"Horde Prime sir, we are ready for the mission." Horde Prime smirks at me clearly delighted his plan will finally kick start after a thousand years of waiting. "That will be all little sister. Don't forget to steal children that will be of use to us. Those that can turn the tide once they're on our side." I simply nod smirking at myself. I have been watching all the kids in training. Even my own child.

"I already have the perfect candidates." Adora will be our best Asset.

Catra stares up at her roof blankly while Mermista sleeps beside her. Adora is really back? After three years? I honestly thought she just wouldn't come back at one point. I led myself to believe that she was truly gone, to try and cope. To hopefully move on. Not that I managed that actually being a possibility, she has my heart, she had my heart. Then she broke it. But now she's back and all the emotions of the day she ended it. The day she left comes bubbling back and I am left feeling sad and empty again. And angry. I am so fucking angry. My tail twitches as I think about how I lost her. How she left me. She must have a reason right? Why couldn't she just tell me then.

I feel the empty space in my bed beside me. I groan and get up grumpy. "Adora! Come back to bed!" I shout. I look around my room but she is nowhere to be seen, I swiftly get up and make my way down stairs where my parents are eating breakfast. "Hey where's Adora?"

"Oh she said she had to go." I blink and quickly rush up stairs to change then I dial her number. 'Calling Princess❤😏' The phone hits the dial tone. 'Hey its Adora! I am probably busy kissing Catra! Adora! You can't just say that! I gotta go bye! Leave a message!' I bite my lip and call Glimmer. 'Calling Sparkles💫🤚'

"Hey Catra"

"Hey sparkles is Adora with you? She left in a rush this morning."

"No, what's wrong?"

"I don't know yet." I sigh and leave the house searching everywhere for Adora. I eventually stop at a field of flowers and sit down sighing.

"Hey Catra." I jump and turn seeing Adora behind me. I glare at her and tackle her to the ground. "Adora! Where the hell were you! I was so worried, you weren't picking up!"

Adora gently pushes me off her and sits up avoiding eye contact. "Adora whats- what's going on?"

"Catra I am so sorry but I had to- we have to break up." My eyes widen as tears fill them up. I quickly move away from Adora and stand up. Looking down at her with disbelief on my face. "What!?"

She stands up just as quickly. "I-I don't want to. I don't! But I have to leave and I don't know for how long!" She is still avoiding eye contact.

"Adora look at me." She hesitantly meets my eyes. I take her hands quickly. "We can make it work! We'll talk- so please stay with me."

Adora shakes my hand off. "No Catra we can't, I just can't-" my eyebrows scrunch and anger quickly flairs up inside me. I clench my fists and huff.

"What do you mean we can't. Long distance isnt impossible! All you have to do is say yes!" I say my voice hard. Adora steps back and shakes her head.

"No Catra. I just came to say bye. I am leaving now."

"Adora please don't." My voice cracking slightly as the tears roll down my cheeks. "I love you."

"I am sorry Catra." Adora sniffs, she brings me in for a hug, I am stiff in her arms though. She pulls back way too soon and then walks off without looking back. I drop to my knees and sob. She left me. She wouldn't even try and make it work. Why? Why couldn't she just stay.

I quickly wipe off the forming tears of the memory. And sigh as I shake my head. "Look I get it. Adora is back, it means this thing is over, we both knew it had an experation date, don't feel bad because you're the one who ended up doing it." Mermista suddenly says from beside me. My eyes widen as I turn my head to look at her. Her face is turned away from me. Avoiding my eyes. My hand gently cups her cheek turning her face to look at me. "Hey, I wouldn't just ditch you like that. Just because she's back doesn't mean I forgive her yet."

Mermista chuckles. "You even more stubborn then me. So what you gonna keep me as a 'fuck you Adora' safety blanket?" I smile at the thought. This is why it's easy with Mermista, we get each others sense of humour. We both chilled. She was just the right person I needed. And I know she needed me too. "As tempting as that is. I wouldn't use you like that, but I am definitely not ready to give you up just yet. So stick with me for a little while longer?"

Mermista smirks suddenly. Her face completely smug. "Are you trying to ask me something there Catra?" I chuckle and tug her closer by my tail. As I pretend to think long and hard. Mermista eventually groans. "Get to the point, before I wet you."

I give her a pointed look. Then I smirk. "Oh please do." I tease, Mermista quickly shoves my face back as I laugh. "Ugh that was lame and you know it." She says smiling at me.

"Okay okay!" I chuckle then smile at her. "What I was saying is, we basically act like a couple, the whole group thinks we head over heels for each other-"

"Idiots." Mermista mutters. I chuckle and nod.

"Complete idiots. So why not go on an actual date to test out our so called love and if there's really nothing there we don't take it further but naturally we have one last fuck." I raise my eyebrows waiting for her response.

Mermista smirks "Of course. So when is this date?" Mermista asks.

"A surpise now go back to sleep." Mermista groans but snuggles against me as I smile and finally close my eyes. Maybe I can make things with Mermista work.

Today I wake up without the help of Glimmer and Bow, simply because my mind is running miles on it's own. So I get up and get dressed and dash out to grab them some coffee's this time. On my way to the coffee shop on campus I run into DT casually leaning against the wall. I sigh, "lemme guess you could smell the drama?"

Double Trouble chuckles as they push off the wall then pushes me against it caging me in, I can't help the blush that goes across my cheeks. Can you blame me? They are smoking. "On the contrary I smelt it yesterday already, Adora is a lovely girl by the way, I just know you by now, when something is troubling you, you quite the early bird, kitten." I scoff and push off the wall slightly leaning my face forward so your noses are almost touching. "So what you're here to find out what happened?"

