Samantha slid into the taxi and immediately pressed her lips against Lucas' cheek. She was beyond excited to visit the set of Anne With an E as she had grown up reading the anne of green gables series.
"Before we go, I want to thank you." Samantha smiled at the boy sat next to her. Lucas placed his hand in hers, tangling their fingers together and squeezing her palm.
"For what?" The actor questioned, his brows crinkling ever so slightly as he surveyed his girlfriend.
"For taking me to set. It's an actual dream, you're incredibly lucky and I just want to thank you for sharing it with me." Samantha looked at their hands quickly, scared she sounded too cheesy.
"You don't have to thank me." He smiled, gripping her hand. "I want you to experience everything with me, just how you let me walk into your life - especially with your siblings." A fond smile crept onto his face as he thought about the three other Cook's he had talked to.
"About my family," Samantha started and caused Lucas' eyebrows to crinkle slightly in fear of bad news. "They'd like to meet you. A-And I know it's soon," She started to explain as to not panic the boy. "And we can wait for when you come back after Christmas, but I just wanted to tell you. I don't really shut up about you, and well, neither does Ray, Charlie or Toby. Even on the phone, poor Dani has no idea who you are but you're all we talk about." The girl became aware she was gushing words out that Lucas didn't need to hear. She jammed her mouth shut and blushed harshly, only to receive an amused chuckle from her boyfriend.
"I would love to meet your family." He mumbled into her ear softly and let Samantha lean into him with a relieved sigh.

"You're aware that I'll let go of your hand as soon as I see Amybeth, right?" Lucas' girlfriend teased as they walked slowly across the frozen and muddy road, hands bundled together that swayed with the winter breeze.
Lucas fake pouted as he turned to Samantha and his nose crinkled slightly, a feature that the girl never missed. "But, it's too cold for my hand to be alone." He whined, a failed attempt to make sure her soft palm remained in his.
"Darling," Samantha's sarcasm cut through the chilly air. "They'll be plenty of cold hands then during filming." She countered back, mischievous eyes dancing with delight.
"Fine, but I want you to swear that you'll let me hold your hand any spare moment you have." Samantha sighed playfully, raking her brain for any poor excuse to disagree, as much as she did want to promise.
"Even when I'm eating?" She questioned and Lucas rolled his eyes at her love for food.
"It worked fine at the meal last week." Lucas shrugged with a smile proving that he was close to achieving his goal.
"Ugh, fine." Samantha mumbled, kicking a small rock off the road to emphasise her (fake) misery.
"Well, it can't be that bad," Lucas pointed out, noting the playful attitude his girlfriend wore. "You're holding it right now." He smirked, that gorgeous smirk that Samantha could not get used to.
Samantha bought Lucas' hand up to her mouth, and placed her lips softly against his skin. "I love you," She mumbled against his hand, letting her little act fade.
Lucas noticed they were nearing the set so stopped slightly and turned towards the girl. He let his hand fall from her lips but stepped closer to her, letting the warmth of both their bodies radiate against each other. Lucas breathed slightly and a white fog tickled Samantha's nose. Then, he leaned forward lovingly and placed his lips against hers.
"I love you too." He mumbled against her lips before retracting and placing them softly on her nose. Samantha giggled slightly and her red tinged skin from the chill of the air darkened into a brighter blush. "Now," Her boyfriend smiled brightly and they continued walking. "Welcome to the set of Anne With an E, season 2."
Samantha breathed in as her head turned towards the magnificent sight. She admired every inch of it with awe, it was truly magnificent, from the old looking houses to the real horses scraping the hooves in the hard dirt. Snow had landed in all the right places, and she was betting that the crew were thankful for the magical touch.
"This is, uh, just wow." Was all the amazed girl managed to breathe out. Lucas gave a small laugh and pulled Samantha closer to him as they began to walk through the small street. They were heading towards a set of trailers, that stood off the ground with steps leading up to the doors.
"Sam!?" The girl heard an excited voice as the couple came close to the rows of white rooms. Samantha smiled giddily as she noticed Amybeth, with an almost identical smile. Samantha glanced at her hand connected to Lucas' and hesitated to let go. So, Lucas let go for her.
The girl slightly jogged to Amybeth who was full-on running to reach the girl she had chatted to over the phone. When they reached each other, they were both pulled into an embrace.
"Oh my god, Sam! Lucas didn't say he was bringing you to set!" Amybeth gushed out as she moved away from the girl she thought she had overwhelmed.
"Oh he didn't?" Samantha raised her eyebrows and looked at Lucas who was awkwardly scratching his head whilst walking towards them. "It's been planned for quite a while." Samantha laughed, causing Amybeth to turn on Lucas.
