Author's P.O.V:-

"Kookie! Minnie!" Taehyung shouts in excitement.

"Tae?" Jimin mumbles in shock.

>>>Wait, but why is he calling us by those nicknames when the Taehyung in the novel doesn't know about it?

Jimin is in his thoughts when he gets attacked by a big bear hug.

Taehyung jumped on both of them and hugged them in excitement. Jimin looks startled but Duke Jungkook's face turns sour.

>>>Another weirdo?

Jimin sees the expression and breaks the hug pushing him away so that the Duke will at least not punish him and also to confirm one thing but before that,

"Do you have a death wish?" Duke Jungkook growls.

Taehyung gets scared hearing the dominant voice of the Duke and steps back a little, gulping down his saliva.

>>>So Kookie is also a character in the novel?

Taehyung's eyes get glossy. He was very cheerful when he decided to run away from his family but then that evil of a family tied him down and packed him to be sent as a concubine to a sixty-year-old pervert.

He escaped somehow with so much effort and ran for days without any food. And then he got lost in the woods. He was very scared thinking that before he could reach the Florence kingdom he would become a meal to the monsters residing in it.

But fortunately, no monster came near him. He didn't know the reason for it, maybe a bluff of being the main lead of the novel?

He is grateful that no monster approached him but he is starving for days and the most important problem is...he is bad at directions and gets easily distracted by a small butterfly or a firefly or some colorful flowers.

At the start, he was very excited that he is going on an adventure alone without any bodyguards to stop him from doing what he wants to do. And there is no one to restrict him.

But after not getting to eat anything for days, all his energy dropped and started thinking that it is a bad idea to wander in the forest and that if it goes on like this he will be dead for sure.

Then reality hit him like a truck and he started sobbing hard and that's when the Army commander Min Yoongi who was on his way to hunt the monsters heard the boy.

Taehyung seeing his Yoongi Hyung was so happy that he jumped on him but got rejected with a harsh push and received a death glare and was thrown into a prison-like room in the cold basement.

And Taehyung remembered that in the novel his Yoongi Hyung is the commander-in-chief and not his normal caring and kind cat like Hyung.

He was then interrogated like a criminal and was about to be tortured but he acted quickly and said some shit like he is the god's messenger and he knows how to subjugate monsters easily.

Then he told them how to kill the monsters using his knowledge of the novel as it had detailed information about how Damon killed each and every type of monster.

That's how he was able to convince them that he isn't an enemy but an ally who can help them. After that, he got pretty close with every knight, especially Hoseok.

Yoongi who flirts with every boy who is attractive to him somehow didn't have the heart to do so with Taehyung as the younger was always with his butler Hoseok for whom he has a soft heart. He felt like his father.

And after killing all the monsters they are returning to the kingdom and Taehyung thought he can meet with his Jin Hyung at last who will love him as in the novel.

But they had to stop their journey mid-way as they met the troops of the Duke and the Crown prince on the way and got to know that they are heading to war.

How can the commander-in-chief ignore it? So, Yoongi decided to join them in the war. Taehyung had no idea why they stopped and was talking with Hoseok who became so close to him just like his Hobie Hyung.

And that's when Duke Jungkook and Jimin entered their tent. Taehyung was beyond happy seeing them as there are no characters of Jungkook and Jimin in the novel so they must be like him... transmigrated, right?

That's what he thought but seeing the cold attitude of Duke Jungkook his happiness drowned in the sea.

Jimin looks at his friend who looked like he is about to cry really bad,  "You...Kim Taehyung?"

Taehyung looks up, "Yes...P-Park Jimin?"

Jimin's eyes lit up, "Taetae..."

Taehyung's lips curve upwards, "Minnie..."

Jimin starts singing their song,

"Seoul that used to be so unusually sparkling! Was another new world to me~"

Taehyung's eyes widen and he continues, "I met you when you were clammy with sweat, a somewhat strange kid~"

Jimin then, "Me from the moon~"

"You from the stars" Taehyung finishes.