Double Trouble leans away then. "I am not a monster. You can tell me if you like, I am here to company you to grab some coffee." I smile and nod. We both make our way to the coffee shop. And I end up ordering five drinks. A latte for Bow, a cinnamon frappuccino for Sparkles, A caramel frappuccino for DT, a normal coffee for me and Cappuccino for Adora. Double Trouble raises their perfectly shaped eyebrow but doesn't mention it as they thank me. We walk in silence back to the dorms until I groan. "Okay fine I will tell you." I say.

"Didn't ask, but the suspense is killing me so do tell." Double Trouble says as they sip their drink. I give them a quick glare which they shrug to, then I tell them everything that happened, including my new found date with Mermista. "Kitten, you never fail to disappoint." They applaud.

"What do I do DT?" I ask helplessly. They scrunch their face and look at me like I am stupid, then they poke my forehead.

"First of all rub that pathetic look off your face, this isn't the fierce bitch I love. Secondly right now I think all you can do is wait for Adora to make it right. And by that I mean, wait for her to tell you why she left, for now I love your fuck Mermista detour." They shrug with a slight smirk. I chuckle, of course.

Once we finally at Glimmers dorm I knock how she would. I hear Glimmer groan from inside smiling to myself as I expect Bow to open the door, accept he doesn't. And I make direct eye contact with Adora. We both gasp as we hold eye contact. Double Trouble smirks and sips their drink from beside me. "Hey Catra" Adora whispers. That's when Bow and Glimmer both rush to the door. And seem nervous about the entire situation. "Hey Adora" I gulp and bite my lip. Double Trouble looks at each of us excitment bubbling within them.

I clear my throat "I brought you all your favourites. Now get ready! Or we will be late." I say after a minute of awkward staring. Everyone finally kicks into action accepting the drinks and saying thanks before getting ready. Double Trouble and I sit in the living room as we wait. "You can pretend to not enjoy this so much you know." I say grumpily.

"Oh Darling, I ain't about that life. This is better then that time we caught Scorpia and Perfuma making out backstage during the valedictorian speech." I laugh at that. Now that was entertaining.

Once those three are finally done we make our way down the hall. Glimmer stops walking because Adora and her need to go the other way for the first lesson. They need to go to Enchantments and we heading to Negotiations.

"Catra-" Adora starts, I was wondering when she would say something she has been awkwardly practicing beside us and it's been painfully obvious, but now is not the time.

"Adora we can talk about this later seriously." I give her a small smile. "See you later Sparkles" I then look at Adora. "Princess." Adora blushes as the three of us turn the corner to get to our first class.

"It took her the entire walk to say Catra." Double Trouble says with amusement. I snort as Bow scratches the back of his head. "That's Adora for you." Bow and I say the same time. Before laughing.

As the day goes on, DT goes off to Transfiguration, which I bet they are excited about. They get to be in a room with Adora and all the other princesses who can morph things with their bodies or out of thin air. Which is basically every princess. Even Entrapta simply because she can create things quite quickly.

When Double Trouble walks through the door, I can't wait to talk to them. They must know something and unlike Bow and Glimmer they won't keep it from me to protect my feelings. They don't even know me. Besides if they really love the drama they'll tell me. DT senses my eyes on them because we make eye contact and they smirk. "Hey Hot stuff." They say as they sit in the middle of me and Glimmer. Much to Glimmers irritation. "So DT-" I start.

"You want to know what's the deal with Catra, am I right?" Double Trouble interrupts me as they casually inspect their nails. I nod quickly. I knew this would work. "Well hate to break to you Darling, you going to have to figure this one out on your own." I gape at them in complete shock as Glimmer looks proud at DT's choice.

The rest of the class, was spent focusing on the lesson of the day, watching Everyone demonstrate how far they came with their abilities. I went last. "For the honour of gray skull!" The people who haven't seen the transformation before look mesmerized. But luckily class is finally over, I sigh and detransformation as we all head to the exit.

Suddenly Double Trouble is beside us. "So Adora know any good date spots, I am pretty sure Catra needs some help on where to take Mermista." They smirk as my face morphs into shock. My heart aches as I clench my fists and glare at Mermista. Then back at Double Trouble. "You're lying." I say through gritted teeth. My voice hard.

Double Trouble simply laughs. "Oh Darling, I am not and even if I was I would wish I wasn't. Right Mermista?" Mermista stops walking then meets Double Troubles eyes before locking eyes with Glimmer.

Mermista glances awkwardly at Adora. "Uhm what?" Double Trouble circles Mermista transforming into Catra while they do it. "About our date tonight, or more specifically your date with kitten."

Mermista swats at Double Trouble as a blush forms on her face. "Back off DT and yes that is right. Now move." Mermista says as she avoids eye contact with Glimmer and Adora making it for the door.

Double Trouble, still in Catra form leans closer to Adora. "I can see how they would like each other, they both so- what's the word. Alike?" Double Trouble transforms back and makes they way to the exit. "Have a great day further Darling." They say over their shoulder.

Glimmer gets hold of me and Teleports us to the outside of Catra and Bow's class.

Just then we see Bow and Catra exit the class with Lonnie, Kyle and Rogelio, as Bow yells. "YOU'RE GOING ON A DATE WITH MERMISTA!?" And Catra sushes him before they both realize we are right in front of them. Bow yelps as I make eye contact with Catra who immediately looks away, Bow starts to chuckle nervously. "Hey guys." He says.

"I am sensing some awkward tension." Entrapta whispers as she exits the vents.

"Don't you just love the smell of drama?" Double Trouble says from their postion leaning agaisnt the wall that's right next to the vent, in Kyle form before transforming back into themselves. The actual Kyle yelps at that.

And suddenly today seems worse then when I saw Mermista and Catra making out.
