FAITH

"Who the hell are you?" My dad asked the man by the door.

"Mason!" I yelped out his name.

"Your daughter can't get married to him because she's getting married to me." Mason stated, "We have a relationship. We love each other."

"Yeah... Yeah! That's... right!" I chimed in, agreeing.

"Get this stranger out of my house!" My mom yelled at my dad.

"Listen here, stranger. Our daughter is engaged to Ryan. Get her out of your head and leave before I call the cops."

"No! She can't get married to another man because... because Faith is pregnant with my child!"

Silence.

"FAITH!" My dad yelled at me, growling.

My mom dropped the cup in her hands.

Oliver and Hannah froze.

Mary looked confused, as always.

Ryan looked unfazed.

Hope and Lyn were smirking.

Josh was fuming, "How impudent! Such a disgrace! How dare you put us through this embarrassment, Tyler! We are done protecting your daughter. Consider the video leaked!"

"That will not happen." Mason calmly stated.

"Oh, yeah? How so? Who the hell are you to stop me?"

"I am Mason Hamond. I'm sure you've heard of Hamond Inc," Mason introduced himself. From Josh's eyes, you could tell he knew exactly who Mason was.

"You will hand everything you have of that night to me and in exchange, I will pay you a large amount of money. This will never be brought up, again? Have I made myself clear? Josh, you will move back to Florida once you get your money and the two families will never remain in contact." Mason explained, shortly.

"How large?" Josh asked. That money-whore. His eyes widened from hearing the word money.

"We will discuss that privately. Mr. and Mrs. Lange, all I can tell you is to support your daughter in this phase. This kind of stress isn't good for Faith. We are leaving for North Carolina. We leave the rest up to your conscience. Good day. Let's go, sweetheart." Mason held my hand and led me to his car.

"Mason! Thank you so much! Thank you! Thank you! I knew you would come for me! Ahh!! Oh my Gosh, thank you! But... Mason, I can't leave Jocelyn and Hope behind. Can we do something about it? But, still, I don't want to be a burden. You've done so much. Thanks, again. Oh my God, I can't thank you enough." I thanked him.

"Are you going to shut up?" He asked me, his voice had suddenly gotten cold, distant, and bitter.

I looked down and remained silent for the whole ride. We arrived at the airport but I noticed how we took a different route. Soon, I found myself on the runway. Mason has a freaking private plane!

I sat far from him on the plane and didn't sleep one bit. I spent the whole flight looking out the window and thinking.

We finally landed and I watched as Mason walked into his car. I decided to wait for him to leave to call an uber.

"Well, aren't you coming?" Mason asked me, clearly annoyed and tired of waiting.

"Oh. Uh, no, thank you. I don't want to trouble you. I'll just take an uber to my apartment. But, thanks for everything. Also, um, I'll leave my resignation letter on your desk first thing in the morning."

"Faith, I really don't have time for this. Get in the car."

I gave him a "No-I-Really-Shouldn't" look but he responded with a "Get-In-The-Car-Now" look.

Another hour of silence in the car was awaiting me...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm so bored.
How much longer till we get there?
Oh, I know this exit! We're almost at my apartment!
Wait, we're not supposed to turn right!
"Um, no, I think you got it wrong. We had to exit left for my apartment." I explained.
"We're not going to your apartment." He stated.
"Where are we going then..?" I asked.
"We're going to my mom's house. She wants to meet you."
"WHAT?!"
"Jeez, woman. Don't yell like that when I'm driving."
"Why? Why are we going over to your mom's? Why does she want to meet me?"
"She thinks you're her future bride. That's the only reason why I saved you from that bastard, anyway."
Ouch. That hurt. Now, I'm 100% sure that he has 0 feelings for me.
I remained silent. I liked him. I couldn't deny that. So, hearing that he never cared to save me if it wasn't for his mother really hurt me.
"Aren't you going to ask why she thinks you're her future bride?" Mason asked me after a few minutes of silence.
I looked down and remained silent. I was afraid if I talked, I'll end up crying.
"That day when you came to my office crying, I was on the phone with my mom. When she asked me if I was with her future bride, I panicked and said yes with a promise of introducing you with her as soon as possible."
Now, I understood why he was bringing me to his mom and why he saved me from Ryan.
"There are a few things you should know before you meet my mother..." Mason started listing.
Oh God.
