I woke up to hear screeching from the bus wheels. I noticed I had fallen asleep on Vanoss's shoulder and sat up. I looked around to see everyone getting ready, and I watched as those in the back made their way up front. I stood up and followed them, Vanoss trailing behind me. We got off the bus in silence and walked towards the 7/11 in silence.

There was only one other vehicle in the parking lot so at least we didn't have a good chance of hurting someone. I could barely see anything as the guys wouldn't let me turn on my flashlight, but when we got to the front doors the light from inside gave enough light for me to see the others. I looked over at Vanoss and saw he was holding a bag.

We went in the store and I watched Ohm punch the cashier in the face hard, knocking him out instantly. Wildcat shot each of the cameras and he and Terroriser went outside to stand guard. I watched everyone work and went around bagging items we could sell. 

We were only there for five minutes before we heard Wildcat whistle, which as I was told meant police. We all made our way out of the building quickly, with Vanoss trailing behind us and Wildcat and Terroriser shooting at the wheels of each cop car.

We ran to the bus and were quick to find seats near the front when I heard Moo curse loudly. Mini stood up and ran off the bus and Wildcat got in, jumping in the driver's seat and taking off. I looked around at everyone and watched Lui open his window and stand up, shooting a gun out the window. We were missing Vanoss, Mini, Moo, and Terroriser.

I took a deep breath as eventually Lui stopped shooting and sat down, announcing that we were clear of police. Everyone seemed to relax and Wildcat cheered, taking off his mask. I smiled and leaned against the window, feeling a small sense of dread wash over me. I didn't want the experience to be over. Ohm was beside me in the seat, and when he took off his rabbit mask, it landed between us.

"Oh, fuck that feels good. Delirious' first mission with us and only one of us got injured! You think the new member caught them off guard, made them hold fire until he couldn't see? They did that with Lui." I looked at Nogla in confusion as Lui and Basically agreed.

"Seriously? Why didn't they with me?" I looked at Ohm and Basically shrugged and Nogla snorted. "Because you look like an old man." Basically and Nogla laughed and Ohm rolled his eyes. Lui chuckled and the bus stopped.

"Alright Ohm you're first. Any injuries?" Ohm stood up and grabbed his mask. "None." He walked up to Wildcat and handed him his mask. "You can expect your money in three days. Night Ohm." Ohm nodded at Wildcat and waved bye to everyone before getting off the bus. Wildcat started driving again and the process continued until Wildcat and I were the last on the bus. Everyone left the things they stole in the bus so I figured I would too when it was my time.

"Come up here Delirious, I want to talk to you." I swallowed back my nervousness and went up to sit in the seat behind Wildcat. "Lighten up man, I don't bite." I hummed and Wildcat sighed. "How you doing after that? First mission's always a lot." I sighed and nodded.

"That was fucking crazy man. Is Moo going to be alright?" Wildcat nodded and glanced at me from the rear view mirror. "Of course he will, we've all been there. Mini's taking a shit ton of first aid and health classes online. Best doctor I know and he hasn't even graduated." I didn't know if Wildcat was just trying to calm me down, but I did feel better. Wildcat didn't seem too phased about it so I figured it was fine.

"You going to want to stay in the gang?"

"Wait, that's a choice?" Wildcat looked at me confused and nodded slowly. I hadn't realized the group would let me say no, for whatever reason. I couldn't answer Wildcat's question immediately. I had a lot to consider, after all.

On one hand I enjoyed the adrenaline rush and being part of something, after being alone for so long. On the other hand I could get arrested or die, and then what would happen to my mother? Was misbehaving with this gang worth my mom losing another child? Being in the gang was what I wanted, but it wasn't good for my mom, and I had to decide which was more important to me.

"You don't have to answer right now but just know that's what Vanoss is going to ask you in a few minutes. If you don't want in we have ways to protect you from unwanted attention but if you rat us out on anything we can cut you out of the equation. If you do want in, then great. I forgot the last half of that speech, I stop paying attention after the intimidation bit." Oh god did he say in a few minutes? We stopped a bit away from the park and I sighed heavily.
