(Annabeths pov)

I hate being in the Athens cabin sometimes. Don't tell my mom I said that. Or do. I don't care after the war of the seven. (A/N I forgot what it was called sorry 😭)

It's just so... stifling. Always an air of superiority and pressure to be the best. That's why I love the Poseidon cabin. The soft sea breeze even though we're miles away, the relaxed "you do you" atmosphere. I wish I could go but Percy is round Sallys, visiting baby 'stelle. She's so fricking cute. Anyway, I digress, I should probably get on with some final papers for New Rome.

I've already been accepted of course (and filled out the forms 5 times over) but Percy forgot to do his and brought them to me at the last minute. I'm finally starting to crack down on the confusing statements when I hear a soft chuckle. A chuckle I recognise all too well.

"Seaweed brain?" I smile. "Where are you dumbass?"

My eyes swept the cabin in confusion the only person in there was me as all my siblings were down in archery.

"Woaaaah, thought you were supposed to be the smart one, owl head. It's an an iris message" I heard Percy say through laughter.

Fuck, I forgot about that with my head spinning from that paperwork and my excitement of seeing him. I'd been at my dad's for nearly a month, trying to mend my relationships with that part of my family. A whole month without Percy. Worse than Tartarus tbh./j
"Oh, what do you want asshole." I smiled
"Get dressed nice, I'm taking you out wise girl," I heard him smirk  "Not that you don't always look nice and in a romantic way like on a date I'm not gonna kill you. Well maybe with love"

I giggled at his awkwardness. Annabeth,  pull it together. You two have been dating for gods knows how long and since when do you giggle? Gods, I hate this boy sometimes.

"You dipshit, I'll see you soon" I grinned back while swiping my hand through the iris message. Oh, I have to get up now, great, thanks Perce. (a/n sarcasm)

I rolled off my bed, thumping onto the floor and banging my elbow, earning a surprised shout of "everything ok?" from Will next door.

"I'm fine will!" I reply "Just fell off my bed"

"Be more careful!" he yells back in response "A Demeter kid broke his arm doing that last week"

"Ok, will" I snort, his medical anxiety is so funny sometimes.

I get up and try and find something actually nice in my wardrobe. I eventually settle for some dungarees and a long sleeve shirt, with a comfy sweater over the top as its starting to get colder.

I sigh, it's pretty cute. I lay on my back and pick up my book. From what I could see in the iris message, Percy was around 10 minutes away which now means he'd be pretty much here. I'm pulling on a pair of battered docs when I hear a thump on the door, signalling Percy's arrival. I rush to the front door and fling it open, revealing Percy, his hair slightly dishevelled and his trademark grin plastered on his face.

"Hey wise girl!" he barely gets time to start before I interrupt him

"Come on, let's go! You've got me excited" I laugh, pulling him out the door.
