Chapter 35

Epilogue : 1 year later.

                       (Cecilia's POV)

This was it... The day I would marry Morgan, Captain of the Sirius, and Pirate King. It's a daunting thought, attaching yourself to someone...spending the rest of your life with someone. It's nerve wracking, and exciting at the same time.

We were currently docked off the shores of Bora Bora, a tropical beach with beautiful white sand, and the clearest waters I had ever seen. Most of the boys are on the island setting up, which left me, the girls, and I think Nate is still in the kitchen, left on the ship.

I leave my room and head towards the kitchen, where all the girls are gathered, if all the voices I can hear are any indication. Just breathe.. I remind myself once again, as I watch everyone from the doorway to the kitchen. Was I ready for this? Were we rushing this? Maybe it should've been a longer engagement..

"Ya put anymore flowers on it, an it'll be too girly." Nathan says, going over to the wedding cake, bringing me from my own thoughts.

"Nate there's barely any on there. It's a wedding cake for shits sake it's supposed to be girly." Luna replies, rolling her eyes, as she skillfully adds another frosting rose with her pipping bag.

"Right... But-" Nathan starts, but is cut off by Arabella.

"Nathan, leave her alone, it's fine.. It's a wedding cake it's supposed to be girly." Arabella cuts Nathan off, as she takes another pan out of the oven, and I stifle a laugh, as I walk in farther.

"What'll Captain think though? With the flowers and swirls..." Nathan trails off, sighing.

"It's not about Captain. As long as Cece loves it. Besides Morgan will be fine as long as Cecilia likes it." Penelope cuts in, as she examines the cake in question.

"So only the woman's opinion counts?" Nathan asks, quirking an eyebrow as he glances at the girls.

"Yes it does." Arabella says, narrowing her eyes at the chef. "Ah hell. Just... Someone smack this idiot before I do.." She adds, laughing.

Luna swipes an extra rubber spatula, and with a loud THWACK, smacks Nathan on the back of his head with it, snickering.

"What the hell Luna?!" He yells, glaring at her.

"She said I could." Luna replies shrugging, before going back to decorating the cake.

"Dammit Arabella, stop sayin that kinda shit, especially since they actually do it..."he trails off glancing at his wife, who merely laughs, shaking her head.

"Hell no. It's hilarious." She answers, still laughing. "Anyway watcha think Cecilia?" She asks, gesturing to the cake.

I look at the cake, walking over to the counter to get a closer look. It was simple, four tiers, with white frosting. It had white frosting roses, and one tier had swirls, that reminded me of the slight design towards the bottom of my dress. "It's beautiful..." I murmur, smiling at Luna, who was still adding a few more flowers to the top.

"See Nate? Nagging everyone for nothin'." Kris says, shooting Nathan a triumphant look, that basically said 'I told you so.'

"You ready for your big day?" Allison asks, her silvery grey eyes meeting my blue ones.

"Yes...well... A little nervous actually.." I admit, running a hand back through my hair.

"I think that's normal..perfectly understandable." Penelope says, giving me a gentle smile.

"Do you.... Do you guys think maybe I'm rushing this?" I ask, and all the girls freeze at my words, as I look at all of them.

It was Kris that spoke first this time, meeting my gaze. "Do you love him?" She asks simply, and I nod.

"Yes. Of course I do." I answer, wondering exactly where she was going with this, though I think I have a pretty good idea...

"Okay, next question, can you picture your life without him?" Kris asks, still looking at me.

I think about it for a minute, about what my life would be if I left him, and the crew. My heart sinks at the thought, my chest tightening the more I think about it, and I know my answer. "No. A life without him in it would be...." I trail off, at a loss of words how much that would hurt.

Kris nods, giving me a knowing look. "Then there's you're answer." She says simply, and I can't help smiling at her. She's right. I was still nervous, who wouldn't be? But I loved him.

"As long as you love him, and can't picture your life without him in it, that's all that matters." Arabella chimes in next, smiling at me softly.

"The amount of time doesn't matter when it comes to how you feel." Penelope quietly adds, as she stands up, heading over. "I think it's time we start getting you ready." She adds, and all the girls drag me off my room, to get ready.

