🦋Chapter Five🦋

"It's obvious for anyone who knows that Chronomancy is an option."

APPARENTLY, WHILE I WAS ON my little escapade with Hook, Red and Chloe got in a fight. I know this, because Red was currently sitting in my dorm complaining.

"She's acting like we're going to murder someone's puppy! We're boosting a book, that's it!" She groaned, sprawled over Fey's bed.

"You have to remember, that this girl was raised to see the world in black and white. That there's good and evil, and nothing in between." I started to explain. "You and I were raised very differently than Chloe was. She'll come around."

"Well, either she's on board by tonight or I'm getting that cookbook by myself!" Red stated stubbornly, as I sat on my own bed directly across from Fey's.

With my left leg folded under me, I twirled my wand around my fingers. Turning to face Red, I curiously asked. "Where'd Chloe go anyway?"

"She's getting advice from her mom."

"Ella is the best advice giver." I nodded in approval, causing Red to snap her head in my direction.

"Wait, how'd you know Ella was Chloe's mom?!"

"Dude they wear the same monochrome colors and she's always staring at Ella in awe." I laughed, grinning in amusement at the scarlet haired girl. "It's obvious for anyone who knows that Chronomancy is an option."

"I guess that makes sense." She hummed, sitting up to face me.

"Besides, you're not much better with your confused stares towards Bridget." I admitted with an amused smirk, as Red stared at me wide eyed.

"How long have you known?" Red sighed, seemingly accepting that I just know stuff.

"Since the day after I met you guys." I told the redhead with a grin and a shrug.

"And you just decided not to bring it up?" Red asked, a befuddled look on her face.

"In my defense, I wasn't sure how badly my knowledge of the future would mess up the timeline." I admitted, throwing my hands up in surrender.

"No more lies okay?" She told me, pointing a teasing finger in my face.

"No more lies." I agreed, before pretending to chomp at the finger in my face.

"So how's your boyfriend?" The princess of hearts asked, wiggling her eyebrows. Red then pulled a red knight chess piece from her pocket and started playing with it.

"Confusingly sweet." I sighed, leaning against the bedpost.

"How unexpected." Red commented, propping herself up on her forearms.

"Right!" I exclaimed, throwing myself dramatically back onto my bed. "Whenever I think that maybe he's up to something, he does something that's super genuine and it makes my heart all fluttery."

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you're falling in love with Hook."

"Red, that's ridiculous!" I denied, a nervous giggle erupted from my mouth.

"No, it's obvious!" She argued, sitting up to properly bicker with me.

I chuckled in amusement and with a shake of my head, I told the scarlet haired girl. "A) it's far too early for that, B) Him and his friends are trying to prank one of my friends, and C) I highly doubt that he feels the same."

"Tink, I think you're really dense if you believe that, that boy isn't absolutely head over heels for you!" She groaned, as she got up and started pacing. "Your obliviousness is making me pace! Are you seeing this?!"

"Red, we're not having this conversation right now!"

"Then when?! The dance is tomorrow!" She scoffed, sassily awaiting my answer.

"Eventually!" I lied, knowing full well that I had no intention of continuing this conversation.

"I'm going to strangle you, Tinkerbell."
