Percabeth Wedding

"How much longer is this going to take?" I groaned.

Aphrodite glared at me in the mirror.

"It'll go faster if you stop complaining, dear."

She turned her attention back to my hair. She poked around a little bit more, and then shoved another bobby pin into my head, scratching my scalp.

"Ow!" I yelped, glaring at the goddess of beauty in the mirror. She just gave me a sweet smile in return. I groaned in response. Who knew it took so long to get ready on your wedding day!

"Alright, done with your hair! Now, on to makeup!" Aphrodite said, gleefully clapping her hands together.

"Ok, take it easy, alright? Keep it natural." I said, making sure she knew what I had said.

"Yeah, yeah," Aphrodite said, dismissively waving her hand as she turned to the makeup table.

I gulped. I just wanted it to be perfect.

About an hour later, and a whole lot of complaints, Aphrodite finished my makeup.

She then turned to my bridesmaids, Piper, Hazel, Thalia, Rachel, and Reyna, and just gave them her blessing. Immediately, their hair and makeup transformed. All that was left to do was to change.

"Alright, ladies, I will be right back! I'm going to go grab your dresses!" Aphrodite swirled around and marched out of the room.

Before any of us could blink, she was back, bustling in with five bags on her arms. Piper moved forward to help her mom hang up the dresses on the rack.

Aphrodite then handed each girl her dress and ushered them into separate rooms to change.

I stood there, waiting for them to come back. Aphrodite had made sure that I couldn't look in the mirror until the end. She bustled around my dress, making sure that it was ready.

Then, my friends came back, and my heart swelled. We had managed to find beautiful aqua/turquoise bridesmaid's dresses. Aphrodite had taken them after they had returned after being altered. She said that she would add something that would "make them the best dresses to fit the theme."

And they were. Each dress was a floor-length gown, with a one-shoulder top. In the middle, where the fabric banded around the girls' waists, a starfish was pinned to the dress. Pearls surrounded the starfish, making a simple, yet stunning, addition to the dresses.

"I had fun creating those," Aphrodite said softly. I turned to look at her.

Grover poked his head in. "Ceremony starts in thirty minutes. Chiron wants everyone in the wedding party to meet in here."

Aphrodite nodded, then shooed Grover out. "We've got a bride to dress!"

I could hear his hooves hurriedly trotting down the hall. I couldn't help but smile at him. He's such a goof sometimes.

Aphrodite pulled he dress off the hangar and walked toward me. I gulped. I was about to become a bride. The moment I had been dreaming about my entire life had finally come.

I followed Aphrodite into the dressing room to change. Now I was really appreciating the fact that there weren't any mirrors.

I slipped out of my t-shirt and shorts and slipped into the dress. I held it up on my chest as Aphrodite pulled the laces tight. A few final adjustments and we were done.

I stepped out of the changing room, and I could see my friends trying to not cry. I was fighting back tears myself.

"Alright, just one more thing," Aphrodite said softly, pulling me toward the makeup table one more time.

I sat down or tried to, as best I could. Aphrodite pulled out the veil from a box and something else that I couldn't quite catch. I felt as a weight was placed on my head, and then the veil was slipped into my hair. I stood up and turned around.

"Annabeth, you look stunning. Percy's going to be drooling when he sees you," Piper said, her multicolored eyes wide with excitement. Her inner Aphrodite was starting to show.

At that moment, the boys began to file into the room. I got many more compliments from them about how I looked. Then someone tapped my shoulder.

Grover stood behind me with a mirror in his hand. "Lady Aphrodite told me to give this to you. Said you might want to see what everyone's been talking about."

I took the mirror and held it up. I almost couldn't believe what I was seeing. I had a natural smokey eye, with just the right amount of blush. I also had on a light pink lip gloss. Then I noticed the crown.

It was studded with pearls and some kind of aquamarine gem. It wasn't big or flashy. It was simple, but at the same time, it was gorgeous.

At that moment, the doors burst open. Everyone stopped what they were doing to stare at the door.

"Relax, everyone! The Super-Sized McShizzle has arrived, and might I add, with a very important necessity."

I laughed at Leo a little bit. Of course, he would want to make a big entrance and steal a little of the spotlight. He walked into the room, followed by Katie Gardener and her mom, Demeter. They immediately started going around, handing out bouquets and corsages.

Demeter came up to me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I don't know exactly what they were, but there was a lot of blue and white flowers mixed into the bunch.

She smiled at me and turned to follow her daughter out of the room.

"Alright, everyone! The ceremony is starting! Let's head out!" I don't know who yelled it, but it definitely caught everyone's attention.

Thalia squeezed my shoulder reassuringly.

Aphrodite called over my bride's maids and told them to lift up the dress and train because we'd be walking from the Big House to the pier.

"Alright, honey, let's go," the goddess said to me, holding out her hand. I grasped it and began walking.

It felt like an eternity, but we finally reached the tent Leo's siblings had set up for the wedding participants.

Inside, I found my dad, my brothers Bobby and Matthew, and Leo's little brother, Harley. I noticed Bobby and Matthew looking a little miffed with their flower baskets. I assured them that they were the perfect choices for the job

As soon as my dad saw me, his eyes filled with tears.