And they both sing together, "Our conversations were like homework~"

"One day best friends~" Taehyung sings.

"Another day we're enemies~" Jimin continues.

"I just wanna understand~" Taehyung looks emotional.

Jimin smiles wide, "Hello, my alien. We are each other's mystery~"

Taehyung choruses, "Yeah...yeah~"

Jimin continues, "Is that why it's more special? Someday, when this cheers stops, stay, hey"

"Please, stay together by my side~" Taehyung tears up and walks closer.

"Forever stay here with me, hey~" Jimin also tears up.

"Like your little pinky," Taehyung grabs his friend's shoulders.

And they both hug each other singing together, "Longer than seven summers and cold winters~,"

"Longer than countless promises and memories~~" They hug and swing in each other's arms forgetting that Duke Jungkook is looking at them as if they are aliens.

Butler Hoseok didn't know what to do when they started singing he just stood by the Duke and was looking at them like a father bird seeing his little birds reunion.

"Taehyung-ahh, I missed you!" Jimin hugs him tight.

"Jimin-ah, I missed you too so much!" Taehyung hugs back tight.

Duke had enough of their weird song and behavior, he claps loud getting their attention, "I must say, that was a great performance. You both are qualified to be court musicians. I will recommend you both to his highness, the crown prince."

They both break the hug and Taehyung whispers in his friend's ear, "Jiminie, he is not our Kookie. Who is he?"

"He is the battle king, the grand duke of Florence kingdom, and Damon's father and the villain of this novel," Jimin whispers back.

"WHAT????" Taehyung screams.

Hoseok gets scared hearing it, he jumps back clutching his heart and the Duke glares at him.

"Yah, stop screaming," Jimin closes his mouth.

Taehyung takes his hands away and whisper asks, "You mean, the villain who died unfairly?"

Jimin nods, "How can he look like Jungkook? Dammit, that means our Kookie is the villain who is going to die? I am not gonna let that happen!" Taehyung whisper shouts.

Duke Jungkook sighs seeing them murmuring among each other.

>>>One weirdo was enough, how come Commander Yoongi brought another with him?

He looks at butler Hoseok who is looking totally confused, "Hoseok-shi," he signs.

Hoseok being a good butler understands the Duke's sign. He immediately walks to the weirdos, ahem! To them, "God's messenger, do you know each other?"

Taehyung is still not used to him being called god's messenger, "Hoseok Hyungie, I told you not to call me that when we are alone," he whines.

"You guys are not alone," they hear Duke's stern voice and get startled.

"And Jimin, I didn't know you were close with this specimen who came from the Vespian kingdom. It makes me think that you have the motive to approach my son and me...are you perhaps a spy?"

Duke Jungkook advances towards Jimin and asks grabbing his chin tight.

"N-No...your h-highness," Jimin manages to say. He trembles in fear thinking that the Duke is suspecting him.

Cause the villain is known for his ruthlessness towards the spies and if he is suspecting him that...there is no way they would see the morning sun tomorrow if he didn't prove himself innocent.

"Yah, let go of Minnie," Taehyung grabs the Duke's hand, who gives a death glare to him.

Hoseok understood that the Duke will kill Taehyung if he didn't interfere so he immediately pulls Taehyung away from the Duke and makes him stand behind him.

"Your highness, Duke Jungkook. He is indeed the god's messenger as commander Yoongi personally interrogated him and concluded that he isn't a spy. And I am sorry on his behalf 'cause he doesn't know the etiquettes here and I am to blame as I didn't teach him well even after the commander ordered me to do so."

Hoseok bows, he is nervous as hell but maintains a calm face as he is a pro butler.

"So it's your fault, then are you ready to take the punishment instead of him?" Duke Jungkook asks leaving Jimin's jaw.

"Yes, your highness," Hoseok replies.

