Theodosia #2 is summoned
(time skip cause filler chapters are useless and boring to write)
(Angie P.O.V)
Theo has woken me up frantically in the middle of the night saying the baby was coming. I'd carried her to the car and probably broken lots of laws to get my girlfriend to the hospital. Which I successfully did by the way.
So now I'm in the waiting room, rereading the paragraph in my school book for the seventy fifth time. I've been counting. I'd stayed in the waiting all night, and now I was tired but there was no way I was leaving or going to sleep.
Alex burst through the door, hair untied, bags under his eyes, and two cups of coffee in his hands. He sat down next to me and handed me one of the coffee cups. I drank it absentmindedly and fiddled with the pages of my book.
"She'll be fine Angie, don't worry." He put an arm around my shoulders and I looked at him.
"How do you know?"
"I don't." He sipped his coffee. "But I'm doing my best to stay positive."
I looked at him, and he stared back at me, a small smile on his face. Then his eyes flashed with realization and he pulled something out of his pocket and swallowed it quickly, taking a quick gulp of coffee afterwards.
"I just shoved them in my pocket when you called." He shrugged. "Had no time to take 'em. But now I can be even more positive!"
Oh right. I nodded and looked back at my book. It would have been interesting if my girlfriend hadn't been in the hospital giving birth.
"That looks boring." Alex commented, leaning over my shoulder.
"I think all of your law books look boring but do I comment? No." I retorted, slightly on edge.
"Wow ok." He shrugged and pulled out a notebook and a pen.
I paid half attention to him as he scribbled on the lined paper, and half attention to my own book. Neither were very captivating right now. Then a doctor walked into the waiting room.
"Is there a Miss Angelica Schuyler here?" He called out and I bolted up.
"Yes?"
"Are you here for Miss Theodosia Bartow Prevost?"
"Yes. Is she ok?" I rushed over, worried.
"Miss Prevost is ok, the delivery went smoothly." He said kindly, "Would you like to see her?"
"Yes!" I yelped. "I... umm... yes please."
The doctor nodded and pointed towards the elevator, informing me she was on the third floor.
"Alex? You wanna come?" I asked him and he looked up.
"No, I'll come back later, Theo probably wants to see you." He smiled and stood up, grabbing the empty coffee cups and leaving with a wave.
I waved to him and got in the elevator, tugging my fingers through my hair worriedly. The machine dinged once it got to the third floor and I stepped out hesitantly. There was a nurse walking down the hallway and he looked at me, probably noticing I looked a bit lost.
"Who are you here to see dear?" He asked kindly.
"Theodosia Bartow Prevost, please."
"Down the hall, turn left, first door on the right."
I thanked the nurse and headed off to where he'd instructed, knocking on the door lightly. A doctor opened it and smiled, leading me inside. And then I saw her. My Theo was lying on the bed wearing a hospital gown, and holding a new-born baby to her chest. My heart stopped functioning properly so I just stared. I'm a mom!
(Time skip because why not?)
(Alex P.O.V)
Theo gets to come back from the hospital today, as I have been told by a extremely exited Angelica. It's kinda crazy how happy she sounded. Which makes sense I guess, her girlfriend and daughter were going to leave the hospital. They'd named the baby Theodosia Jr. mainly because Eliza had suggested it and Angie thought it was cute. I agree, from what I'd seen, the kid really looked like a 'Theo'.
Apparently I've been chosen for an uncle role..? I guess I'm ok with that, as long as mini-Theo doesn't get on my nerves. Which might be hard for her. I don't particularly care for small kids. Or kids in general. Anyways.
I heard knocking and went to open the door. Angie was standing there, looking exhilarated. I grabbed my shoes, guessing what she wanted.
"Oh my god she's so cute I cannot believe the amount of love one human can make another feel." Angie ranted.
"Angie, which Theo, the new one or the original taste?" I asked, halting her. "Cause you've said this about both of them at this point."
"Both?"
"Jesus Christ, Angelica get your life together and introduce me to your child already."
"Ok ok." She grabbed my wrist and hurried me along, fumbling with her keys once we got to her dorm. She pushed the door open and smiled the widest smile I have ever seen anyone smile.
I looked around the room until I spotted the two Theos sitting on the couch. Theodosia #1 looked happy and tired and Theodosia #2 looked jubilant. The baby saw me and her smile widened, if that's even possible.
"Hey Theo and Mini-Theo, how are you?" I asked, walking over after taking my shoes of.
"I'm good, but Theo is way to awake for a new-born." The Theo this could talk informed me.
"Can't help you there, never has to deal with a baby before." I shrugged.
Little Theo just sat in her mom's lap, smiling like crazy. Do babies even smile normally? I'm not sure. Angie took the child gently and handed it to me. Ahh what do I do?! Little Theo was placed in my lap and I just stared at her, not sure what I should do with the child in my lap.
"Uhh... can you take her back? I think you'd be upset if I dropped your kid." I pointed to little Theo who looked up at me with big round eyes.
"Nope!" Big Theo smiles. "You're holding her for now."
I glared at her and turned my attention back to mini-Theo. She looked ok for now, so I assumed I didn't have to do anything.
"You need to come up with a nickname that differentiates her." I commented. "How about Thea? I dunno, but it's gonna get annoying to call her mini-Theo or Theodosia #2."
Angie laughed. "Thea works for now."
"Good." I smiled back at her and pulled out my notebook and a pen.
"Hey! No not right now!" Angie snatched the notebook from my hands and I yelped.
"Angie!" I complained. "I can't stand up because if your child falls and it's my fault I'm pretty much dead but please give it back."
"Angie give it back to him." Theo said through her laughs.
Angelica grumbled but handed me my notebook, which I shoved in a pocket. Theo took little Theo— Thea— back and smiled at the small human in her arms. Angie wrapped her arms around her girlfriend and I grinned, watching this perfect family he happy.
The only default of this setting is that there's always a problem hiding around the corner.

a / n: how much would y'all mind if one of the characters died suddenly (or maybe not so suddenly)?
Just a hypothetical question.
But please answer.
I may or may not take them into consideration. It's only hypothetical that this will happen in my story.
Continue with our life now.
Goodbye.
