Dark's POV

I held onto Anti for what seemed like hours before he finally calmed down. I only laid there thinking of what was going to happen to me. I didn't want him to worry about me. In all honesty, I wasn't worth it. Especially after what I did. I laid my head on the bed and closed my eyes trying to think. If I was being honest, I didn't have much time until I was no longer, well, me.

I looked at my hand and saw the tips of my fingers were now black and corroded, traveling up my hand. A chuckle left my lips and I covered my eyes.

"Dark? You awake?" I peeked at him through my fingers.

"Yeah?" He looked at me.

"Why did you come after me?" I uncovered my face and looked at him fully.

"I care about you bro. You couldn't expect me to just sit around while you suffered." He just looked to the side while using his arm to cover his mouth.

His shoulders suddenly jerked up after he let out a raspy cough. He turned away from me and sank to the floor exposing his back. My eyes started giving off a pink glow and I stared down at his back horrified.

What happened to him?

Everything seemed to slow down as the scars on his back stood out.

How did I not know about that?

I was losing myself.

I will kill whoever did that to him!

A faint voice rang out around me causing me to become agitated.

They will dIe bY My hAnDs.

Dark!

I reached out for him.

Don't worry buddy, big brother is here. No one will ever hurt you again.

I let the darkness in. After all, the darkness is my friend.

Anti's POV

I quickly turned away from Dark and started coughing, feeling the same burning sensation in my lungs. It's only getting worse.
I wiped the blood from the corner of my mouth and looked back at Dark.

"I'm fine." I waved off the coughing fit even though he never asked.

"Dark?" I looked at him and gasped.

He was sitting there staring directly at me with his eyes ablaze with hate. I called out to him, earning a deep growl from him.

"Dark, snap out of it!" I commanded.

He only got up and reached out for me, his fingers now claws and his teeth sharpened like mini knives. I put on a PokerFace and held up a hand freezing time as to stop people from interrupting.

"Dark, I said STOP!" He halted and looked at me lazily, making me unsure if he was even fully awake.

"Dark. Sit down." He just smiled and licked his lips.

Only then did I see the black liquid pooling in his mouth. A tiny bit slid down his face and dripped onto the floor below him. I looked back up at him and his eyes. His eyes....They were no longer the compassionate ones my brother once had. No. They were a deep black with blueish black veins trailing from the corners of them.

"No..." I looked at him in horror.

"I just got you back!" I touched his cheek and his breath warmed my freezing hand.

I closed my eyes trying to stop the tears from coming when I felt my hand being grabbed. I quickly looked at him again and I saw a pair of deep brown eyes staring back at me. He gave me a sad, pained smile.

"Anti, please! It hurts...finish me!" He pleaded obviously in pain.

I shook my head no.

"I can't!" I won't.

"Anti, please! I can't hurt you again...ACK!!" He doubled over in pain and gripped his chest.

My hand was being crushed in his and I felt myself breaking just looking at his frail frame.

"Dark, you promised! I just got you back!" He just looked at me, pleading with his tear filled eyes.

"Please!" He just broke down.

His wails echoed through the halls and at that point, I couldn't tell if it was from the pain or something else. I fell to my knees and embraced him in a hug, not wanting to let him go.

" I love you brother.." I felt the first tear fall from my eye and I forced myself to look at him.

He was suffering. His eyes continued to flash from black to brown to pink and his tears framed his face.

"It's over isn't it brother?" He forced a laugh that mixed with the shriek that came right after.

I bit my lip and tightly close my eyes feeling more tears fall. I rested my forehead against his own and we both gripped the back of each other's heads.

"I love yOu AnTi" I focused on my right eye and looked him in his eyes.

"I love you more..." I felt the power surge through my eye and felt all of his weight fall against me. I just sat there cradling it.

"I love you! B-Brother!" My wails filled the room and I just pulled him closer to me.

All of his warmth had left his body and I couldn't bare to look at him.

"Why Did IT HAVE TO BE ME!!" I screamed to no one.
