NEW YORK
Kainaat sat across from Shubman, her eyes pleading as she tried to convince him of her idea.
Kainaat- "Shubman, I know you hate trips or fun" she said the last two words lowly
"and you have cricket commitments, but please hear me out. I want us to go to New York together."
Shubman looked at her skeptically, shaking his head.
Shubman- "love, you know how I feel about trips. And with cricket season in full swing, I can't just take off like that."
But Kainaat wasn't about to give up so easily.
Kainaat- "I know, Shubman, but just think about it. We could have some time away from the constant spotlight, away from the paparazzi and drama.
Just you and me, exploring a new city, making memories together."
Shubman sighed, torn between his dedication to cricket and his desire to spend time with Kainaat.
Shubman- "I don't know, love. It's a big ask, especially with my schedule."
Kainaat-"But it's not just about us, It's about taking a break, clearing our minds, and coming back refreshed and rejuvenated."
She said imagining herself out of the hustle bustle of paparazzi drama and just enjoying in the central park of new york.
Kainaat continued- "Plus, I promise we'll find a way to work around your cricket commitments."
Shubman studied her for a moment, seeing the sincerity in her eyes.
He knew how much this meant to her, and despite his reservations, he found himself warming to the idea.
Shubman- "Okay, Let's do it. Let's go to New York."
Kainaat's face lit up with joy, and she couldn't resist wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug.
Kainaat- "Thank you, Shubman! You are the best and you won't regret it, I promise."
He chuckled and kissed the top of her head.
Shubman- anything for you, love.
******************
As the plane soared through the sky towards New York City, Kainaat's excitement bubbled over. She couldn't contain her joy as she gazed out the window, watching the world pass by below them.
Kainaat-"Shubman, can you believe we're actually doing this?"
she exclaimed, turning to him with a wide grin.
Shubman couldn't help but smile at her infectious enthusiasm.
Shubman- "I know, love. It still feels surreal, but I'm glad we're doing it."
As they settled into their seats, Kainaat couldn't stop chattering about all the things she wanted to do and see in New York.
From exploring Central Park to visiting the iconic landmarks like the Statue of Liberty and Times Square, she had a whole itinerary planned out.
Shubman listened with amusement, enjoying the sparkle in her eyes and the excitement in her voice.
He had to admit, he was looking forward to experiencing the city through her eyes, away from the pressures of their usual lives.
As the plane touched down at JFK Airport and they stepped out into the bustling streets of New York, Kainaat's happiness knew no bounds.
She felt alive and free, ready to soak in every moment of their adventure together.
Kainaat-"Let's make the most of this trip, Shubman,"
she said, squeezing his hand as they hailed a cab
Kainaat- "I want to create memories that we'll cherish forever."
Shubman smiled, feeling grateful to have Kainaat by his side.
Shubman-"Absolutely, love. Let's make this trip one to remember."
And with that, they set off into the vibrant streets of New York City, ready to explore and discover all that the city had to offer, hand in hand.
As they arrived at Kainaat's old apartment building, a rush of nostalgia swept over her.
This place held so many memories for her – late-night study sessions, pizza parties with friends, and quiet moments of reflection.
As they stepped into her apartment, Kainaat couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness at how empty and quiet it seemed compared to the bustling city outside.
But as she turned to Shubman, she saw the curiosity and interest in his eyes, and her heart swelled with affection.
Kainaat- "Welcome to my humble abode,"
she said with a playful smile, gesturing around the cozy living room.
Kainaat- "It's not much, but it was home for me during my time at university here."
Shubman looked around, taking in the simple furnishings and personal touches that adorned the space.
Shubman- "It's perfect,"
he said sincerely, reaching out to gently squeeze her hand. "I can see why you loved it here."
As they explored the apartment together, Kainaat shared stories from her time at university – the late-night cram sessions before exams, the impromptu dance parties with her friends, and the quiet moments of solitude when she needed to clear her head.
With each anecdote, Shubman felt like he was getting to know Kainaat on a deeper level, understanding the experiences that had shaped her into the person she was today.
And as they settled onto the couch, surrounded by the echoes of Kainaat's past, he couldn't help but feel grateful to be a part of her present and hopefully her future too.