They sit me down on the bed, and get started. "I'll do your hair." Luna offers, as I feel her hands run through my hair. It's almost soothing, when someone else does your hair.. Their fingers running through it feels nice.

"I'll take care of make up." Penelope chimes in, producing a small bag, as she starts to carefully do my make up, her and Luna careful not to interfere with the other's work.

"Okay, your dress, shoes, flowers, veil, and our dresses... I think that's everything..." Kris trails off, interrupted by a knock on the door.

Kris opens the door slightly, then quickly tries to shut it, as Morgan tries to peek in. "What the fuck Morgan?" Kris exclaims, as she tries to shove Morgan out the door.

"Morgan get out!" I yell, as I duck behind Arabella, who quickly moves in front of me, blocking me from view, along with Penelope, and Luna.

"Oh come now, I just wanted to see how-" Morgan starts, as Kris and Allison continue to try and shove him out of the room.

"GET OUT!!!" All the girls yell, almost in sync, as Luna runs over to the shelf, snatching a bottle of liquor before running towards Morgan.

"Just go! Here I'll give you booze if you just leave now!" She yells, shoving the bottle into Morgan's hands, as Kris, Allison, and now Luna lead him to the door.

"I quit but-" Morgan protest, as they shove him out of the room.

"Morgan you can have it if you get out and don't bother us again while we finish getting ready!" I exclaim, just wanting him to go. I didn't want him to see me just yet.

"Alright, alright I'm going!" He chuckles wryly, as he leaves the room. "I'm sure you'll be the most beautiful bride Cecilia." He calls out, as Kris shuts the door in his face.

I feel my face heat up at his words, as the girls go back to what they were doing. "Almost done." Penelope murmurs, as she concentrates on putting a light shade of lipstick across my lips.

"Alright. Hair is ready." Luna adds, smiling at me, as she takes a few steps back to look at me.

"Okay. Make up is done too." Penelope adds, satisfied as she steps back as well.

"Well, come see, before we put your dress on." Kris smiles, gesturing for me to take a look in the mirror they brought in.

I walk over, and look, thrilled by what I see. My blonde hair fell in curls down to my shoulders, a light curl on top that set off the more pronounced curls on the bottom. It was swept out of my face, framing it in a way. The make up was light, but done so that the attention was drawn to my lips, and eyes, making my blue eyes pop, and lips look fuller.

"Thanks girls, it's great!" I exclaim happily, pulling Penelope and Luna into a hug.

"Alright, let's get your dress on." Kris smiles, bringing it over. I had picked something simple yet pretty, a white halter top style dress, that fit on top, and flowed from the waist down. The skirt flowed out, but wasn't overly puffy or form hugging, it was somewhere in the middle. The train wasn't long, and the dress itself has embroidery, with a beautiful swirled design, that had small jewels embedded in it. The design was on the top of the dress, wrapping around the dress, and up the strap, stopping in a vee just below my chest. The bottom swirls flowed upward, almost as if they were reaching towards the top, but stopping at different intervals.

I stepped into my dress, careful not to mess up my hair or make up, and then Allison helps me get my heels on next. They had a design around the front, that was similar to the dress. The heels were white, and opened toed, about a three inch heel.

The girls started to get dressed as well, after making sure I was okay and ready to go.

Luna wore an off the shoulder, sleeveless dress, that was black, with a red ribbon belt that separated the top of the dress from the pleated skirt, that grazed her knees. It complimented her sun kissed skin and dark hair well.

Kris wore a long dark green dress, which had two straps, and was a Vee cut. It was fitted on top, and the skirt fell to her feet in waves, some of it already swirling even though she hadn't moved much. The green was a beautiful contrast  to her sun kissed skin, and made her brown hair and hazel eyes pop.

Arabella wore a strapless red dress, tight fitting in the top, a loose pleated skirt that grazed her knees. Making her sun kissed skin look darker, and her brown hair stand out in contrast.