"How could you keep this to yourself!? I officially do not trust you." Amybeth joked, poking her tongue out at the older boy. He chuckled with a roll of his eyes.
"Well, excuse me for thinking it would be nice to surprise you." Lucas shrugged.
"For that reason, I forgive you." Amybeth mumbled before she turned back to Samantha, who was still grinning. "Wow, I can't believe you're here, and you're so beautiful, oh my god! Lucas is extremely lucky."
"Neither can I, you're always on my TV and now you're right in front of me. And thank you, Amybeth, but I'm pretty sure I'm the lucky one." Samantha chuckled, looking at Lucas with a small blush.
"Honey, trust me. You're way out of his league." Amybeth winked cheekily before gesturing for the pair to follow her. "As much as I would love to keep you to myself..." The redhead trailed off as she walked next to Samantha. "I'm pretty sure Jacob would love to meet you, and we need to go to hair and makeup."
"I remember Jacob," Samantha recalled, thinking to one of the first phone calls she'd ever shared with Lucas. "He seemed sweet. And already? Well I can't wait to see the both of you in costume."
"I look like a dweeb." Lucas said flatly, causing both the girls to burst into laughter.
"That's because you are, babe." Samantha hummed, making Lucas nudge her shoulder slightly. She leaned into him slightly, savouring the moment as Amybeth walked along with them, smiling to herself at how cute they were.

The day had been even better than Samantha had imagined. Between their takes, Lucas and Amybeth would come straight to her, bright smiles on their faces. Lucas would kiss her quickly and Amybeth would hug her softly and get straight into talking again. Lucas, mainly, sat there and listened. He rubbed circles over Samantha's hand and never let go, just as she promised.
Samantha had also quickly come to like Jacob, who Lucas introduced her to, as well as another boy called Cory. The trio had talked for a solid hour whilst Lucas filmed before some girls came over, who Samantha recognised to play Diana Barry, Ruby Gillis, Tilly Boulter, Jane Andrews, Josie Pye and Prissy Andrews.
Samantha hadn't felt so overwhelmed meeting so many new people, each from different countries and exchanging numbers and instagrams. She wasn't sure she had met so many people in one day and even have the time to sit and watch a show being created.
"Hey, Samantha," Lucas whispered into the girl's ear so that she let her eyes fall open once more. It had been a very long day, and they had caught a cab just after midnight when Lucas was finished. Samantha removed herself from Lucas' chest as he stroked her hair softly. "We're home."
She nodded slowly, sliding towards the door and pushing it open with more effort than needed. Lucas followed her to her porch, a smile plastered on his face after watching her sleep against him the whole ride back.
"Thank you, for today. It was, uh, well I don't know what to say. It was one of the best days of my life. I met a lot of amazing people today, and saw you get to do something you love." Samantha mumbled as Lucas stepped close to her, their shoes rubbed together at how close he was. The girl raised her head to look in his eyes.
"Thank you for coming with me. Next time, we bring Emma, so that I can at least catch you alone for a bit." He smiled cheekily, letting his fingers slide down a strand of her brown hair.
"We both know you just want Emily to see everything, having me all to yourself is just a perk." Samantha giggled slightly but Lucas' eyebrows furrowed slightly.
"If I could, I'd spend every waking moment with you alone." His point emphasised how he missed being able to kiss her when they were together, because people had surrounded the pair all day. Samantha smiled softly and reached up to kiss Lucas softly and slowly. Passionately, she tangled her hands behind his neck and let him lean into her more. His own hands fumbled through her hair as Lucas tried to let his girlfriend know just how much he loved her.
And then a light switched on.
Samantha, immediately worried her dad would come out pulled away. She smiled nervously at Lucas who was breathless and suddenly feeling slightly overwhelmed. "Goodnight, Lucas." She whispered before turning slightly and walking towards her door.
"Wait!" Lucas hissed, trying not to be too loud. He grabbed her wrist roughly and spun her around so that she crashed into his body. Lucas didn't care as he placed his lips against hers one more time, nibbling at her bottom lip so that Samantha's eyes widened. He placed his hands on her hips and pulled them against him, causing Samantha to deepen the kiss into something she never imagined she would feel - lust.
"Lucas," She mumbled quietly, pulling away slightly but the boy couldn't control himself. "Lucas." She placed her palms on his cheeks and pulled his face away from hers. "We've got to stop, I can't-" She was stumbling over her own words as all she could look at were his lips, which were becoming a worrying addiction to the young girl. "I have to go." She managed to say so that Lucas chuckled quietly, moving his hands back up to her cheeks and running his thumbs across her skin.
"I know," He whispered and managed to peck her cheek quickly. "Goodnight, Samantha, I'll see you on Sunday."
"Goodnight, Lucas." She whispered, but he was already walking down the porch, stuffing his hands in his pockets.