"No, Hyungie, why?" Taehyung is about to object but Hoseok stops him.

"Your highness, it's my fault too. I didn't clarify myself. We are both friends before our parents abandoned us and we got separated in childhood. I don't know where he is after that as I lived in the orphanage in Levia county. I recognized him just now and got emotional seeing him after a long time, I am sorry."

Jimin also bows after cooking up a white lie to get them out of trouble.

Duke Jungkook frowns upon hearing that but he remembers the documents he read brought by Lee Soo-Hyuk about Jimin.

As Jimin said just now he is indeed abandoned by his parents along with some other kids during the wartime. And then Jimin is sent to the orphanage in Levia County.

>>>So they must have been together until they got separated. It's possible cause both have weird accents and weird hobbies to hug as soon as they meet.

Duke Jungkook looks convinced, "Alright, raise. I would like to hear the whole story later from your mouth. And you," he points at Taehyung.

"Get into some presentable clothes and come out, you have to greet the crown prince and explain yourself. Only he will decide your life and what do with you, 'cause we don't believe in a Vespian when we are in the middle of the war with them."

Taehyung nods, gulping his saliva.

"Your highness," Jimin calls as Duke Jungkook is leaving the tent.

"Hm?" He turns.

"C-can I have your permission to talk with him for a bit? It won't be long, please..."Jimin requests.

Duke Jungkook thinks for a moment and nods, "Ten minutes," and he leaves.

Jimin sighs and looks at his friend.

"Sorry, Hoseok Hyung. I got you into trouble there," Taehyung immediately apologizes, side-hugging him.

"I told you many times to be careful and be mindful cause not everyone is a commoner like me. They are nobles and have very high status, it just takes them a single word and we will be killed mercilessly. How can you go and hug the grand duke like that and hold him? He is the cruelest one out of all the nobles in the nation."

Hoseok starts nagging as he was so worried about the younger.

"I am sorry, Hyung. I won't do it again. It's all fine now," Taehyung hugs him.

Hoseok tears up and hugs the younger cause he was so worried and anxious that the Duke might kill Taehyung for his rude behavior as he thought of him as his younger brother and got bonded with him easily.

Jimin smiles seeing them together,

>>>Hoseok Hyung is pure in the real world and even in the novel.

>>>But Yoongi Hyung is a player in the novel and makes Hoseok Hyung cry all the time.

>>>I won't let that happen. I won't let Yoongi Hyung hurt him.

After comforting Hoseok, Taehyung asked him to wait a bit outside as he wants to talk with his friend and Hoseok goes out not minding it.

"Tae, how did you get into the novel?" Jimin asks straight away as he is curious to know what made them transmigrate into the novel.

"I don't know. You were sleeping on the couch holding your phone. I came to wake you up and saw your phone. I read the novel as it is about me and Jin Hyung," Taehyung scratches his nape in embarrassment.

Jimin gives him a knowing smile as he knows that his friend had been in one-sided love with Jin Hyung for a long time now.

"And then I got furious at the end when the villain and Damon died, so I commented to the author that it's unfair and the next second I opened my eyes I am surrounded by the stepmother, Olivia whales, and her kids, Henry and Emily," Taehyung explains.

"Oh, that vicious family who tortured your character in the novel," Jimin remembers.

"Yes, and you know after that..." Taehyung starts explaining what happened to him until he met him in this tent.

"So, that's what happened. I think commenting the author about the villain's tragic ending is the trigger to transmigration," Jimin assumes.

"Maybe, but the question is how can we get out of here?" Taehyung asks.

"I have no idea. I tried to sleep in the bed when I first opened my eyes in the novel but it didn't work. And I don't know anyone with whom I can share my worries. I just thought I will try to change the fate of the villain and Damon and then maybe I can go back..." Jimin sighs.

"I can understand. I experienced the same after coming here. Do you know Yoongi Hyung almost killed me if I didn't act fast and said them how to kill the monsters I would have been a gone case," Taehyung pouts and plops on the bed.

