Nine

It was another typical day in the restaurant. Hoseok was busy wiping down tables after people have left so the place still looked nice and clean, and Seokjin was busy taking orders for his tables. It was lunchtime, and normally it would have been busy on the weekdays, but today it seemed almost as if it were a little slow.

"We need to get more people coming in," Seokjin sighs, finishing off his ticket before ripping it off and hanging it up for the cooks.

"I like the slow days," Hoseok hums, "It gives us a chance to breathe."

"I don't," Seokjin laughs, "It makes the day go by so slow when it's not busy."

"But you also don't work overtime if it's slow," Hoseok points out, "I am going to miss the tips for the day..."

"Yeah, at this rate I'm going to need to find another job," Seokjin sighs, running a hand through his hair, "If I'm going to have a daughter to support as well as a new baby... Namjoon has been working overtime... Or so he says..."

Hoseok arches his eyebrow, "He's working overtime at the university?"

"Yeah," Seokjin bites his lip as he leans against the counter, "He stayed the night there the other day, came home to grab a clean pair of clothes then left again. I swear if I didn't know any better I'd think he was cheating on me."

"Don't go down that road Jin," Hoseok warns, "Listen, how about you and Jungkook come over tomorrow to my house? My and Hyerin will make you guys something to eat and we can officially talk about the baby?"

Seokjin perks up, "That would be amazing Hobi. I'd hate to burden you guys though-"

"Stop it right now," Hoseok warns, "It's just lunch and talking about the baby. Besides, how did the first appointment go the other day?"

Seokjin smiles, "It went beautifully. The baby is healthy, and so is Jungkook. The doctor gave us all kinds of information to follow as well as answered all of our questions. We even got sonograms and a little CD of the baby's heartbeat."

"That's amazing," Hoseok smiles, but before he can continue the conversation the bell behind them rang, indicating that his table's food was ready. He turns, grabbing a tray and begins plating the food on it. Seokjin moves to go take care of his tables but before he got too far, Hoseok calls for him, "Seokjin! Tomorrow, my place at noon for lunch."

"Yes, sir!" Seokjin smiles, moving to his tables to refill their drinks and once more take orders.

"Hoseok! Can you light a candle so it'll smell nice in here!" Hyerin shouts from the kitchen, taking out the last of the food from the oven, "And set the table!"

"Hyerin, you already have three candles lit throughout the house babe," Hoseok cries out from the dining room. He was already setting the table before Hyerin could have even told him, wanting to help in some way make their house look nice for Seokjin and Jungkook. Especially Jungkook if the boy was going to be giving his baby to them.

"I need another lit!" Hyerin calls out, bringing the food to the dining room table and makes a noise of surprise, "Oh! You already set the table."

"Yeah, I knew you were going to have me do it," Hoseok laughs, waiting until his wife sets the hot dish down in the center of the table before bringing her into his arms, "Baby, breathe. It's all going to be okay."

"Yeah, but what if he takes a look at the house and doesn't approve of it?" Hyerin wrings her hands together as Hoseok rocks her back and forth in place.

"Babe, he's a pregnant teenager. I'm sure he wants what is best for the baby but he knows who we are and he doesn't care what our house looks like. Plus, he's seen it at parties that we host for the holidays, so he knows our house is always nice."

"I know," Hyerin pouts, "I just don't want to ruin the moment and ruin our chances of having a child..."

"It'll all be okay," Hoseok hums, "We'll have a child in our arms soon."

The doorbell to their front door rings, which in turn made the couple jump slightly in surprise. Hoseok pulls away from his wife, not before placing a kiss on her forehead before heading to the front door to let in their guests. As soon as he opened the door though, he caught sight of Jungkook throwing up something blue right in their rose bushes by their front porch steps. Seokjin had one his hands on his back, rubbing it while the other held on to Jangmi's small hand. Hoseok instantly freezes, his eyes widening, "Oh my, are you okay?"

"Yeah," Jungkook groans, holding his stomach with one hand while the other wipes blue spit off of his mouth and chin, "Baby does not like blue raspberry slushies."

Hoseok steps aside while Seokjin helps Jungkook inside, he was pouting slightly from his stomach aching and wanted nothing more than to lay down now. But as soon as they step in, the teenager took a deep breath in and sighs in delight, "Oh my god it smells amazing in here."

"Why thank you," Hyerin smiles as she enters to greet the guests that have entered her home, "I made a garlic butter roasted chicken with baby potatoes and carrots, garlic asparagus, and a chocolate pie to eat for dessert."

"Oh my god that sounds amazing," Jungkook moans, throwing his head back, "I'm starving!"

"You just threw up blue slushie," Seokjin chuckles, "don't go too crazy."

"The baby may not have liked the blue slushie, but it likes the sound of garlic chicken and potatoes," Jungkook nods, patting his stomach lightly, "When can we eat?"

"Jungkook-ah!" Seokjin hisses, looking to Hyerin and Hoseok, "I'm terribly sorry, I expected this from my three-year-old daughter, not my seventeen-year-old brother. He seemed to have forgotten his manners at home."

"It's okay," Hyerin giggles, gesturing to the dining room, "Shall we?"

She leads the group into the dining room, one by one serving her guests their meal before serving herself. Hoseok poured glasses of sparkling wine for everyone, even Jangmi in her sippy cup brought in by Seokjin, "So, Seokjin told me you guys went to the doctor?"

"Yeah, it was alright," Jungkook shrugs, taking a bite of the chicken and moaning at the taste loudly, "Holy balls this chicken is amazing."

"Jungkook!" Seokjin hisses, "I'm so sorry Hyerin, Hoseok, my brother-"

"It's alright," Hyerin giggles, covering her mouth with a small hand, "I appreciate the kind words Jungkook. But please, tell us how the doctor's appointment went. I'm curious as to what they found."

"I'm currently ten weeks," Jungkook mumbles with his mouth full, "the baby is looking like a sea monkey. Pretty healthy if you ask me."

"Any health concerns from you or your side of the family we need to know about?" Hyerin asks, "High blood pressure? Heart problems?"

"As far as I know our family history is clean of any health problems," Seokjin answers for Jungkook, "We can order one of those DNA kits from the hospital-"

"That won't be necessary," Hoseok clears his throat, taking a sip of his drink before looking to the brothers, "From here on out, anything involving the baby, including expenses, we will take care of it. Doctors appointments, medications, necessities for the baby and Jungkook, we will help. And then when the baby is born, all you have to do is hand him or her over. Does that sound like a deal?"

Jungkook and Seokjin look between one another, Seokjin smiles slightly at his brother as he nods, "It's your decision Kook. Does their offer sound appealing to you?"

Jungkook bites his lip as he thinks over everything. All of the ideas Hoseok proposed for the baby and for himself, all sounded promising. It all honestly sounds better than having to worry about being a teen mother to a baby... Jungkook looks up at Hoseok and Hyerin, holding a hand out, "I think we have us a deal."