Penelope wore a white top, that formed an X pattern on the front, showing off her sun kissed skin. The skirt was striped, and the skirt reached mid thigh, showing off her long legs. Her heels were bright red, a lighter shade of red then the red that painted her lips. Her emerald eyes popped with the addition of eye make up. Her brown hair fell in loose curls down her back, the blonde highlights visible when the light hit it.

Allison wore a white lacy top, that reached her wrists, with matching open toed high heels. Her skirt was a plum, pleated, with a small bow on the front, the skirt grazing her knees. Her lavender hair fell in loose curls, with a section braided off, the braid wrapping around the back of her head. Her lips were painted a dark plum, that matched her nails. Her eye make up made her silvery grey eyes pop, the blue specks even more visible with the added make up, and the outfit as a whole was a beautiful complement to her sun kissed skin.

After they finish, they help me with the finishing touches. "You look beautiful Cecilia." Allison says beaming, as she puts my veil on.

"Morgan's not gonna know what hit him." Kris smirks, as she hands me my flowers.

"You look lovely. Morgan's going to love it." Luna chimes in, smiling at me as well.

"Thank you all for your help, and encouraging words. I'm still a little nervous, to be honest, but I know that I love him. I'm so glad we all found each other..." I trail off, as I start to feel water come to my eyes. It was finally setting in, after everything I had been through, after all the obstacles I had overcome in my life, I finally felt like I was home.

I had found my family, among the girls, and the crew. I was getting married, to a man I loved. When at one point in my life, I had thought I would never trust a man again, here I was, getting married. I was finally where I belonged, with people that I loved, and loved me in return.

"Don't cry Cece. Please." Penelope says, as she comes over to hug me.

"I'm sorry. They're happy tears I promise." I reply laughing, and the rest of the girls swarm me in a group hug, all trying to be careful not to touch my hair, or step on my dress.

"I love you all." I say, trying not to cry anymore.

"We love you too Cecilia." Arabella chimes in, and all the girls nod  in agreement at her words.

"We really do Cece. Alright here let me touch up your make up real quick." Penelope says, bringing out her make up bag once more.

"Oh Luna? Would you go grab Chris for me please? I want to ask him to walk me down the aisle." I ask, looking to the dark haired girl.

"Sure thing. I know he would be happy to." Luna says, before heading towards the door.

"Oi and make sure Captains not wasted too!" Kris calls out smirking, and Luna shakes her head laughing, before leaving the room.

"He better not be wasted.." Penelope growls, as she finishes touching up my make up.

"I doubt he is.." I say smiling. I had faith Morgan wouldn't be drunk. Well...

"I would hope the Captain wouldn't be drunk before his wedding has even started." Allison snorts.

"That bish better not be." I sigh, though I'm pretty sure he's not.

"I'll kick his ass if he is. I'm sure he knows better, considering you'd kick his ass as well Cece." Kris adds, laughing.

Were interrupted by a knock on the door, and Luna comes in, with Christopher in tow. "You all look lovely ladies. You make a beautiful bride Cecilia." Chris says, his usual kind smile on his face.

"I'm surprised Arabella put on a dress without a fight." Luna snorts, smirking at Arabella.

"Hey. I can on occasion. Besides this dress has pockets!! That's usually my main complaint about dresses! " she exclaims, blushing slightly at Luna's words, prompting laughs from everyone.

"Christopher, seeing as I don't have any family, except you all, would you please walk me down the aisle?" I ask, looking at the gentle doctor.

He smiles, a kind, soft smile that reaches his eyes, before answering. "It would be an honor to walk you down the aisle Cecilia." He answers simply, and I can't help but return his smile.

Not long after, we all gather on the white sandy beach, for the wedding. The boys did a good job setting up, and even thought to lay something down on the sand, so it wouldn't get in our shoes or clothes. The sun was slowly starting to set, the beautiful red and orange reflecting off the crystal clear water, as Chris took my arm at the end of the aisle.

"You ready?" Chris asks, glancing over at me, as the girls all take their places up front, waiting for me.

"As I'll ever be." I answer smiling, as I take a deep breath.

