Fifteen

Jungkook opens the door to the school loudly, waddling as fast as he can towards the main office while holding his six month belly to the desk. The secretary, an older woman with snow white hair cut shorter than his with large glasses perched on the bridge of her nose, looks up with boredom in her eyes as Jungkook pants and huffs noisily at the end of the desk. She arches a silver eyebrow, her brown eyes scan Jungkook from his face to his visible baby bump over the counter, "Name?"

"Jeon Jungkook," Jungkook sighs, panting for air as he placed his hands on his hips, "Sorry I'm late, my appointment went over time."

She locks eyes with his baby bump once more, rolling her eyes slightly before grabbing a pink slip and began filling it out. Jungkook watches as she looks from the slip to him every so often, disappointment taking over her features as she occasionally shakes her head. When she was done, she handed him the slip, and with a sickly sweet smile Jungkook grabs it, "Thanks Karen. Have a lovely day and try not to lose your eyes in the back of your head."

He waves obnoxiously before leaving the office, rolling his eyes and huffing a few choice names about the secretary before waddling down the hall through the students. Most avoided him like the plague, thinking if he were to lay a finger or breathe in his direction they would get pregnant as well like it was some sort of disease. It amused him really, the other day all he did was brush his baby bump against one of the popular jocks and sickly laughed as the jock made a noise of disgust.

It caused the baby in his womb to kick ferociously, but it was so worth it.

Once he made it to his locker, he opens it easily with the pad lock key code and places his bag in the locker, swapping it for books and a pencil. He could hear a few teens whispering about him from down the hall, and although he was pretending not to notice them deep down they really stabbed into his heart.

"Jungkook!" A deep voice calls down the hall, and the teen looks for the familiar voice.

He's met with Taehyung's boxy grin, and instantly remembers their last encounter with one another and how upset Taehyung was with him. Hopefully he's forgotten all about it, and judging by the grin he had on his face Jungkook has assumed he has. The younger teen smiles, "Hey Tae, what's up?"

"I noticed you weren't in chemistry so I got kinda worried," the older admits sheepishly, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly, "I uh... I thought something was maybe wrong?"

"No everything's fine, I had a doctors appointment is all," the teen nods, his hands rub his belly self consciously, "You know, checking up on the little sea monkey swimming around inside of me."

Taehyung looks down at the swollen belly, licking his lips before looking back up at Jungkook with a timid expression, "How are you feeling?"

"Like I have eaten my weight in cheese and lamb skewers," Jungkook sighs, "I swear this kid is making my feet swollen, my ankles swollen, my belly is the size of Uranus. I have to pee all the freakin' time and Jin is making me use this gross lotion that is supposed to prevent stretch marks."

Taehyung chuckles, "Well, I know something that might cheer you up."

"What's that?" Jungkook arches his eyebrow, adjusting his bag on his shoulder that felt as if it were weighing him down more.

Taehyung grabs the bag from the pregnant male and carries it for him as they began walking to their next class, "I was wondering if you wanted to come over? And maybe play the new Assassins Creed Valhalla?"

Jungkook's eyes widen, "Oh my god yes! You got it!?"

"I kinda blew all of my chore money on it," Taehyung laughs sheepishly, "I now have no money to my name."

Jungkook nods, keeping a specific comment to himself as he smiles, "I'd like that Tae, it's been a while since we have hung out and anymore I just don't have time with this baby and all."

"Yeah I get it," Taehyung bites his lip, once more looking down at Jungkook's belly before clearing his throat, "So I'll see you later?"

"Yeah, that sounds awesome," Jungkook nods, watching as Taehyung walks off with a timid wave. He sighs, he could feel the baby kicking wildly and he couldn't help but let out a groan, "Ugh, child quit beating up my insides!"

Jungkook knocks on the door in front of him, and he didn't need to wait long before the door opens and Taehyung's mother stood before him with a frown and her arms crossed. He smiles politely, "Good evening Mrs. Kim, dinner smells good whatcha making?"

She drags her eyes up and down Jungkook's belly, they landed on his stomach for a bit before she finally answered, "Bulgogi."

"Nice! It smells fantastic," he steps in beside her, walking right past her and straight up the stairs towards Taehyung's room. The door was closed, but not for long as the heavily pregnant teen opens it wide to Taehyung straightening his blankets on his bed. The older teen looks up suddenly, but before he can say anything Jungkook sighs heavily and drops his bag onto the floor, "What's up nerd?"

