FAITH
"Fei, I swear to God, if you don't wake up right now, I will tickle you." I heard a faint voice.
Within seconds, I felt pokes at the side of my stomach.
"I'M AWAKE!" I jumped up.
"Girl, it's been a good 7 minutes since we landed." Jocelyn stated.
Groaning, I got up and retrieved my bag from under the chair.
"Let's go..." Hope dragged on.
"Okay, okay." I walked out, hurriedly, behind them.
When I finally caught up with my two friends, I noticed we were outside and Hope had gotten into a black unknown vehicle. I'm not good with car brands so that's the only kind of labeling I could come up with.
What the hell?
"Hope! Jocelyn! What are you guys doing?" I asked. The two girls looked at me with clear confusion.
"Um... Getting in the car..?" Hope answered.
"Oh. Oh. Didn't they tell you? Olivia called an uber for us. They're waiting for us at home." Jocelyn explained.
That's strange...
I shrugged off the thoughts out of my head and got inside the car.
"Guys, doesn't this feel strange... We're home. Like our actual home. We're in Hoboken, not North Carolina." Jocelyn remarked.
"I don't know, it feels the same to me." Hope shrugged.
I rolled my eyes, "I totally agree. I feel so used to North Carolina that it feels strange going back home."
Our houses were townhouses. Basically, our houses are attached, but not up-and-down like an apartment, but side-to-side. Our house was attached to the side of Jocelyn's house. In fact, the previous owners were such great friends that they had a door connect the two houses from the inside, as well. I guess you could say we all lived in one huge house alltogether.
Hope rummaged through her bag as we walked up to the front of the house.
"Well, aren't you going to ring the bell?" Jocelyn asked Hope. I was lazily sitting on the stairs, waiting.
"Nope, I've got the keys." Hope answered, shaking the keys she had finally found. I got up and watched as Hope struggled with opening the door.
"Here, give it to me." I sighed. Hope has always had a thing with doors. She could never open or unlock it. I know, weird, but true. Just like Hope, she's weird, but true.
I inserted the key and unlocked the door. As I lightly swung the door open, I yelled in joy, "we're hom--what the hell is going on here..?!"
