Knowing Annabeth, Percy knew she wouldn't give up she because of a hailstorm. I mean, why should she? It's just little pieces of what feels like pebbles shooting at you; no biggie.

"Percy. It's not that bad. We can bring an umbrella," Annabeth shrugged.

"Of course we can; if we want to ruin our only umbrella." Percy muttered.

They had been living in an apartment together since they got engaged six months ago. Being decently young at the age of nineteen, Percy decided it would be decently timed. I mean, they weren't too young for an engagement, but they weren't waiting so long that they could risk not having the chance.

Annabeth scowled and dug through the small closet near the front door. "We have three umbrellas, Percy!"

"Grab the strongest one." Percy said bitterly, grabbing his coat.

Annabeth frowned and grabbed the heavy-duty black umbrella. She was determined to get to work, but their one car was in the shop; their jobs were right next to each other. So, when Annabeth had important documents due, she didn't let anything stand in her way.

But she dragged Percy along with her.

"What's due today, again?" Percy asked, hoping to delay her.

"The designs for the new house they're building. Now, hurry up! I need to get to the building on time, and don't you forget you have work too."

"But it's not necessary for me to go to work today! I have a schedule, and today is an off day, you know!" Percy objected.

"Percy Jackson, you are twenty years old, you need to be responsible." Annabeth scolded, pulling him out the door while he pulled on his left shoe.

"I was responsible when I was thirteen years old, and I still am! Don't deny it," he added as Annabeth opened her mouth to object.

Percy yelped as he got hit in the face by tons of hail. Annabeth had moved the umbrella from above them and strolled away from him.

Percy rolled his eyes, following his fiancée with a scowl. Annabeth looked over her shoulder with a grin, "Hurry up, slowpoke!"

Percy grinned and took off towards her, and she let out a squeal. Percy wrapped his arms around her waist and grinned.

"Whatcha doin', Seaweed Brain?" Annabeth asked as he readjusted the umbrella. A piece of hail ripped through the fabric and hit the top of her head.

Percy chuckled and flicked it off her head. "Revenge of the hail. It doesn't like how you underestimated it, Wise Girl."

"Oh, shut up, would you?"

"Never. Now, go hand in your sketches. I'll go get some food. Meet you back here in thirty?" Percy asked, glaring at the umbrella while hail tore through the fabric.

"Okay." Annabeth kissed him and hurried into the building, and Percy stared at her for a moment.

He was just glad she got the job of her dreams, even if he was stuck in the nearby Walmart.
