------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vaish was working in her office in Mumbai preparing for an important presentation. Today was her last working day here. After that she was going to Delhi to live with her parents for one month till they plan the big wedding.

She thought they will need more time but turns out they had already planned everything. Once again she was blown away by their planning.

She always thought that she and Abhay will make the most dramatic family but their parents were so ahead of them. She was doubtful whether they will be able to break the record of their parents. But then again she was always known to be one step ahead. She would be more dramatic than her parents.

In fact she was thinking to start the planning for her kids to start from their birth. She would arrange their marriage but make them fall in love with her twisted techniques. That was a good plan, she thought and smirked. Finally she will beat her mother.

But that was a long term goal. For now she needed to do something faster to get her revenge. She thought that the confrontation that day will make her satisfied but it didn't. She was thinking to do something more dramatic.

Her mind was running in all different directions thinking of all the different ways to get her revenge and she wanted to stage one more drama to give them a shock which was equivalent to the shock they gave her and Abhay.

As for Abhay, that man was a gone case. He was literally stuck with her mom like glue. It was cute at first but now her mom and Abhay were making fun of her. Surprisingly her dad was also in their team. Samay was neutral party because he knew better to mess with his sister. He was sure that she will take her revenge. So he was keeping his distance from that day, as Vaish had cut his allowance till she gets married to Abhay.

When she and Abhay told their friends about it they were first shocked but then laughed it out, just shaking their heads. They decided for a get together with their partners after their wedding. She was more excited for that then her wedding itself as wedding would be a boring affair for her, she had to sit for so long and give fake smile to all the guests.

Today her mom had organised a family dinner, to discuss the formalities of the wedding. She felt like laughing because she knew once again everything would be planned ahead and she and Abhay will just nod their head.

And that husband of hers, should be thinking of ways to spend some alone time with her before she goes back but no; the mister was busy. He left earlier today because he wanted to help her mom prepare dinner and Vaish just looked at him in unbelievable way but the man was unaffected. She just shook her head and kissed him before he left. The things you do for love!

Now she had almost completed her work and was on her way back home. She entered her apartment and saw her mom working in the kitchen while her dad was working. Samay was probably in his room sleeping. Her mom looked calmer then she expected.

She thought that her mom will be in her Godzilla mode for the dinner preparations but she was calm. May be it was calm before storm, she thought and went to her room for her bath. Her mom had already selected the dress for her and she sighed as she was really not in the mood to select something.

Her mom informed her that Abhay has gone to pick up his aunt. She was missing him when he was gone for only few hours. How will she survive one month without him when she can't stay few hours without him? This love was making her feel all those stupid girly emotions that she has hidden inside her tough exterior.

She wore her dress and got ready. She literally jumped with excitement when she heard the doorbell. She opened the door wishing to see Abhay but it was Pooja Aunty. She greeted her with a smile and looked behind her to see him but her man was nowhere.

"Are you expecting someone else?" Pooja asked in a teasing tone and Vaish felt her cheeks burning.

"No Aunty, no one." She replied.

"Oh! I thought you might want to know about my nephew." Pooja said with a smile.

"I'm not interested in knowing his whereabouts and he is late and late comers aren't allowed in this family show also known as family dinner!" Vaish said and smiled in victory.

"Is that so? I thought you would be interested in the message he left for you but if you don't want to know then it's okay." Pooja said and Vaish immediately screamed, "What message Aunty?"

"Here. Take this. My driver will take you to your destination." Pooja said and gave her a daisy which Vaish just noticed.

Vaish smiled by seeing her favourite flower but then frowned.

"My destination? What about the dinner here?" Vaish asked.

"That family show is for us elder people. You young people enjoy your evening. Abhay has already taken permission from your family. So now go and enjoy." Pooja said and Vaish immediately hugged her and mentally kissed Abhay for finally planning a date for them.

He didn't forget their last evening together and she was so excited to see what he has planned for them.

She was looking outside the window curiously to see where they were heading but she didn't have any clue as she was not familiar with the roads of this city.