Chris laughs slightly, as we start the walk to Morgan. "He's a lucky man Cecilia, and he knows that. He also loves you deeply. We've never seen Morgan like this before. You've changed him, and we can all see how much he loves you." He says, and I feel my face heat up at his words.

About halfway down I meet Morgan's love filled gaze and my heart nearly stops. He looks so different, with a suit, all traces of pirate gone. He's handsome, and the way he's looking at me is more serious, different from his normal carefree and joking demeanor.

Chris passes me over to Morgan, placing a light kiss on my cheek before doing so, and going to stand with the others. My nerves disappear as my eyes meet Morgan's, his storm grey eyes look gentle, yet full of love.

We exchange rings and the traditional vows, ending in a heat filled kiss, that prompts cheers and whistles from the crew. "I love you Cecilia. Forever." Morgan whispers in my ear, after our kiss, before pulling away.

"I love you too Morgan." I answer quietly, as we all go over to start celebrating.

We gather on the beach, with food, drinks and music, everyone as lively as when we normally have parties on the ship.

Morgan pulls me into a dance, and we dance slowly together, observing our friends here and there. The Rika crew even joined us today, and for once it seemed like Captain Alan was behaving himself, dancing with Fuzzy, the blonde from his crew.

I see Thomas and Allison dancing together, Thomas's face bright red as he shyly dances with the lavender haired girl.

Much to my surprise, I see Eduardo lead Penelope to dance, when normally she was the one who had to persuade him to dance.

"That's the first time I've seen Eduardo initiate a dance." I voice my thoughts out loud, and Morgan chuckles slightly at my words, and I can feel his breath brush past my ear.

"He's getting better. She's softening him, though he'd never admit it." Morgan adds, still laughing.

We see Russell happily dancing with Kris, the two seemingly lost in their own world. "They look happy. Russell especially since Nero isn't hanging around anymore." I say quietly, glancing over at the couple.

"That he is. It was good for him though. He finally went for what he wants, and I think it did him some good in some ways." Morgan replies, and I nod. Russell in the end had to fight for her, finally settling things between him and Nero.

We also see Luna and Chris chatting happily, eating cake. I laugh slightly at the sight of Chris stealing a kiss, licking some frosting off of Luna's lips, as she blushes slightly at his actions.

Morgan starts chuckling and shaking his head, and I look over to see Arabella laughing as she smears frosting on Nate's face playfully, and he tries to return the favor. "Quite a group aren't they? Our crew." Morgan asks, still laughing.

"Yea." I agree, as we look at all of them... Wait... "Our?" I ask, and he grins at me, nodding.

"You're my wife. What's mine is yours. It's just as much your crew as it is mine now. So our crew." He explains, and I feel my eyes widen in surprise. "Don't be so surprised." He adds, chuckling as he looks at me.

"I hadn't thought of that honestly." I say, still slightly shocked.

"Well, now you're the pirate queen, as well as my co captain." He answers grinning, and I can't help smiling in return.

We dance a few more times, as night time approaches, and the crew approaches us, as well as the Rika crew as well.

"Cecilia, and Captain." Luna steps forward, drawing our attention to the crew. "We wanted to do something for you, so here." She says, handing Morgan an envelope. Inside we find two tickets and room keys, for a resort on the island.

"This way, you get a few days to yourselves... A honeymoon of sorts..." Penelope adds, explaining the contents of the envelope.

"It's supposed to be known for the honeymoon suite. So have fun!" Kris says, winking playfully, and Morgan laughs, and I can already feel my face getting red at her words.

"That's so sweet... Thank you." I say, looking at our crew. We hadn't talked about a honeymoon, and it was so sweet the crew had made plans for us so that we could have one.

Captain Alan of the Rika steps up next, handing Morgan a map of sorts. Morgan un rolls the map, and he glares at Alan. "Alan, what are you doing with this?! Do you know who's looking for this map?" He growls, his eyes hardening at the Captain of the Rika.

"It's a wedding present!" Captain Alan squeaks, as he ducks behind fuzzy.

"Alan, some treasures are not meant to be found or disturbed. This is one of those. Not to mention who has been searching for this, and it's near his area." Morgan growls, sounding slightly exasperated.

