Met over an MMO!
(Before I officially start this chapter, I want to apologize for lying to you about that update. I'm gonna try to make this a really good chapter!)
"OMG ARE YOU AN IDIOT YOU JUST GOT ME KILLED!" Nathaly screamed at the top of her lungs while pounding on the desk her computer sits on.
She blew a strand of hair that came out of her bun, aggravated that her bumbling teammate chose to intercept her arrow that would've killed that boss.
"Yo, uh... Are we gonna go to a new dungeon or what?" The guy said.
She was pissed. "No, Raymond, we're NOT going to because you screwed up 4 other ones before that! I'm finding a new healer because you're a sorry excuse for one!" She huffed and disconnected from the chat.
She groaned and smacked her head down beside her computer. Where the hell was she going to find another healer? It's not like they fall out of trees or something.
She glanced at the screen and gasped, a character had literally fallen out of a tree with a familiar-looking staff.
She set her headset back on and took control of her character again. She wakes towards the person who was carrying a healing staff, coincidentally enough.
"Hey..." Nathaly said cautiously.
"Hi!" The feminine voiced squeaked over the line with an obvious amount of excitement.
She was taken aback. Was this girl new to the game?
"I was wondering, are you a new healer? That's a healer staff you're carrying so I thought-"
"I'M LILLITH!" She shrieked over the headset.
Nathaly winced and replied, "I'm Poppy." She lied because revealing your true self over the Internet is dangerous. This could be a 45 year old perv using a voice box to sound her age, or something like that."
Lillith babbled on. "So I got this game yesterday because a whole lot of my guy friends had it so I wanted to try it out, ya know? I was really excited to make new friends and heal people and go on all these quests I just can't help being so-"
"Hold on a minute!" Nathaly interrupted. She took off her headset and rubbed her temples, there's no way this could be a guy, this seems too much like an actual girl.
She put it back on. "Would you like to be... My healer for this dungeon I'm going to?" Nathaly said hesitantly, afraid she was going to go all chipmunk mad on her again.
She was wrong, shockingly. "Yeah, sounds cool. When do we go?" She asked nonchalantly as if the whole rant she went on didn't happen.
She was surprised, to say the least. "Uh, right now if you're ready."
"Sick!" Lillith exclaimed. "Let's go!"
