"We need some damage control. Otherwise this isn't going to end well." Glimmer whispers to Bow as they glance between Catra and Adora.

"You're right. I will go with Catra, you go with Adora." Bow says already making his way over to Catra. Glimmer however stops Bow in his tracks. "Actually Bow, I think I should go with Catra on this one. Trust me. You go with Adora." Bow nods and walks off to Adora.

Glimmer makes her way over to Catra. When Catra notices Glimmer making her way over, her stomach churns in nerves. Why couldn't she get Bow? "I am assuming I drew the short straw?" She joked. Glimmer gives her a quick glare and grabs Catra transporting them to The Academy. The place they all met. "Want to explain to me what that was all about?" Glimmer asks Catra, raising an eyebrow.

Catra sighs. "Look Sparkles, its just- she-" Tears already start pooling in my eyes and I groan in frustration. Why must Glimmer and Bow have this affect on me! Especially stupid Sparkles and her way of understanding me. Glimmer immediately pulls me in for a hug. "Catra hey, I get it. But I know you still love her. So why this date with Mermista?"

Catra shrugs. "I don't know, I mean I like hanging with her, she's also great in bed. And I am not quite ready to forgive Adora. She- the way she left. I don't think I could ever just go back to the way things were. But I know it's not fair. I know Mermista and I are just prolonging this thing for no reason. But right now I couldn't care less." Glimmer nods in understanding before sighing and walking over to the swings sitting on them. She chuckles and lightly taps Catra's shoulder.

"Remember how we first met?" Catra laughs and shakes her head as she sits beside Glimmer. "How could I forget? It was truly one for the books." They both end up laughing like maniacs.

See Adora and Catra grew up in a foster home together. Catra was always getting into fights. That Adora would automatically defend her in whether she was in the wrong or not. One day Catra had gotten sick so she missed Friday and Monday. Hearing all these stories about these great kids called Bow and Glimmer over the weekend. Catra was honestly skeptical and pissed. I mean Adora was her best friend and she already tolerated Lonnie, Kyle and Rogelio. So why add more people she thought. So when Tuesday rolled by, Catra naturally picked her fight with Glimmer. To Catra Glimmer not only looked like a sparkle bomb but an easy target, little did she know Glimmer could actually punch. They were wrestling on the floor, both dirty with a few scratches and bruises by the time Adora and Bow pulled them apart. From that day on they were sworn enemies which caused problems for Bow and Adora. Especially since Catra and Bow seemed to easily befriend each other in arts and crafts when Catra made a paper airplane and flew it at Bow in an attempt to start a fight just for being friends with Sparkles, Bow however in kind beamed and build a better plane flying one back at Catra. From that day on they would make all sorts of paper things just to show each other. The only problem was when the four would hang out Glimmer and Catra were more then ready to throw insults at each other. An occasional pinch or even punch. However neither were fond of getting caught by Bow or Adora. They'd be damned if they got another lecture about friendship. So they learned how to taunt each other in secret or just slide a questionable insult that made Bow and Adora suspicious but not enough for a reprimand. They found themselves quite enjoying this activity. It was only when they went to Bright Moon high that they actually became friends. That was also when Catra finally offically got adopted into the Horde family. When Adora was adopted by Madam Razz Catra was miserable. Madam Razz always let Catra come over though, but she just couldn't take one more kid. But her being adopted led to the new nickname Glimmer appointed Catra. Horde Scum, finally retaliating the Sparkles Catra would call her. They spent the entirety of the Academy denying friendship even when they would laugh at similar jokes or they both would be the most competitive people in the school especially with each other.

It was only when Adora and Bow staged a mission where Adora was being bullied that Glimmer and Adora worked together to get back at Scorpia who was more then happy to help with the plan, that they started tolerating each other. They even celebrated and hugged before quickly letting go and showing disgust. But once highschool started someone decided to bully Glimmer as she wore full pink with sparkles. Catra immediately retaliated. "Hey! Don't you dare make fun of her!" The kid then made a huge mistake thinking they could take on Catra. Catra proceeded to take him down with one swift kick. When someone tried to get Catra from behind Glimmer immediately punched him square in the jaw. They then run away laughing. Glimmer then teased Catra the rest of the day. "Wow Horde Scum I had no idea you cared so much." To which a blushing angry Catra responded with. "Don't get used to it Sparkles, it is not because I like you!" That's how Bow and Adora found them playfully throwing remarks at each other while laughing. They have been best friends ever since. That's also when Bow excitedly announced they were the best friend squad. "Bow you have been calling us that since we met." Glimmer stated but Bow just shrugged it off saying. "Well it didn't count when you two just wanted to kill each other." The four of them laughed together reliving all of their favourite Glimmer and Catra war memories.

Like the time Catra took all the glitter pens in class so Glimmer couldn't get any, Glimmer proceeded to bring her own the next day which Catra just "borrowed." She still has them to this day unused, accept when Glimmer comes over that is. Or the time Glimmer placed fake mice all over the class just to get Catra well agitated and chasing corners all day. She ended up with Detention that day, unlucky for Sparkles who was wheezing on the floor she also gained detention. Or the time they both tied for the race at the end of school, they were so pissed to be crowned fastest kid together.

