love you too?
As their kiss broke, both Shubman and Kainaat stood there, breathless and wide-eyed, the intensity of the moment lingering between them. Kainaat took a step back, her fingers still lightly touching her lips, as if trying to process everything that had just happened.
"So, you love me, huh?" she said, her tone lightening.
Shubman nodded, a bit hesitant. "Yeah, I do".
Kainaat took a step closer, her smile turning playful. "Well, that's good to know."
Shubman furrowed his brows, a mix of relief and confusion washing over him. "Good to know? Is that all you have to say?"
Kainaat shrugged nonchalantly , her smile widening. "Yep. Good to know."
Shubman stared at her, exasperation and amusement mingling in his expression. "Kainaat, come on. Don't leave me hanging here."
She tilted her head, pretending to ponder. "Hmm, I mean, you already said it. What more do you want from me?"
Shubman sighed, pulling her closer. "I want to hear it from you, love. The three words. Please."
He watched her cheeks flush with a rosy hue. The endearment sent shivers down kainaat's spine, her heart fluttering at the intimacy of his words.
Unable to meet his gaze, she lowered her eyes bashfully, the sensation of his touch sending waves of warmth coursing through her veins. But before she could gather her thoughts, Shubman gently lifted her chin.
As kainaat looked in his eyes, she bit her lip, trying to suppress her laughter. She could see the desperation in his eyes, and it made her heart flutter.
Kainaat leaned in, her lips just a breath away from his ear. "Well, you might have to wait a bit longer to hear them," she whispered, pulling back with a teasing smile.
Shubman groaned, his frustration mixed with laughter. "Love, you're killing me here."
She laughed, the sound music to his ears. "Maybe. But you know what they say, good things come to those who wait."
Shubman shook his head, a chuckle escaping his lips. "You're impossible, you know that?"
Kainaat smiled up at Shubman, her eyes twinkling with a mix of playfulness and affection. She could see the eagerness in his eyes, the way he was hanging on her every word.
"Alright, Shubman," she began, her voice soft. "I'll say it. But you have to promise not to interrupt me."
Shubman nodded, his heart pounding in his chest. "I promise."
Kainaat took a deep breath, her smile turning tender. "I..."
Shubman leaned in closer, his anticipation palpable.
"...love..."
He held his breath, his entire world narrowing down to this moment.
"...you."
As soon as the words left her lips, Shubman couldn't contain himself. He pulled her into his arms, capturing her lips in a passionate kiss.
It was a kiss that spoke of all the emotions they had kept hidden, a kiss that sealed the love they had finally confessed.
Kainaat melted into the kiss, her arms wrapping around his neck. It felt like everything had fallen into place, like they had found something they didn't even realize they were searching for.
When they finally pulled apart, both of them were breathless. Shubman rested his forehead against hers, his eyes closed in bliss.
"Say it again," he whispered, a smile playing on his lips.
Kainaat laughed softly, her heart overflowing with joy. "I love you, Shubman."
He opened his eyes, looking at her with a mixture of love and awe. "I love you too, love. More than you'll ever know."
As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, they knew that this was just the beginning of something beautiful. They had finally found each other, and nothing else mattered.
