41. Delivery
Damnit! Taehyung cursed under his breath, trying not to pull his hair out. He was becoming restless as each day passed by without a word from his predator.
Was J unsatisfied with his performance, hence the radio silence? Taehyung didn't know what to expect from somebody who had been messing with his head a few times. J instigated this whole deal, so why bail out now? Taehyung had more questions than answers as he stared at the ceiling in his room.
Taehyung did not want to make the next move, or else he would reek of desperation. Perhaps, he was a masochist missing his master. And that master had abandoned him.
The phone rang, and it wasn't him.
A woman spoke. "Hello, Sir. You have a package waiting for you at the lobby."
"A package? But I'm not expecting anything. Are you sure it's for me?"
"Yes, sir. It's addressed to you," the concierge confirmed.
"All right, I'll come down shortly. Thank you."
He rarely received gifts at his Gangnam residence as most, if not all the mailers intended for the members, normally go to BigHit's main office building. Only a few people knew where he lived, much less send him things to his apartment.
Taehyung went to the lobby and picked up the parcel at the front desk. There were no markings or postage labels to indicate where the package had originated.
"Anyway, did this come from the mail?" Taehyung asked the receptionist.
"No, it was dropped off, Sir. Mail goes straight to your lockbox."
"Did you see the person who left this?"
"No, Sir. I just started my shift and there's a note here telling me to inform you."
"Oh, okay. Thanks," Taehyung said as he returned to his suite.
Upon arriving, he ripped the brown packet open and pulled out a small box. In it was a weird-looking object that on closer inspection, looked like only one person could have sent it.
