Notes: Hello, welcome back to the second part of this story, this is so fun to write, I got inspiration from a fic I've read. And I decided to make my own version of the story. So, without further delay, here is Chapter two

Chapter 2

Diana stood up after crying for the past two hours. She needed to get Elaris out of the house to keep her safe. She went to her room and picked up Elaris, who was standing up, she looked at the time. Four thirty PM. She went out of the house again and into her ship to fly to the capitol.

Aleero City was a big and beautiful place, tall buildings everywhere, hover cars, ships and bikers flying around in all directions. Diana was born and raised here by her parents who worked for Gadgetron, they offered help in any way they can for her and their granddaughter.

Dana's ship flew to a nice gated house.

The mansion where I grew up.

Diana pushed the button and waited.

"May I help you?" A British voice answered the intercom.

"Alfred, it's me Diana. Can you let me in, are mother and father home?"

"Miss, Diana. Your mother and father have gone to the store, but they will return shortly. Would you like to come in?"

"Yes, and I bought Elaris with me too."

"Alright, I will notify your mother and father."

He opened the gates for them and they flew in. Diana shut off power to her ship and she took out Elaris from her car seat. She walked to the door, holding Elaris and knocked. A man opened it.

"Hello, Miss Diana. How are you?" Alfred asked, taking her purse and bag filled with Elaris' stuff.

"I'm okay, could've been worse with Eric."

"Miss Diana. I would suggest leaving him for good."

"Alfred—" he cut her off.

"Miss Diana, I insist. This is not a healthy relationship. Oh, my goodness, Diana, your eye!" Alfred tried to touch her eye but she flinched.

"Sit here, I will get you an ice pack." The butler said as he went into the kitchen and grabbed her ice from the fridge and handed it to her.

"Thank you, Alfred." She set the ice pack on her face.

"Do you want a refreshment? Miss Diana?"

"Yes, water, thank you."

After walking back into the kitchen and grabbing her a glass of water he went back and handed it to her.

"Thank you, Alfred."

Just then, they heard the door open, it was a blonde-haired woman accompanied by a brown-haired man. The woman and man were Diana's parents—their names were Daniel and Rachael Matthews.

Daniel saw them, he walked to both his daughter and granddaughter.

"Diana, what happened to your eye?" he asked.

"Eric hit me."

"He hit you?" Rachael said, he was so enraged at her husband, he refused to call that man his son in law after the torture that she had to endure by this man ever since Elaris was born.

And they are afraid that it will get worse for her.

"When did he hit you, Diana?" Rachael asked.

"He hit me yesterday."

"Okay, Diana, you have to call the Rangers. It's the only way, there's no other option." Daniel told her daughter sternly.

"But, what if he finds out and threatens to kill me?" she asked.

"We are going to hire a lawyer, so that won't happen, alright?" Diana nodded her head, then she hugged them both and thanked them.

"Do you want to stay here for a few days?"

Diana hesitated for a few minutes. She was afraid to go back there, but if she didn't Eric would find her and abuse her again.

"Mother, Father. I appreciate the offer, but I can't, Eric will— "

"Eric can't find you here, honey. He doesn't even know this address. Alright?" Rachael assured her.

Diana nodded and agreed, she needed to get away from that man and his abusive habits towards her.

"Okay, I'll do it."

Rachael put Elaris down in her crib that she has in their guest room. Diana was staying in her bedroom, she finally felt at peace that she was staying somewhere that she wouldn't get hit or beat by that deadbeat of a man. Diana felt relief wash over her as she was able to sleep that night, knowing that neither she, nor Elaris will be harmed.

The sun shone brightly, ships and hover cars flew across in front of her large window. The sunlight shone through her large window, she checked her holo phone and saw sixty-two missed calls from Eric, Sixty-two! She sighed and turned off her phone and got out of her bed.

Her bedroom was large, larger than the one that she had with Eric. The room was also covered in hardwood flooring, a bookshelf was on the wall next to her window.

Diana walked to the window. The only thing that kept herself inside the house was a large glass panel that stretched from the ceiling to the floor. Diana went out of her room and walked to the guest room that Elaris was staying in. She opened the door, she wasn't in her crib.

Mother probably took her downstairs.

She went downstairs and into the kitchen. The kitchen was large. It was also covered in hardwood flooring, pots and pans hung from the middle of the kitchen with an island in the middle. Alfred was in the kitchen, making breakfast for the family.

"Good morning miss, Diana. Breakfast will be ready in a few minutes, and Elaris is with Daniel."

"Thank you, Alfred. Where are they?"

"They are in the living room."

