Ryder had fallen asleep slumped next to the bathtub when he jolted awake, he didn't understand what woke him until he discovered that his hand was no longer in Klaus's hair. His eyes widened in fear as he stood up, seeing Klaus's feet still hang over the edge worried Ryder fearing that Klaus had fallen in.

Until Klaus jumped up gasping, he covered his body with his hands before looking around and getting his surroundings. "Hey, you're okay Klaus." Ryder gently says grabbing Klaus's attention. Klaus slaps the water slightly before leaning on Ryder's chest, he didn't mind that his shirt was getting soaked he was more worried about Klaus right now.

"They didn't stop."

Ryder had a feeling he knew what Klaus was talking about. "The voices?" Klaus nodded before grabbing Ryder's hand a squeezing it. "I tried to get them to stop but they wouldn't so I went into the water trying to transport myself but who knew ghosts can breathe underwater." Klaus laughed humorlessly.

Ryder leaned over and pressed a light kiss on Klaus's head, before grabbing the headphones and looking at Klaus to make sure it was okay only placing the headphones on once Klaus gave permission. "Thank you for being here." Ryder smiled and nodded his head. "Always Klaus, I'll always be here for you." Ryder resisted the urge to kiss Klaus but he didn't, he started the tape for We're Through and with Klaus's insistence, he gave Klaus a lit cigarette.

"You're gonna be okay." Although Ryder didn't know if he was saying to Klaus or himself.

All of a sudden Ryder heard shooting, he looked over at Klaus who doesn't seem to have heard it, Ryder is torn with the choice of going out to fight or staying to protect Klaus. Ryder can feel his heartbeat in his chest, he slowly makes his way towards the door before closing it quietly.

He locks the door before taking out his phone, he closes his eyes before letting his eyes glow orange, he turned around to see that Klaus was still wrapped up in his music. He took a deep breath and let the flames fall into his hands, he looked down to see flames on the tips of his fingers.

Suddenly the door was burst open, standing in the door frame was a man with a blue bear head-on. It made shivers go down Ryder's spine but he straightened up, he raised his hand to shoot a fireball at the man's chest. "Wasn't expecting that." The man murmurs before he raises his gun and shoots Ryder in the chest.

Ryder looks down expecting to see a bullet hole but he doesn't see anything, he just feels pain and feels like he got punched in the chest. He gulps as he sees the masked man looming over him, he takes a quick look behind him at Klaus to see he's looking at Ryder petrified using his hands to cover his body. "It's gonna be okay Klaus." Ryder looks at Klaus, his heart breaks seeing the fear in his eyes. It was the last thing Ryder said before the man reared his fist back and punched Ryder in the face.

Everything went black for Ryder.

Ryder woke up because he felt he was moving, he opened his eyes to see he was in the trunk. Klaus's hair was in his eyes but he didn't care, he touched Klaus's shoulder lightly to show the other man he was alive and awake.

He moved away from Klaus until the back of the trunk was poking in his back, he closed his eyes before lifting his hands and peeling away the tape from his mouth. "Klaus, I'm okay. Are you alright? Just nod your head I can't reach you to take the tape off love." The love had slipped out without Ryder knowing but he didn't mind it.

Klaus nodded, as Ryder got his bearings he could feel Klaus shaking. "Shh, I'll protect you." Ryder tried to keep the flames down because he didn't want to hurt Klaus since they were in such close proximity to each other. Ryder noticed that they were laying on a rolled-up blanket that was under their heads.

Ryder couldn't move anywhere, he felt helpless. Feeling around he felt a towel around Klaus. "Are you covered in a towel, Klaus?" Klaus nodded against Ryder's chest.

Least whoever kidnapped them had the decency to cover Klaus with a towel, Ryder pressed a light kiss in Klaus's hair trying to give him some comfort. Ryder believed they would get out of this, he had to believe that if not for himself but for Klaus.

Ryder kicked at the side of the trunk a little bit but he knew it was hopeless as he couldn't reach the taillight to kick it out so he can try to get help.

Suddenly Ryder and Klaus jolted forward because they stopped moving, they both froze in fear that this was it they expected the trunk to be opened but it never came they heard voices and looked at each other in fear.

Ryder held his breath before realizing the voices were getting out of range. "I think they're leaving us, we're okay." The for now, went unsaid but they both knew it was implied.

By the way, Klaus was shaking Ryder knew close had to be terrified, Ryder struggled but he lifted his arms and rubbed Klaus on the shoulder. "I won't leave you alone Klaus, I'll do anything to keep you safe do you got that?" Klaus looked at Ryder with fear in his eyes before nodding, he knew that what he was saying was unusual for Ryder but he was scared for their lives, he felt like this would be his last day on earth but he was glad it was with Klaus even if Klaus doesn't know how Ryder feels about him.

They quieted down when they heard footsteps, they heard a crank when the trunk opened. Standing in front of them was the man with the Blue mask on but also a woman with a pink dog mask on, the masks made Ryder shiver but he steeled his eyes in determination.
