"Heads down, focus on your test. Every time I catch you cheating that's one point deducted from you final score. Talking, that's another point. You step out of line in anyway and that's a point from your final score." Our maths teacher barks at us, he takes one more look around the classroom "Okay! You may begin your exam, put you name on it first I don't want you all coming back to me with nameless tests. You'll get a zero if you do." I write my name in the box at the top and take a look at the first question, this was going to be a long hour.

Once I finish the test I take the remaining time to look over my test again and check it several times. "Okay everyone, that's all the time you have to work on your test. Pens down and wait for me to collect your test." He came around picking up everyone's tests.

"How do you think you did?" Woojin says once our tests are taken from us,

"Okay, I guess." I shrug and Woojin grins,

"You're the top of the school, Minjung, you must of done amazing." I roll my eyes.

"Try and tell that to my mother." I scoff "She always tells me the same thing 'You should try and me more like Woojin, he's so smart. Why aren't you that smart?'" Woojin starts laughing.

"She's telling the top of the school to be as smart as me? I may be second but does she ever pay attention to your rank?" I shake my head

"Not until dad gets to look at it and exclaims loudly for the whole house to hear that I'm first." Woojin shakes his head.

"Your mother is really weird."

"You don't say." I mutter. The teacher then begins to pack up his things.

"Good luck on your next test." He waves at us and leaves. Now, if you thought that teacher was remotely scary or strict - you haven't seen anything yet. Tall, blonde, French, that's our Geography teacher. She speaks Korean with an obvious foreign accent, her glasses are always pushed all the way her nose and her sharp features are prominent. She stalks into the room, her high heels clicking as she goes. She dumps the tests onto her desk and sit down in the chair, she glares at us all.

"Minjung, hand out the tests." She began,

"Yes, Miss Cantrelle." I stand up and take the tests of her desk, passing one to each student. She barks out instructions whilst I do so.

"No talking, no copying, no standing up, put your name on your work, answer every question even your just guessing, no food, only a bottle of water without the label attached and remember that violation of any of these rules will severely damage your final score!" I place the final test in front of me and sigh, this certainly isn't going to be fun.

"How did you two do on your tests?" Hyungseob skips alongside us and asks "You probably both aced it, your are the top of the school after all." Woojin shakes his head profusely.

"Minjung, probably yeah, me? No, I don't think I did so good this time around."

"Why, are you sick or something?" I ask, stepping away from him a little,

"No, not really. I'm just really tired." To add to it, he lets out a yawn. I tilt my head to the side, that was a bit odd considering Woojin was the type to go to sleep at 9pm but the way he said it made it sound like he stayed up really late.

"Were you studying super hard too?" Hyungseob inquires and Woojin shakes his head,

"No, I was just working on something." He smiles brightly.

"What are you working on?" Hyungseob asks, poking his shoulder in an attempt to get something out of him.

"Don't want to tell you, it's not done yet anyway." Hyungseob pouts at him "Pouting doesn't make a difference, Hyungseob."

"Damn." He mumbles,

"So why exactly have you decided to join us today, Hyungseob?" I ask him, he slows down from skipping to a walk.

"I want to do well on my exams, the ones we had today I'm okay with but the next few are terrifying to me. I figured that if I hung out with you guys that your intelligence might rub off on me and I'll do better." Woojin and I both laugh, Hyungseob gives us a confused look.

"I don't... think... that... works." Woojin says between giggles.

"It's worth a shot." Hyungseob says with a shrug,

"What about the rest of your friends? Won't they be confused, or think that you've abandoned them?" I question him, Hyungseob shakes his head.

"Nope, I told them I'm on a journey to become smarter. I also told them that it probably involves me not spending time with them until exams are over." Woojin and I both take a sharp left turn, Hyungseob keeps walking "I should probably learn where you guys sit if I'm going get to keep doing this for the next few weeks." He says with a laugh, running to catch up with us.

"You probably should." Woojin replies whilst collapsing to the ground before immediately standing back up again.

"What is it?" He then relocates us to the bench on the opposite side of the grassed area that undercover "I'd appreciate an answer."

"The grass is wet, so I moved and you all followed." I roll my eyes,

"You make it sound like we both shouldn't be here with you." I sit down next to him and Hyungseob sits on the other side of him.

"You better get used to having me with you." Hyungseob grins at us.

"Getting used to having someone so bright and cheerful around? That's simple enough." Woojin says

"If his theory of our intelligence rubbing off onto him works, does that mean we'll become more cheerful?" I suggest, Woojin nods.

"Possibly, and that would be a good thing." Woojin concludes "Welcome to the club, Hyungseob. You're the third offical member."
