"Do I look like a garden fairy to you, Calamari?"

THE THING ABOUT MORGIE IS that he's garbage at keeping secrets. So when he found out that Hook and I were going to Castlecoming together, the rest of the school found out too.
"We need to have a chat, Tinkerbell."
I glanced up from my Arithmancy homework to find Uliana and Maleficent standing in front of me.
"Isn't it a little late for girl talk, Uliana?" I chuckled, my eyes scanning the very empty library. "Don't you have a baby to drown or something?"
"I heard a rumor that you were going to Castlecoming with our very own pirate." The sea witch got straight to the point. "Care to elaborate on how that happened?"
"You tell me." I snarked, a tiny smirk on my lips. "Hook's your friend, I'm surprised he didn't tell you that he'd asked me."
"Hook didn't tell us anything, we heard about it from some freshman, surprisingly enough." Maleficent chimed in, taking the seat next to me.
"What I want to know is why you accepted." Uliana sat across from me at the table, leaning forward menacingly. "What's your scheme, Twinkle Toes?"
"No scheme." I lied, shrugging slightly to come up off as casually as possible. "Dude seems like he knows how to party, and I'm a sucker for a good time."
"You don't seem like much a a party girl, Tinkle Bell." She mocked, making me roll my eyes.
"Do I look like a garden fairy to you, Calamari?" I scoffed, giving Maleficent a 'can-you-believe-her' sort of look. "I grew up in the Fae Realm, we live for a good party."
Uliana looked over at the other fairy in the library with a questioning look. Maleficent just nodded in confirmation.
"Fine, but if you screw him over, you're dead." The sea witch spat, before leaving. "Let's go!"
Maleficent stayed back for a moment. A slightly faltering deadpan on her face. "Just... don't hurt him."
"I never intend to." I responded earnestly, sending a genuine smile to my old friend.
"Maleficent, let's go!" Uliana screeched from the doorway. The fairy sighed, before giving me a nod of respect and leaving.

NOT EVEN TWENTY MINUTES later, my studying was once again interrupted.
"I need to show you something!" Hook said, shutting my textbook and starting to pack up my homework. "You can finish this later."
"Can't this wait until after I finish my homework?" I laughed, raising an eyebrow as he handed me my book bag.
"Nope!" The pirate grinned, grabbing my hand and leading me out of the building. "I promise it will be worth it!"

I'M NOT SURE WHAT I EXPECTED, but I didn't think that James Hook would bring me to a garden.
There was a large willow tree in the middle of a wildly overgrown garden. The only sign of anyone having been near this place, was an old swing that hung from one of the willow's branches.
"How'd you find this place?" I asked my blue eyes wandering around the ivy covered walls that bordered the garden.
"I like to explore the more restricted areas, just to see what makes them so dangerous." He admitted with a shrug. "I found this place last night and thought of you."
"How exactly does this garden remind you of me?" I ask with a laugh escaping my lips.
"It's beautiful, mysterious, and apparently deadly." He answered coyly with a wink. "I'm not quite sure what makes the garden dangerous though."
"It's the foxglove flowers and the hydrangeas." I explained automatically, having seen them when we entered the garden. "Most parts of the foxglove flower are poisonous, including the roots and seeds."
"Pretty and smart, you're getting to be more alluring to me the more we get to know each other." Hook commented smoothly, before picking a rose and handing it to me.
"I suppose that's a good thing, isn't it?" I teased, accepting the rose and looking up at him through my eyelashes.
"Absolutely."