"What's wrong captain? What are you talking about?" Russ asks, curious. We all look at Morgan, curious. None of us knew what he was talking about, exactly.

"Alan has the fountain of youth map, which is not as good as it sounds. There's always a catch with these sorts of things, and they are best left alone." He explains, sighing.

"Wait that exists?" Kris asks, surprise in her hazel eyes, as she looks at Morgan.

"Who's territory is it in then?" Penelope asks, and Morgan sighs.

             "Blackbeard." Morgan snaps, looking pissed.

"Blackbeard died years ago I thought?" Eduardo cuts in, raising an eyebrow in question.

"He did. But Davy Jones took a liking to him, and he was aboard the Flying Dutchman, a member of the cursed crew." Morgan answers, looking serious as he explains.

"Wait, that shit is all true?" Russell asks, the shock clear on the fencers face.

"There are more things in heaven on earth as they say..." Christopher chimes in, and Morgan nods, still looking somber.

"That there is. Blackbeard was one of the fiercest pirates there was. They say he dabbled in black magic, and it's even said he could raise the dead. Though I think that might be a bit exaggerated, since it was Jones that always dealt with raising the dead... Anyway.. They say he was so evil, hell itself wouldn't take em' and that he treated his own crew worse than his prisoners, even going so far as to kill one of them off every so often, just to remind everyone that he could, and instill fear in his crew." Morgan pauses a moment, meeting everyone's gaze before continuing.

"They say he could control ships, supposedly having one of the sapphires of Triton on his sword. There are three sapphires, he only possessed one. His ship, the Queen Anne's Revenge, was said to be able to shoot fire from the bow, incinerating their enemies. He was also able to take over enemy ships, either sinking it, or using his magic to shrink the ships, turning it into a ship in a bottle, keeping it for his collection, sometimes even with the crew still on board." Morgan pauses again, everyone listening intently now.

"He did die, and was apart of Jones's cursed crew for some time. Jones took a liking to him, making him his personal bounty hunter, and he can also make deals for him as well. Anyway, Jones gave him his soul back, as well as his ship, so he could do his bidding, and move freely about land as well. Jones and his cursed crew can't last long on land, and only so long above water. Jones himself can only set foot on land only once every decade. So Blackbeard became useful to Jones." Morgan continues.

"Wait, so is he undead or what? If Jones gave his soul back?" Luna chimes in.

"He is mortal once again, and can die. He's a hard bastard to kill though. Which is why he wants this map. He wants to live forever without being cursed. He can live forever aboard the Flying Dutchman, but is cursed, and wouldn't be able to set foot on land as much as he would like to. So he searches for this map, making deals, as sneaky as the devil himself." Morgan finishes, as he carefully folds the map. "Which is why, we won't be going for this treasure. I'd prefer to steer clear of him and Jones." He adds, before quickly changing the subject. "Anyway, you ready to go then Cecilia?" He asks, his lazy smile returning once more.

I nod, and we head to the ship to pack a bag, as the crew starts to clean up the beach. We reach his room, and I notice Morgan stash the map, as we pack a bag and head for the resort.

"You've made me the happiest man alive Cecilia." He says, scooping me up bridal style as we walk into our room twenty minutes later. "I love you with all my heart, and I'm thrilled beyond words that I can spend the rest of my life with you by my side." He finishes, as he carries me into the room, setting me on the bed. "Now what is it that you've got on underneath this dress hmm?" He asks, as his eyes darken with heat in them. His lips take mine in a kiss before I can even answer him, my mind going blank as we start to get lost in each other.

                     (Penelope's POV)

We all watch Captain, and Cecilia leave, as we begin to clean up the beach, moving food trays, tables, and chairs, and hauling it all back to the ship.

"They looked happy didn't they?" Eduardo muses, as he follows me to the ship, carrying the last of the chairs back to the ship.

"They did. I'm happy for them. Cecilia deserved a nice wedding. I'm glad the navy didn't show up too." I say, as we pile everything into the storage room.