The car finally stopped near a beach and the driver gave her another daisy with a note. She curiously opened the note.

Spitfire,

I know that you thought that I will forget about your last day here. But how can I forget you or this city which has given us so many good memories? Not possible.

We both forgot so many things about that night which bought us together. So I thought why not we get our night and make some beautiful memories, this time without any drinks so that these memories stay with us for lifetime.

So, with due permission from our families, this night is ours. Let's enjoy it!

Yours,

Mr. Stranger.

Vaish smiled widely before looking ahead to see a dinner table beautifully decorated. She now noticed that the beach was empty which meant it was a private beach.

She walked near the table and saw another daisy with a note. She smiled before opening the note and reading it.

Fireball,

This is how I should have asked you for dinner; with permission from your parents, with a smile on your face and no doubt in your heart.

So with all due respect, may I have the honour of having your beautiful company for dinner?

Waiting for your reply,

Yours,

Mr. Stranger.

Vaish smiled and looked around to find him, to give her answer.

"Abhay."

"Abhay. Where are you?" She said but received no answer.

"Okay if you are not coming out then I will go ad have dinner with our family." Vaish said and turned away before feeling his presence.

"You can't run away fireball. You are on this beach, stranded with me." Abhay said coming out of the shadows and looking all handsome in white and black.

"Here comes my knight in shining Armani... oops... in black and white jeans t shirt!" Vaish said with a smirk. She wasn't going to shy away from her husband.

Husband... What a relief to be able to say this word without any fear or any fore thinking.

"So how was your journey here? I hope aunty didn't tease you too much...And what about my romantic letters? You won't believe who gave me this idea!" Abhay said coming closer to her and kissing her forehead. This was their thing, him kissing her on her forehead whenever they see each other and her giving him a heart-warming smile.

"The journey doesn't matter when all you can think about is your destination. Pooja Aunty is a sweetheart. And the letters were too romantic to be your idea but they were old school romantic and there is only one person that we both know who will do romance by books." Vaish said.

"Rehan."

Both of them said together and laughed.

Rehan was always a traditional romantic and Sanaa was a romance lover; perfect couple.

"Well, Mr. Stranger is this all borrowed romance. I was expecting something new from you." Vaish said and sat on her chair and no, Abhay didn't pull it out for her.

One, because she didn't need it.

Two, because he didn't think it was necessary. She has two perfect hands and she was capable of doing it for herself.

So he grabbed his chair and instead of sitting opposite to her, he sat near her and took her hand in his.

"The night has just started Mrs. Stranger. Have some patience. I assure you that you will witness a new side of me tonight." He whispered close to her ear and her face showed a deep red inspite of all her efforts to control it.

"What's on the menu tonight? I'm so hungry." Vaish tried to change the topic.

"Very subtle attempt to change the topic but never mind; I will tease you all our life. As for the menu, today we have all the specials." And her face showed a big smile.

They served the dinner by themselves as Abhay didn't want any one else but them on the beach.

As soon as Vaish tasted it, her eyes widened.

"This is mom's cooking! I can recognise it anywhere in the world. I'm going to eat it all." Vaish screamed.

"Leave some space for dessert too." Abhay said and she just nodded like a child.

As she tasted the dessert she realised that it was different. It was her favourite and it was her mom's recipe but something was different... good different. She then looked at Abhay who was looking at her intently with a curiosity in his eyes and her eyes widened at realisation.

Abhay made the dessert. He actually took the time to learn her favourite dish from her mother and cook for her and with that realisation tears suddenly came in her eyes.

How can she get so lucky to get a man who cared so much for her? He was busy a man and he could have ordered from any five star restaurant if he wanted but he actually made the effort for her and that thought was overwhelming for her.

This is just the glimpse of his love for her and the reason why she love him so much.

"Is it that bad for you to cry?" He asked knowing well that she wasn't crying because of dessert but for something completely different.

"No. You are too good and that makes me emotional all the time." He just smiled at her statement and wiped her tears even before that.