"He is not our Yoongi Hyung. He is that flirty player Commander Yoongi who tortures our Hobie Hyung," Jimin looks sad and plops beside his friend.

"Aish, I don't want to see Hobie Hyung hurt. If not for him I would have felt so lonely after coming here," Taehyung leans his head on his friend's shoulder.

"I too don't want that, Tae," Jimin pats his head.

"Wait, but how come you are here? And there is no character of you in the novel," Taehyung questions.

"Same as you. I was going through Twitter waiting for Kookie and then I saw this thread saying Namjin sank. So I went there and saw the link to this novel, clicked it, read it, complained about the villain, and Bam! I am here," Jimin explains.

"Did NamJin's ship really sink?" Taehyung asks.

"Is that even important now, Tae?" Jimin smacks him.

"Ouch, cause you know..." Taehyung pouts more and Jimin understands.

Even though Taehyung had this one-sided love for Jin but the elder loved Namjoon. And they both were a couple.

Taehyung then hid his feelings after knowing about their relationship.

"I know you love Jin Hyung but I didn't take it seriously cause you first crushed on Hoseok Hyung and then on Yoongi Hyung. How can I believe you after that?" Jimin asks.

"I don't know, Minnie. After the kiss in rookie king, I was attracted to Hoseok Hyung. I followed him like a puppy wanting to hear praises from him but he was so dense. So, I didn't want to embarrass myself and moved on. Then there is Yoongi Hyung who always took care of us, I tried to be with him but he loves Hoseok Hyung and I..."

Jimin pats his friend's back feeling his heartbreak.

"I successfully moved on from them. Then after the fight with Jin Hyung, we got pretty close, and I started depending on him more. I was so happy thinking that maybe finally I have my first love but-" Taehyung chokes on tears.

"But Jin Hyung loves Namjoon Hyung and they were a couple from the start and you had no chance, to begin with," Jimin completes.

"Y-Yes...and I know you and Kookie had something going on between you guys. I felt lonely in the group even though you guys never treated me badly. It's just...I-I *hic*"

"Shh, I understand, Tae. You just wanted to be special to someone," Jimin hugs him.

"That's why I got so irritated with you at some point and even fought with you just for simple reasons like that dumpling incident. I know I was being petty but I couldn't help it," Taehyung confesses.

"Tae, I am sorry. I didn't know you were going through all that alone. I just thought you aren't serious about your feelings. But I didn't see how broken you felt," Jimin comforts.

"It's not your fault, Minnie. So, when I read the thread Namjin sank, maybe I thought Hyungs had some fight and maybe I had a chance and after reading the novel, I want Jin Hyung to be that crazy about me, I was even envious of my character in the novel," Taehyung cries.

"Tae..." Jimin breaks the hug and looks at his friend with pity.

"So when I get into this novel, I wanted to meet Jin Hyung and feel the love I have always dreamt of," Taehyung says.

Jimin smiles bitterly and wipes his friend's tears, "I will help you with it, Tae."

"Really?" Taehyung asks with sparkles in his eyes.

"Yes, we don't know when and how we can go back. And I am already determined to change the villains ending after knowing that he is our Kookie. I absolutely can't see Jungkookie dying in front of me."

"Yes, I can't see it too, Minnie," Taehyung agrees.

"And even though Jin Hyung won't love you in the real world, this is a novel and here Jin Hyung is destined to fall in love with you madly. So what's wrong with experiencing it while we are here? So I will help you get together with Jin Hyung and we will together not let Jungkook and Damon die, what say?" Jimin asks.

"Yes, Minnie. I am with you and thank you for understanding me," Taehyung with happy tears hugs his friend, and Jimin hugs back.

Duke Jungkook and Damon who came for Taehyung and Jimin saw them hugging each other ball their fists in anger. They look at each other and the hugging pair with a dead glare.