She walked in the room to find Elaris in her mother's lap and her father was playing with her. A game was paused on his PlayStation 2 while the controller was sitting on the floor by him.

"Hi, Diana." Daniel said, Elaris clapped her hands, she smiled and picked up her daughter. "Hello father." Diana smiled as she sat down. She grabs Elaris and starts playing with her. Then, Alfred walked in. "Miss Rachael, Master Daniel, Miss Diana. Breakfast is ready. I've made food for Miss. Elaris as well."

"Thank you, Alfred." Diana said, getting up from her spot on the floor.

They all ate breakfast together. Elaris was being fed by her mother. Diana smiled at her. Daniel walked over to Elaris and tickled her. She let out a fit of giggles, Diana smiled as she saw her mom and daughter playing together.

I wish Eric was like this...

Eric Kelly doesn't work, Diana however works from home. Taking care of Elaris is hard enough, now she has to take care of her husband too. They have money to move out of Pilot Town but he doesn't want that. Diana needed to move out of that house with Elaris fast, but how?

Diana was already scared for Elaris' safety, now she has to worry about herself too.

She just needed to get away from her so-called 'husband' she sighed as she looked at her daughter. "Hi Elaris." She smiled.

"She is so cute, she is going to grow up into an amazing young woman, Diana." Rachael told her.

Rachael smiles and nods. Daniel hugged her, she hugged him tightly, not wanting to let go of her father.

"Elaris look, the Hall of Heroes."
Diana said, stopping to look at the large building that was in front of them.

Elaris smiled and giggled. Diana was happy to see her happy.

Thank god that I'm not home with that man, but... I have to grab our stuff.

She decided to take the Grav Train to Pilot Town; she had to grab her and Elaris' things from the house. When she walked out of the Grav Train that was in Pilot Town, she walked back home.

Home.

Where that man has abused her for four months since Elaris was born. But he didn't take it out on Elaris, and she hopes that she will never do so!

Diana walked into the house with Elaris. She saw the house a mess, the TV was smashed. Eric punched a hole in the wall. Empty beer cans and food wrappers were all over the floor. She breathed a heavy sigh. But, she was here for one thing.

She went upstairs to her and Eric's bedroom and turned on the light. The tiny window viewing Pilot Town wasn't much but. It was something.

She grabbed some clothes and a suitcase, then she shoved them in there along with Elaris' clothes, a toothbrush and toothpaste, she went into her closet and opened a safe. Her brand-new laptop was in there, not opened. She was afraid that Eric was going to find it and take a mallet to it and break her computer.

He did that to the last laptop she'd owned.

She packed it in with the suitcase, as they were about to leave, she picked up Elaris and went down the stairs. Someone opened the door. Eric was standing there with a beer in his hand. Eric had his fist balled up, ready to strike her.

"You stupid whore! You think you can leave me?!" he said, as he punched her hard in the stomach, she regained her footing, holding Elaris, she tried to run out the door, but Eric grabbed her right wrist. She lost her grip on the handle of the suitcase, he grabbed her wrist and squeezed it hard.

She let out a scream of pain as she tried to pry him off of her.

"ERIC STOP! YOU'RE HURTING ME!"

"STOP BEING SO DRAMATIC!"

"IT HURTS STOP!"

He slapped her across the face as she fell, she held Elaris tightly in her free arm.

"YOU DON'T TALK TO ME LIKE THAT YOU SPINELESS, WEAK INDIVIDUAL, DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!"

Diana couldn't do anything at this point, she felt helpless and scared.

Hopefully the neighbors heard this. Or, if they did, maybe. Just a sliver of hope. They will come to her rescue and save her from this never-ending nightmare.

I want the Galactic Rangers to be called so they could arrest this man for abuse...

She sighed. That won't work. Eric is too good at covering his tracks. Diana wanted to run, when she took the chance, she sprinted toward the door. But, she didn't know that Eric had done something to the door.

When she touched the handle, she was shocked with electricity.

He has replaced the door handle so it will do that. I can't believe that man!

She jerked back and glared at him.

Eric said one sentence toward her; "I want this house spotless you stupid whore." He walked to the fridge, grabbed a six pack of beer and left to go upstairs to his bedroom.

Diana sighed and started cleaning the house. She even patched up the hole in the wall. But the TV has to be replaced with a new one.

Diana was finished so she decided to sit down and read a book. Elaris was on the floor playing.

She thought of ways for her and Elaris to escape the hellhole that they lived in, Diana never loved him anymore like she used to.

Now he was an abusive piece of crap who doesn't care about her or their child.

"Well, time to start cooking dinner...." She sighed and started cooking for him.