"My little girl, all grown up," he said, stepping forward to give me a hug.

The wedding party went smoothly, and at last, it was my turn.

My dad stepped up and held out his arm. I slipped my arm around his, and together we stepped out of the tent.

As soon as I saw my Seaweed Brain, I felt like my legs were turning to jelly. I wanted to bolt down the aisle. Only my dad's reassuring grip on my arm kept me from flying headlong into his arms.

At last, we made it to the end of the aisle, and my dad transferred my hand into Percy's. As I stepped up to the altar, I could see the joy in Percy's eyes.

Chiron went through the ceremony, and my brain kicked into autopilot. I said my lines, surprised that my voice sounded strong and clear when my mind was off in the stars.

But when it came to the final words, my mind came flying back to reality.

"Do you, Annabeth Chase, take Percy Jackson to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Chiron said, looking at me with a gleam in his eye.

"I do," I said confidently.

"Well, then, may I introduce you to Mr. and Mrs. Percy Jackson!" When Chiron said that, the whole camp erupted into cheers.

"You may kiss your bride, Percy," Chiron said to Percy.

I closed my eyes and drank in the bliss of the moment as Percy's lips connected with mine.

Then, he gripped my hand, gave me his trademark grin, and together we ran down the aisle, our friends close behind.

~~~~~~~~~~•~~~~~~~~~~
The reception was amazing. We had converted the dining pavilion into a reception area, meaning we had pushed the tables to the sides to create a wide-open space for dancing.
When dinner was served, a big toast was lifted up for the newly weds. The gift table was piled high with boxes and bags, all colorfully wrapped and stuffed.
When it came time for the Father-Daughter dance, my dad and I  took command of the dance floor.
"You look absolutely stunning, Annabeth. Just like your mother," My dad whispered into my ear.
I just buried my  face in my dad's shoulder in response.
"I couldn't be prouder," he continued. "I can't wait to see what the future holds."
When the Father daughter dance was finished, Percy stepped up to the dance floor.
He gave me that smirk that I loved so much, and my heart felt like it was melting right down into my ballet flats. (I would not tolerate heels) I had no idea what I did to deserve him.
He took my hand, and pulled me close to him.
Perfect by Ed Sheeran began playing as Percy began slow dancing with me.
I found a love for me
Darling, just dive right in and follow my lead
Well, I've found a girl, beautiful and sweet
Oh, I never knew you were the someone waiting for me
I started singing along, unable to help myself.
Cause we were just kids when we fell in love
Not knowing what it was
I will not give you up this time
Darling just kiss me slow
Your heart is all I own
And in your eyes you're holding mine
He silenced me with a kiss, and then took over singing in an off key voice. But it just made it all the more special for me. He was trying.
Baby I'm dancing in the dark
With you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass
Listening to our favorite song
When you said you looked a mess
I whispered underneath my breath,
But you heard it
You look perfect tonight.
The rest of the song finished, and our friends flooded the dance floor. We danced until we couldn't anymore, and our feet felt like they were gonna fall off.
Then Poseidon pulled me aside.
"If you're going to be married to my son, then you might find some new abilities quite useful," he said with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.
I was really confused, but decided to worry about it later.
The next event was the garter and bouquet toss.
I called all of the single ladies to come up to the dance floor. As they were coming up, I caught Jason's eye and winked. He nodded, and a smile began to form on his lips. He began to slowly move forward, Percy at his side.
"Alright, ready?" I yelled, looking over my shoulder.
"Yeah!" The ladies chorused.
"One, two, three!" I yelled, dipping the bouquet up and down. On three, I pretended to throw it, but turned around in one smooth motion. I walked through the crowd towards Piper, who was standing there looking confused.
I noticed Jason kneeling behind her, and I couldn't stop the grin.
"Here, this belongs to you," I said, handing her the bouquet.
"What?" She asked, confusion swimming in her multicolored eyes.
"Turn around," I said loudly. She looked behind her, and immediately her hands flew up to her face as pure shock replaced the confusion.
"Piper," Jason began. "We've through thick and thin together. I couldn't imagine myself with anyone else. It would be my pride and honor to take care and provide for you as your husband. Will you marry me?" He held out the ring, a beautiful golden band with a single diamond in the middle.
I looked at Piper. Tears were streaming down her face.
"Well?" I said, nudging her in the side. "Don't keep the man waiting."
She nodded, and everyone burst into cheers as Jason stood up and slipped the ring onto Piper's finger.
Percy came over and wrapped an arm around my shoulder.
"Thanks for going along with it. It means so much to them," he said, kissing my temple.
I just nodded, overcome with emotion as I watched the happy couple.
It finally came time for us to leave for our honeymoon. Percy and I ducked into separate bathrooms to change, and then we met up to run through the fire crackers.
We made a mad dash for it, and jumped in the car.
"Argus, take us to the airport!"
I started shaking with excitement.
"Well, Mrs. Jackson? How about we see what's waiting on the other side? Shall we?" Percy said, mischief glowing in his beautiful sea green eyes.
"We shall," I replied, barely able to conceal the excitement at what the future would hold.
