Article #1: Grover's Development Throughout The Series

Grover's Development Throughout The Series

We first meet the lovable satyr in "The Lightning Thief," where he was introduced as Percy's best--and only--friend at Yancy Academy. When Percy is thrown into the mythical world, Grover is right by his side as he grieves over the supposedly dead Sally Jackson.

Throughout the Percy Jackson series, we see Grover grow and accomplish things even his fellow satyrs hadn't been able to do. Such as finding the lost god, Pan, and becoming a Lord of the Wild. With his and Percy's empathy link, one would believe that no matter what, they'd stick together, right?

Evidently not in the majority of the fandom's eye. After the Heroes of Olympus series, many fans seemed to forget about the enchilada loving Lord of the Wild. Many people replace his role as Percy's best friend with Jason Grace.

Now, Jason is a great guy, and a wonderful friend of Percy's. Despite that, they don't have the same kind of relationship. Most likely, Percy and Jason were great friends, they simply lacked the bond between Percy and Grover.

We see Grover a few times in that series, but beyond that he isn't really mentioned. Many don't even think about what Grover would have endured when Percy fell into Tartarus, seeing as many seem to forget about their empathy link.

With all of this information, I have one question for the fandom. What happened to Grover?