Taehyung snorts, "Nerd?"

Jungkook hums, waddling over to the designated game chair next to Taehyung's gaming chair. The exact same chair that they conceived this baby in. Jungkook turns away from it to avoid looking at it as he sits in the other chair, "I'm pretty sure your mother hates me."

"She doesn't hate you," Taehyung rolls his eyes, grabbing the game from his bedside table and walking over to the game console, "She's just... protective."

"I could see it in the way she looked me up and down and stared down at my belly like it was the temporary home for the anti-Christ," Jungkook scoffs, "It's like I was offending her that I was even at her doorstep."

"She just doesn't like this whole baby situation," Taehyung shrugs, dismissing the topic by placing the game in the console and grabbing their designated remotes, "She doesn't like it that her baby got someone pregnant and that we're not keeping it."

Jungkook sighs, he was afraid this conversation would come up soon again, "Tae, I told you it's for the best-"

"I know, but she doesn't think that," Taehyung waves a hand to dismiss the topic, "Can we just please play the game and not argue? I really missed playing games with you and hanging out. Ever since that night we haven't been hanging out..."

Jungkook licks his chapped lips before nodding softly, "Of course. Let's play!"

The two friends smile at one another before starting the game, it was quiet for the most part as they played for the first hour. But by the time the second hour rolled around, Jungkook groans and stands, placing his hands behind his back right above his hips, "God child, I wish for once you would let me relax and stop kicking my bladder!"

Taehyung pauses the game and looks at the pregnant teen with wide eyes. One of Jungkook's hands were now pressed against his back while the other was placed on his stomach. He paced back and forth in Taehyung's room before waddling quickly to the bathroom and relieving himself from a full bladder. Once he enters the room again, Taehyung has drinks and snacks ready for them to enjoy the rest of their time together, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, this kid is just kicking. That's all it does is kick anymore and it feels like my insides are permanently bruised," Jungkook groans, looking down at his swollen belly before sighing heavily, "Sorry, I had to get up and walk around it usually makes him stop."

"You're fine," Taehyung swallows the lump in his throat before he spoke again, "Can I uh... can I... f-feel it?"

Jungkook snaps his attention over to Taehyung and doesn't even hesitate to nod, "Oh yeah, yeah! Come here," he grabs Taehyung's hand and jerks him up out of his chair, placing the large hand on his belly right where the baby was kicking. Taehyung's eyes widen when he felt those few little thumps against his hand before they disappeared.

He frowned when he doesn't feel anything more, "I think he stopped..."

"Try talking to it, that's what usually riles him up," Jungkook smiles, lifting his shirt up to reveal his belly to Taehyung.

The father of the unborn child gently placed his warm hands on the swollen, round, temporary home of the child and leans forward. He doesn't say anything at first before he started talking, "Hey kid... it's me, your dad..." he looks up at Jungkook nervously, the younger male just smiles and nods for Taehyung to continue, "I know I'm not around much... and I know you probably have no clue who I am... but I just want you to know that no matter what happens, I'll always remember you and I hope to see you one day when you're all grown up and healthy."

It was silent amongst the parents as they waited for the baby to respond. They didn't have to wait long before little thumps rap against the walls of the baby's home against Taehyung's hand. Taehyung grins widely, looking up at Jungkook, "Holy shit that's amazing!"

"Yeah, the baby does it a lot when Jangmi and Seokjin talk to it, sometimes Jimin but usually he moves away to fall asleep when Jimin talks to him."

Taehyung felt the baby kick some more before it rolled visibly to the other side of Jungkook's stomach, and soon all movements stopped completely. Jungkook chuckles, "You wore them out."

"I know you said he earlier, is it a boy?"

"I actually didn't find out, I left it a surprise for Hoseok and Hyerin. I just kind of assumed it was, I have a strong feeling it's a boy," Jungkook pulls his shirt back down to hide his stomach and waddles back to his chair, "It'll be fun for them to decorate the nursery for the baby in whatever theme they want. Hoseok was going to start painting the nursery and stuff soon."

"Cool," Taehyung nods, "One more hour before you head home?"

"Yeah, let's play," Jungkook sat down once more and picks up his remote, waiting until Taehyung too is ready before hitting the unpause button then proceeding to play.
