No More
It was a time of celebration. The heroes of war finally returned. Dressed up in their colorful armor, with their weapons at hand, they have just got back from forming a treaty.
People crowded around them, cheering and worshipping their saviors.
"Welcome home Roy!"
"Make way for the general!"
"Alfred, your wife is waiting for you!"
"Hip Hip Hooray!!!"
The cheering could be heard for miles. The leader of the country stood atop his balcony and gave a long, boring speech, but people were to relieved to care.
No more bloodshed.
No more death.
Families are back together again.
Lovers don't have to fear anymore.
Except for one.
As the celebration resumed outside, there was one little house with the windows locked and the curtains shut.
Inside, there was a table and on the table were daisies, which were starting to lose their vibrant colors and were starting to wilt.
A young woman lay curled up in a ball on a chair, her knees to her chin, her hands to her ears.
She can't hear the cheers.
She can't hear the music.
Tears were forming and were falling down her face.
She was shaking, as if she were holding something in.
Then
She screamed.
Tears now became rivers down her face as she cried.
"Please" she said.
"Where are you Feli?!"
"I want to see you"
Her cries could not be heard over the noise outside.
She was alone.
With no one to hold her.
No one to comfort her.
She was alone.
As she cried for her love, two arms wrapped around her. The figure rested his head on the crook of her neck.
But she couldn't see him
As she cried, he cried as well. He gripped onto her tightly, afraid to vanish.
"Feli..." she whimpered out. He lifted his head up to look at her, his curl bobbing.
"Where are you? Please save me!"
But there was nothing he could do.
"Please, I want to hear your voice call my name again!" She yelled at apparently nothing, hoping he would hear her.
He did hear her.
And as quickly as he appeared, he disappeared just a quickly.
Nothing could be done.
He won't be coming home.
(Name) would not let herself believe it.
So everyday, she would go out into the square, clutching a bouquet of daisies.
Searching for him.
Because she still believed that he would come home...
