Making Progress

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

I watched as the twin witches walked in. They were elderly women with green wrinkled skin. They wore black robes. One of the witches had ice blue hair while the other had fire red hair.

"Kotake. Koume." I greeted while making my way towards the twins. Ganzon hold told me about these two and how helpful they'd be.

"Miss (Y/N)," they greeted with the utmost respect even though I was clearly younger than them. "I'm glad you two could make it."

"The pleasure is all ours. When we heard that you were searching for someone from Gerudo, my sister and I did not hesitate to come," Kotake, the fire haired witch spoke.

I smiled, "That's good to hear. Now, I've heard that you've got another form?" I asked while looking at the witches. "May I see it?"

"Of course," they replied in unison. I watched as the two witches merged together to become one person. Their new form was much taller and this one had half ice and half fire as hair.

"We are Twinrova," the new form spoke, the voices of both twins still evident.

I looked at the new form in approval. Ganzon was right about the twins. They were very powerful indeed. Another great addition to my ever-growing army. "Very nice. You can revert back now."

As Twinrova changed back I looked at my co-captains as they walked to my side. "You've done it again (Y/N)," Vaati said while patting my shoulder. "You've found another great power."

"Of course," I said with confidence, "anything to get those bastards to suffer." I averted my gaze back to Kotake and Koume.

"Kotake, Kouma, these are my co-captains, Vaati and Skull Kid. They will be helping with the invasion." They greeted each other as I made my way to the war table. I observed it thinking of what to do next.

"Skull Kid." I called while motioning for him to come to my side.

"Yes (Y/N)?" he asked as I kept my gaze on the map. "I want you to start placing the Stalchildren and Stalfos throughout Hyrule. Place them somewhere where it won't be obvious. The plan is to slowly have them increasing in number. Slow enough for Hyrule not to notice, but fast enough for them to start taking over little by little. Make sense?"

Skull Kid nodded. "Good," I said while turning my back to him.

I remember when Skull Kid had hesitated to send out the Stalfos and Stalchildren. He had told me they were weak and could be easily crushed with one hit, and it was true. So as a result, I had gathered them together and made them stronger with the powers I had gained from my sword. The Stalchildren and Stalfos were powerful now. Just like the Gibdos and ReDead, they could drain a person's life.

"Vaati," I spoke, "How are the Gibdos and ReDead? Have they been increasing their speed?" Vaati went to a shelf and took out and document and stood by my side.

"They have been making great progress (Y/N). Unlike before, when they would slowly approach their prey, they can run and jump, completely surprising their prey. The Hylians won't even know what hit them. They'll be completely powerless once we've captured Zelda. If I may ask, when will be capturing her?"

I thought for a moment. There was never a split second when Zelda was by herself and we needed to make sure no one caught us when we did the act. "We'll be capturing her quite soon. I just need to send something to watch her."

"(Y/N)," Skull Kid started, "I brought one fairy with me when I came to Achlys Valley. Perhaps he could be of assistance."

"May I see this fairy?"

Skull Kid nodded as he took of his straw hat. When he did that, a purple fairy came out.

"Did you need me, Skull Kid?" the tiny fairy asked.

The purple fairy floated. "(Y/N), this is Tael. I think he'll be a great watch person. He came with me when he lost his sister, Tatl. He's been trying to find her ever since."

I knew that I was going to get along with this fairy. We were kind of the same in a way. We were both brought here by someone and we were both looking for our sibling. I smiled at the fairy, "Nice to meet you, Tael. I'm (Y/N)."

The little fairy jingled, "Nice to meet you (Y/N). Tael is at your service. Any friend of Skull Kid's is a friend of mine." I smiled again, "Thank you, Tael. I'm glad we have you. Okay, so what we're going to have you do is this. I want you to spy on Zelda for the meantime. And when there is a moment that you catch her alone, with absolutely no one, tell us. Make sense?"

The fairy jingled in response, "Yes, (Y/N). Shall I go right now?"

I nodded as Tael was about to fly out the window. "One more thing, Tael." The fairy stopped. "Please make sure you don't get caught. We can't afford to have people finding out about us."

"Gotcha," the fairy said as he flew out the window. I averted my gaze back to the twin witches.

"Kotake, I want you to head to the Zora domain and start making the temperature increase. Slowly but surely. I want you to make them think that the heat is just a seasonal thing. And you, Koume, I want you to head to the Gorons and start a winter there. Start with cold breezes first and then gradually make your way to harsh blizzards. Understood?"

The twins nodded and left the war room. I sat on a dark wooden chair placed by the table. Skull Kid had left to set up the Stalfos and Stalchildren while Vaati stayed.

"(Y/N)?" Vaati started as I observed the map planning my next move. "There have been rumors going around."

"What rumors?" I spoke bluntly.

"Rumors that the Hero of Time is coming to Achlys Valley."

"And this is of great importance, because?" I said questioningly.

I looked at Vaati's face to see that he was a bit concerned, "Well, he was the one who defeated Gazon's father, Ganondorf. And he's kind of the one who defeated Twinrova, Skull Kid, and me."

I arched one of my eye brows, "Oh? Did he now? Tell me this, Vaati, did he have some help?"

"Well, he had the Princess and--"

I held up my left hand, "This time he won't have Zelda, and," I stood up to head towards the window, "Now that you have all come back much powerful than before thanks to the efforts of this demon sword and me and Ganzon, this 'Hero of Time' will be the 'Hero Who couldn't Save Time. Who is this guy anyway?"

I heard a shocked tone in Vaati's tone, "I would've assumed you knew this (Y/N). He was your trainee."

Trainee? What? I've had way too many of those to even remember one of their names. Who is Vaati evening talking about?

"Which one?" I said while trying to hide the irritation growing inside me.

"Link," Vaati spat probably because he hated that name.

"What the?" I spoke off guard, "Link? No way. Him? I mean, I know he's a good swordsman, but the Hero of Time? Are you serious?"

"I'm dead serious, (Y/N)."

Link. I totally forgot about that idiot. Never thought I'd have to see his face again.

"And who told you this, Vaati?" I asked as I turned to face him.

"One of my sources from the other side," he replied.

"Oh? Can I meet them?" I asked.

"I'll have to talk to them first, (Y/N)."

I nodded as an evil grin started to form on my face. My demonic fangs sticking out; Vaati looked kind of scared, but I couldn't blame him. These fangs were as sharp as swords could get. They could pierce anything, but they couldn't pierce my own skin. "Well then," I let out a little laugh,"the Hero of Time huh? Looks like things have gotten a bit more interesting."