"We picked somewhere where we figured they wouldn't find us for it." He replies, laughing slightly. "Oh, you want to come with me to check and make sure we got everything?" He asks, glancing at me, and I nod, as he takes my hand, leading me back to the beach.

I glance over at Ed, as he looks kinda nervous, fidgeting, and running a hand back through his hair occasionally as we walk along the beach, looking for anything we might have missed.

"I don't think we missed anything." I say, getting ready to turn back, but he pulls me back, not letting me leave. "Are you okay Ed? You seem like something's up..." I trail off, looking him in the eye.

He shakes his head, smiling slightly. "Nothing gets past you anymore does it?" He adds, chuckling slightly to himself.

"I'm getting better at reading you." I add, smiling at the difficult navigator.

"That you are... Okay..." He trails off, glancing out towards the ocean. "I'm not good at this sort of thing...." He adds, scratching the back of his neck, as he still stares out towards the ocean. "Oh hell..."

My eyes widen in surprise, as I watch the grumpy navigator drop down on one knee, still holding onto my hand. No. Fucking. Way.

"As you know, I'm not really good at this sort of thing. You might think it's too early maybe, but time won't change my feelings for you, Penelope. I never thought I'd meet a woman that I'd want to spend my life with. But I fell for you Penelope, and I fell hard, feeling things that I wasn't used to feeling. You surprised me that first day, and continue to surprise me more, and more each day. I know I still have more to learn about you, but I want to continue learning more about you. Marry me Penelope. Please marry me, when you're ready." He finishes his speech, looking up at me.

"Yes." I answer, finally finding my voice, as he slips a ring on my ring finger. It was a silver band, with a sapphire on it, a slight design with smaller diamonds on either side of the sapphire.

He picks me up, swinging me around before bringing his lips to mine. I kiss him back, burying my fingers into his air, as our kiss deepens. He pulls away all too soon, smiling at me, and I can't help returning his smile.

"I never thought I'd see the day you'd propose." I tease him, and he rolls his eye.

"Yea well. I didn't either... There's something special about you woman." He answers, his usual sarcastic tone returning, but he's still smiling. "Do you recognize it?" He adds, glancing at me.

"Recognize what?" I ask, slightly confused.

"It's part of the sapphire we found together." He adds, gesturing to my ring.

Oh. The sapphire from the treasure hunt... He got a piece of it put into the ring? I glance at him, a question in my eyes, and he laughs, before answering the unspoken question.

"Yes, I got a piece of it, and had it put into the ring." He answers, still laughing.

I smile, surprised that he did that. He was secretly sweet, my eye patch wearing navigator. We head back to the ship, turning in for the night.

It was three days later, that everyone gathered on deck. Captain and Cecilia returned from their honeymoon, looking happy. We were happy for them, glad they got some time alone, away from the ship.

We gathered in the dinning room, after we left port, everyone chatting and catching up with Cecilia and Morgan.

A loud BOOM. Sounded, shaking the ship, some of us falling off our chairs. "What the hell?" Kris exclaimed, jumping up, and already reaching for her sword.

"It's probably the Rika. Let's go get this over with." Russ adds, rolling his eyes.

We all run up stairs to the deck, weapons drawn as we rush out onto the deck. I follow Ed, and everyone stops, looking at the ship that had just shot at ours. It wasn't the Rika.

It was an old looking ship, the wood a dark grey, an array of what looked like human bones decorated the front of the ship, the bow. The flag was one I didn't recognize, and by the looks on everyone else's faces they didn't either.

"Speak of the devil as they say." Morgan says, his gaze hardening as he eyes the foreign ship.

"Who is it captain?" Eduardo asks, looking to Morgan.

"That's the Queen Anne's Revenge..." Morgan answers, reaching for his sword.

The end

A/n: well everyone, that's it for this one. Playing for keeps has officially ended. >_<. There will be a sequel, already in the works. Thank you all for reading, voting, and commenting. A special thanks to everyone in the story!!!! I'll leave a longer sappy authors note in its own short chapter, since the epilogue is pretty long already, and I have a tendency to ramble.. Lol. But I'll leave another author note with sequel info after this. ! Thanks again!!!
