It's been quite some time since I've posted on Wattpad (you can find me quite active on Threads, however! Nearly daily posting! @ haileymorrisonwrites).

The sequel Annulet, as of now, is still currently on hiatus (although I'm coming back VERY soon!). I have some important information to update you all with regarding the future of A Curious Case of Plagium.

As you may have known, Plagium won a Wattys back in 2022 (I can hardly believe it's already been two years!), in the Mystery/Thriller category...

...AND won the animation adaptation prize!

So, I'm sure you all were expecting to hear news on the progress of how the adaptation is going!

Well...it's not.

Unfortunately, the contract ended without the adaptation being created, as I was aware was a large possibility.

Although I am very sad about that outcome, I understand that's how life goes — when life gives you lemons, and all that. ;)

In fact, taking the lemon parable in a literal sense, lemonade has indeed been made. There are some exciting things that have come out of this! "What is that?" you may be asking, with growing curiosity.

Plagium-related content has been rather lacking on my social media fronts due to an exclusivity clause that the adaptation offer required. This meant that, with the exception of advertisements, I could not post more Plagium content outside of Wattpad or WEBTOONS (which is fair enough!) sites. Due to this, certain spin-off ideas could not come to light.

FIRST:
I'm currently working on a spin-off animated reels series that will be going up in the near future! I have the storyboard and plot sorted out, and am waiting on getting audio recorded and mixed. AND SECOND
With the exclusivity now over, I can post Plagium elsewhere online...which brings me to the thing I am most excited to announce...

A Curious Case of Plagium will be released for sale via Kickstarter!!!

"But, wait!" you may be crying out, "What does this mean?"

This means that you can own a physical copy of Plagium soon! I plan on launching it with general retail and online.

"What's Kickstarter?"

Well, dear readers, Kickstarter is a crowdfunding campaign site where you all can join in to help make new things a reality! In this case, you'd be helping to launch Plagium into a purchasable book! :D

Think of it as a pre-order where you get exclusive bonuses as a thank you. More on that later.

What's been done so far?

-Registered the story to give it a chance to make it to public libraries (Which reminds me: request the book to your local library when it releases!! The more requests, the higher the chance your library will carry it!)

-Revised the current book and added a few more scenes

-Redrawn almost all chapter art

-Included 10 additional illustrious for Act II of the book

-Readied book for printing and production!

That's right — the art has been redone to reflect the latest character designs (see what they look like now in the Kickstarter picture above). And take a look at the updated cover below!

So, what's this about a fancy pre-order? In exchange for preordering a copy of the book (be it ebook or physical), you also get bonus gifts depending on the tier you choose.

Follow the project so you can know right when the campaign launches!

Spread the word! This launch will only be able to happen if the goal reaches.

As we're rolling into January, I plan on resuming writing, which means that Annulet should resume posting either February or March 2025!
