A/N: hey readers I'm doing this from my phone but I haven't updated in awhile and I feel bad, I have like 4 chapters ready so I will try to get better at updating. So sorry but here ya go

Chapter 10: Golbats attack

*Mo's POV*

Mitch places ladders and torches as we make our deeper into the ravine. I gave Jason a stone pickaxe so he could mine himself some iron. Jerome and Mitch already both have iron picks while I have a stone and iron one. We mine ores as we make our way down but so far we only found coal and iron. Jason would sometimes use the jetpack on his space suit to fly across the ravine to get the ores on the other side.

Eventually we reached the bottom and ventured deeper inside a cave system, Mitch leaving a trail of torches behind us so we can find our way back out. We saw a glow at the end of the cave system and we walked towards it. It was a large pool of lava, and across it was diamonds and gravel.

"Diamonds!" Jerome cries.

"And gravel. I can finally get some flint." Mitch says.

"How do we get across?" I ask.

"I know!" Jason cries and he turns his jetpack on and flies over the lava. He pulls out some cobblestone and begins making a bridge so we can walk across.

He finishes building the bridge and we walk across. "Thanks Jason!" Mitch and Jerome say in usion.

"Jinx!" Mitch cries.

"Nooooooo!" Jerome whines.

"That three Jerome." Mitch says with a grin.

"I won't get to five!" The bacca snaps. But once he's sees his friends grin he too let's out a grin.

Jason and I laugh and Jerome runs over to the diamonds and Mitch to the gravel. Mitch pulls out a shovel and starts shoveling away.

"Chop chop chop." He says happily as the gravel disappears leaving flint in its place.

"Mitch! I found 6 diamonds!"

"Yay! Now you can repair Betty."

"Yup!"

I make a crafting table and start making some furnaces so we can smelt our ores. I make 4 furnaces, one for each of us and place coal inside each of them. I place my iron in mine first. I look around for Jason he should smelt his stuff while we wait for Mitch an Jerome but he's not here.

"Jason?!" I call.

No response and Mitch and Jerome look over.

"What's up?" Jerome asks.

"Where'd Jason go?" I reply.

Mitch and Jerome look around. 'He was just here a second ago, where'd he wander off too?

*Jason's POV*

I wandered farther into the cave while I waited for Mitch and Jerome to finish mining the stuff they needed. I came to a dead end that was blocked off by cobblestone. 'Maybe some water came in contact with lava' I thought. But I didn't hear any water. Maybe someone placed them here. Suddenly I heard the screech of a bat from the other side of the wall. A Dylon! I call bats Dylon, I used to have one for a pet. This one was trapped. I take my pick and mine through the cobblestone, three blocks up and two going across.

What starts flying out is not a regular cave bat, but zubats and Golbats. I stumble back and run back towards the others.

*Mo's POV*

I hear a yelp from farther in the cave and see Jason running towards us.

"There you are!" Jerome calls.

"Look out!" Jason cries.

Mitch and Jerome look confused and then we hear a screech and see a bunch of zubats and Golbats flying down the cave at us. The Golbats flew in front of us while the zubats blocked our bridge.

We all threw out our pixelmon at the same time. Mitch's squirtle, Jerome's tepig, Jason's treeko and my bulbasaur all popped out of their pokeballs and stood by our sides. We all pulled out weapons as well. Mitch and I a bow, Jason a sword and Jerome Betty.

The Golbats started flapping their wings creating a strong whirlwind. Our pixelmon clung to our legs trying to hang on but the wind was to strong and they blew across the lava pool, when I turn around to make sure none of them fell in the lava I see our bridge has been covered by lava, there was no way to cross.

"Bulba!" My bulbasaur cried.

The zubats started to swarm them and the pixelmon were forced to worry about themselves while we had to worry about the Golbats. But, I thought you couldn't kill a pixelmon with a weapon, can you?

"What do we do?" Jason asks

"Don't let it bite you." I reply. Golbat is a poison type and in its fangs is poison, which it uses to paralyze whatever it's attacking. Jason should be ok because of his spacesuit and Jerome has a lot of fur, but Mitch and I didn't have any protection, we'd have to be careful.

"Fair enough. Now let's kick some bat!" Mitch cried.

There were 8 Golbats and 4 of us so 2 for each of us to deal with. (A/N: yay for math! Sorry...) 2 charge at Jason and he turns his jetpack on and flies up causing the Golbats to hit the wall. Jason snickers. Jerome is swinging Betty and the Golbats are keeping a distance clearly not wanting to get hit.  One charges at me and I duck letting it fly over head. Mitch had out his bow away and pulled out an iron sword and was slashing trying to keep the Golbats at bay.

We continue ducking and avoiding Golbats when we hear a cry from behind us.

"Squirtle! Squirt!" Mitch's squirtle cried.

We all turn to look and see two zubats have lifted squirtle into the air. My bulbasaur used vine whip and grabbed squirtles ankle to keep it from being lifted higher. Treeko and tepig each were on bulbasaurs side keeping it from being lifted into the air.

"Squirtle!" Mitch cried as he pulled out his bow and shot at the zubats, some how hitting one and causing it to disappear. Dead.

The other zubat dropped squirtle in surprise and bulbasaur carefully lowered it down, the pixelmon were safe.

The Golbats saw their chance while we were distracted. They screeched and surrounded Mitch who was still trying to see if his squirtle was ok. They flew around him in a blur making it hard to see what was happening.

"Mitch!" Jerome cried.

"Jerome! He-" he was cut off by a wing attack to the head knocking him out.

The Golbats screeched and lifted him and flew deeper into the cave before Jason, Jerome or I could blink.

"Mitch!" Jerome cried again and began taking off down the cave. I quickly grab his arm. "Let me go! He needs help!"

"Jerome," I said trying to remain calm. "We can't just run in there after him, we need the others."

Jerome looks at me, eyes full of worry. For a bacca he was very chill lax and calm but when his friend was in trouble he was afraid and worried. Ready to do what he must to help. He relaxes and I release his arm.

"How do we get help?" Jerome asked. "We're stuck down here and it'll take awhile to climb back up."

"I can help us there," Jason says. "I can fly across and get them."

"Be careful," I tell him.

Jason nods and flies over the pool of lava allowing his treeko to jump on his shoulder. He flew down the cave and was soon out of sight. Jerome walks over to the crafting bench, fixes Betty and sits down. I sit next to him I case he tries to run off on his own again. All we can do now is wait and hope Jason finds the others quickly.