Catra glanced at Glimmer from beside her, also seeming riddled with the thoughts of their past. "Thanks for being a great friend Glim." Glimmer turned to look at Catra and simply smiled. "Couldn't have asked for a better friend Cat." It was true, Yes Glimmer loved Adora as a friend and back when her and Bow were just friends she cherished that as well. But there was one thing her and Catra always understood, the need to prove themselves. To rise above. Being the daughter of Angella and Micah had its expectations on it's own accord. They were royalty and she was always treated like a fragile little girl. And she desperately wanted to prove she was so much more then that. And she knew Catra related on more ways then one. Being a foster child made her want to prove she was worth more then what people thought of her. It's always what drove those two to be extremely competitive. And drove them to do stupid things at times. "Don't get sappy on me sparkles." Catra joked, a blush tinting her cheeks.

"Adora come on you have to talk out your feelings you can't just punch stuff!" Bow said from beside Adora, who was currently punching a punching bag.

"Why would you bring me to the gym if you didn't want me to punch things!" Adora exclaims clearly frustrated.

"I didn't! You ran here!" Bow's voice cracks as he raises both his hands in frustration.

Adora sighs and sits down her head in her hands. "She's going on a date with her Bow." Adora whispered so softly she almost couldn't hear herself. She clenches her fists and was about to punch the floor, when Bow caught her hands and brought her in for a hug. Adora immediately exhaled a sob. "I-I love her so much! And now she's gone. All because I am an idiot and Mermista is all uggh I am gorgeous! And sarcastic and have Catra's hunour and my hair is so beautiful!" Adora exclaims through sobs.

"Adora come on! First of all your hair is amazing and Catra loves your little pouf thing, and your humour. Secondly you would have to be blind to not notice that she still loves you. She just- she needs this right now. But you haven't lost her. You could never lose each other. I am pretty sure you two would be too stubborn to not find each other if you were ever in two different universes." Bow said as he rubbed soothing circles into Adora's back.

Adora chuckles. "Then we'd argue on who found who first." Bow nods his head and smiles. "Exactly. You two are two inseparable stubborn idiots so don't worry you practically made for each other." Adora snorts and punches Bow's shoulder.

They sit in silence for a bit, Adora fidgeting beside Bow. Bow sighs, "fine go and punch some more stuff."

"Oh thank you!" Adora says as though she was about to die if she didn't punch something, she happily bounces on her feet and continues punching out her feelings of jealousy, anger and sadness.

After quite some time of punching Bow finally stands up. "Okay come on, let's go somewhere." He drags Adora away from the punching bag.

"Where are we going?" Adora asks.

"Somewhere important to see some important people." Bow responded promptly.

"That's cryptic." Adora mutters. When they finally make it to The Academy her eyes light up. She remembers meeting Bow and Glimmer here, they were trying to find this super smooth rock which I found first. Glimmer immediately tackled me to the ground. Announcing she saw it first. Bow proceeded to yell Calm down at the two of them as they wrestled for the rock, Adora wasn't even sure why she was fighting for it but honestly she just felt kinda upset that she was accused of stealing the rock I mean finders keepers loser weepers am I right? She didn't even want the rock, so she let go to express her frustrations, Glimmer doing the same. Both of them using wild hand gestures while Bow nervously watched them. It was only when some other kid picked up the rock while we were bickering that they teamed up to get the rock back. Adora later turned it into a necklace which she gave to Glimmer. Glimmer never takes it off. It's a symbol of their friendship now.

This place had so many memories, the Glimmer and Catra war. Bow and Adora making sand castles, also them pretending not to notice Glimmer and Catra attempting to be sneaky with pranks. They knew Glimmer and Catra would become great friends one day. Adora shook her head of the thoughts and focused on Bow, "Bow who are-" Adora's words got caught in her throat when she looked at the swings. Glimmer and Catra, of course that's who they were here to see. "Come on." Bow whispers as they made their way over. Adora slightly nervous to see Catra after the whole date thing.

"There room for two more?" Bow suddenly asked from behind them. Catra and Glimmer turned to see Bow and Adora. Catra gulped but smiled. "I don't see why not." Bow and Adora joined them then. All four of them sitting on these swings like they were little kids again. And suddenly everything felt okay again. Like they would be okay. "Best friend squad-" Catra cut off Bow.

"Back together again." She whispered. Smiling to herself. Yeah everything would be okay. No matter what. The silence surrounded them soon after. But it was a comfortable silence one they could last in together for eternity. "Hey guys...Promise nothing bad will ever happen to us?" Catra asked looking at everyone.

"Nothing bad will happen, as long as we have each other." Adora whispered back. Adora intending those words mainly for her and Catra but she meant it for the whole group as well. And she believed it as long as they stick together, nothing bad could happen to them. "You promise?" Catra asked looking directly at Adora for this one.

"I promise." Adora whispered. After Catra and Adora kept staring at each other they finally smiled and turned to Bow and Glimmer. Glimmer smiled. "Of course I promise. Besides we have luck on our side."

"We're the best friend squad, we don't need luck, nothing bad will happen. As long as we have each other." Bow whispers back.

Catra softly punched Bow's shoulder. "All you had to do was say I promise nerd." Everyone chuckled. And everything was finally at peace.