"Don't be too emotional, Mrs. Stranger. I don't want my spitfire to lose her identity in this marriage. Promise me that." He said in a sincere tone.

She smiled through her tears.

"I promise you that I will always be your fireball but I want you to promise that you will always be my Abhay. The one who understands me more than myself and who has always been my strength." She said.

"No, I can't be your source of strength. I can be your inspiration but my fireball doesn't need strength from anyone other than herself." Abhay said and Vaish fell for him all over again.

"But I do promise to be with you forever." He added and she smiled.

"Forever it is then." She said and both of them smiled.

"Let's go for a walk." He asked for her hand and she happily gave it to him.

"So now you are going to your home for a month."

"Yeah." She replied sadly.

"Why so upset?" He asked casually knowing well the reason behind her sadness.

"You are not upset at all." She simply said.

"Should I be upset?" He asked.

"No, why would you be?" She replied fuming in anger.

She was becoming a love stuck fool and this man was totally unaffected. So she walked ahead of him, needing some cold air to calm her hot temper. She didn't want to argue on their last date for one month.

He laughed at her haughtiness. It was always a fun to tease her.

He walked faster and caught her by her hand.

"Fireball, there is nothing wrong in admitting that you are going to miss me in this one month." He said.

"It is wrong when you are going to be the only one saying that and the other one is not even showing a sign of getting affected." She truthfully said and he sighed.

He pulled her hand and sat on the sand slightly away from water and pulled her in his lap.

She didn't resist but just sighed and kept quiet.

"It's true that I'm not going to miss you." He said and she stiffened in his lap and tried to get up to control her sudden tears.

But then she suddenly realised that she is not a damsel in distress. She never was and never will be weak.

So instead of getting up from his lap, she looked at him with fury in her eyes.

And he smiled for getting his fireball back. He was missing her. Emotional Vaish was sweet but the one firing shots with her eyes was pure gold!

So he was purposefully riling her up. After all he did fall for a drama queen, the one who has defeated him in his games.

His smirking expression soon transformed into painful one when she punched him on his stomach.

"You won't miss me!" She said and punched him.

"You won't feel upset." Another punch.

"You are not at all going to feel anything." One more punch.

"You sick...sick..." She wasn't able to complete her sentence because he swiftly stopped her hand and changed their position so that now she was lying on her back and he was on top of her with his both hands capturing hers but still his weight was not falling on hers.

Their faces were so close to each other, their hot breath fanning each other and their eyes holding unlimited passion for each other.

"I won't miss you because I'm coming to Delhi next week for some project and going to be there for two weeks. I will come back to Mumbai five days before our wedding." He finally gave her the reason for his indifference.

"And how can you think that I won't miss you. Every single thing around me reminds me of you. My mornings are incomplete without my banter with you. My afternoons are empty if we don't have some heated discussion about our work. My evenings are void if I don't watch you finishing your work and my nights are not complete if I don't have dinner with you. My entire day is with you and for you. You don't even leave my thoughts in my sleep because all I do is to dream about you and our future together! This is how much I love you Mrs. Vaishali Khanna Singh."

"So don't think for a second that I won't miss you. I would have come with you to Delhi but I don't want your family to think that I'm stealing you away from them. But I could only live for a week without you. After that I would have to see you, so got this work in Delhi and found this perfect opportunity to see you. Though I know for sure that everyone will see through it because everyone around us knows how crazily I love you." He finished and Vaish felt hot at each and every word.

Every barrier around her broke. Any doubt that she had or was going to have ever resolved. She hasn't heard someone so passionately describing his feeling and all she could feel at that moment was a burning desire and she could see a reflection of her desires in his eyes. They were mirroring the same thing.

She closed the distance between them and broke the final barrier and kissed him the way she wanted to kiss him ever since she got to know that he is her husband.

And he kissed her back like there was no tomorrow.

She was his.

Only his.

To love and to hold.

To cherish.

For now and for forever.

And now they weren't hiding anything from each other or from their family so nothing was wrong, because he was claiming his wife and the night was going to witness their love.
