FAITH

"Jocelyn is coming over with her parents for dinner. We will discuss this 'North Carolina' issue." informed my dad.

It's been two days. Jocelyn and I talked once. Hope was a nervous wreck. I was... normal? I don't know. I was just weird. I had a really bad feeling as our parents have been giving us the silent treatment for these two days. 

I went downstairs and helped my mom with setting the table. Soon enough, Jocelyn and her family were here. We sat down for dinner. All three of us were dead silent.

"So.." said Jocelyn's mom.

"We talked together and decided that this is a great opportunity. However, it way too far away." explained my dad.

"We just don't have a good feeling about this." said Jocelyn's dad.

"But. We are willing to give you three a chance. If something happens, you guys come straight back home, you got that?" my mom told us.

We cheered and hugged everyone. After thanking them, my friends and I went upstairs. 

We arranged our apartment, documents, resume, job, and everything else we needed. Hope's hands were literally shaking out of excitement. 

ONE MONTH LATER

"Take care, guys! Call us when you land!" our parents hugged and kissed us.

It was time. We were at the airport. Saying our final goodbyes, we went inside the waiting room. Soon, we took off to our new city...

"WAKE-UP! WE'RE HERE!" Hope yelled while whispering.

She was the master of yelling while whispering.

I groaned and got up. Then realization hit me. I quickly looked out the window. It was beautiful!

We landed and got our luggage. Then, we took a cab to our apartment. Our goal was to quickly started unpacking and unboxing. The earlier we finish the house, the earlier we got to start our jobs.

Our apartment had 3 bedrooms, meaning we each had our own rooms. First, we all worked on our rooms. By the end of the day, it looked some-what finished.

I made ramen noodles for dinner. We face-timed our parents while eating. They felt uneasy but were glad we were fine and happy.

By the end of the week, we were finally unpacked and our apartment was finally ready. 

Now, time to deal with our jobs...
