A few days later...

Ulrich, Mira, Robert, Cole, Risa, and Yukiko are currently having lunch together.

Cole: "So uh... it's just us for Rank 4?"

Risa: "Sadly, yes. Everyone else had plans are we're lucky I'm here. Mom needed one of us to run errands with her and William gladly bit the bullet."

Yukiko: "I-I heard Anthony and Roy got grounded as well."

Ulrich: "And thus we've been hit with our greatest challenge yet."

Robert: "And it won't have a pretty ending."

The three ID Glove users head inside.

Mira: "This won't end well."

The others insert their ID Cards.

A short while later...

Everyone is currently surfing towards the Theta server, home of Rank 4.

Ulrich: "S-So wh-what does Theta look like?"

Robert: "Watch!"

Their boards are tipping forward.

Mira: "Wait, underwater?!"

They slip under the ocean's surface, but they're still breathing.

Ulrich: "How and why?!"

Cole: "Walker thought an underwater server would be cool."

Mira: "And make half of us panic?!"

Yukiko: "I didn't."

They're able to see an underwater city just ahead.

Risa: "Come on. We're almost there."

The second they arrive, they hop off their boards.

Mira: "So where's our daily dose of torture?"

Cole: "Just follow me."

They head into town.

Ulrich: "This is going to end up killing me, isn't it?"

Yukiko: "Doubt it! You two are crazy well at adapting!"

Mira and Ulrich awkwardly stare at each other.

Ulrich/ Mira: "If you say so."

They press onward.

A good while later...

The group is currently traversing through a complex of brightly colored coral reefs in search of Rank 4.

Cole: "Come out, come out wherever you are!"

Risa: "That won't get the boss to come to us."

Cole: "I can at least try. Better than nothing."

Mira puts on her monocle.

Mira: "But we can't be too far from the arena."

The path ahead grows wider and wider.

Risa: "Easily. If this doesn't scream of a boss fight, I don't know what does."

They move past several coral branches to find themselves in front of a large tower in the middle of a clearing.

Robert: "Bingo!"

They rush up to the tower to hear the cries of a large bird atop the tower.

Ulrich: "So it's up there?"

Yukiko: "Y-Yep!"

They head inside.

Mira: "Well, I hope you guys can keep up."

They start heading up.

A short while later...

They're almost at the top of the tower.

Cole: "Let's make this phoenix pay!"

The second they arrive, the sounds of wing flaps begins to echo.

Mira: "Any info to go off of?"

Risa: "Water phoenix."

A blue bird with water drizzling from it's wings is hovering above them.

Ulrich: "Glad to hear it!"

Everyone readies their weapons as the water around them spreads out, trapping them in a bubble of air.

Robert: "Okay um... this is already a bad sign."

A thin layer of water covers the floor.

Yukiko: "A very bad sign!"

Ulrich creates some drones around him as Cole readies his cannon.

Mira: "Let's see how Silver stacks up against Bronze!"

Pillars of water erupt from the ground, splitting up the group.

Robert: "Great! Are you guys alright?!

Ulrich: "I ain't losing HP!"

The pillars die out as the boss let's out an ear bleeding screech, revealing that the group is completely disconnected, no one is anywhere near another.

Yukiko: "Come on guys!"

Cole readies a blast from his cannon as Robert assumes a defensive stance.

Cole: "Robert, can you handle the wall solo?"

The water is beginning to freeze, but isn't getting anywhere near Cole.

Robert: "At least for a bit!"

The boss sends it's quills flying towards the two with a torrent of water behind them, but Risa and Yukiko protect them.

Risa: "This thing packs a punch!"

Ulrich keeps creating bombs as Mira analyzes the enemy.

Mira: "This'll be tricky."

The boss goes straight for Ulrich.

Ulrich: "Oh no you don't!"

He builds a wall to shield him from the attack.

Mira: "Are you okay?!"

Ulrich: "Couldn't be better!"

The boss tries to get Cole.

Cole: "Not so fast!"

Cole hits it in the face, sending it flying towards Robert as he continues to create the wall.

Risa: "Heads up!"

Risa tries to kick it out of the way, but the bird only grabs her by the leg with it's beak.

Yukiko: "Risa!"

Her HP is dropping at a rapid rate.

Robert: "Hold on! We're comi-"

More water erupts from the ground, completely trashing Robert and Cole.

Mira: "Ah crap! Guys!"

The other three manage to dodge the attack, but Risa is KO'd.

Yukiko: "Oh no!"

Cole and Robert try to get back on their feet.

Cole: "Come one, we can do-"

The boss scoops them up and tosses them out of the arena.

Mira: "Dammit!"

It's left to just the three of them.

Ulrich: "Let's see about this!"

Ulrich tosses several bombs at the boss as Mira and Yukiko make some distance from it.

Mira: "Get back!"

Ulrich rushes towards them after he runs out of bombs, doing a number to the boss' HP.

Yukiko: "Wh-What do we do now?! We lost half of the group!"

The boss splits Mira from Ulrich and Yukiko.

Ulrich: "Mira!"

Mira: "I'm okay!"

They need to destroy it's HP fast, or else they lose.

Ulrich: "Yukiko! We need to Bio-Link!"

Yukiko: "H-Huh?!"

Mira is too far for them to Bio-Link and she can't even get close to the thing.

Ulrich: "You and me! We can handle this!"

Mira: "Just do it! I can't dodge forever!"

Ulrich holds his rm out for a Bio-Link.

Ulrich: "Let's do this!"

Yukiko swipes her card, swirling the two in a mix of light blue and black light.

Ulrich/ Yukiko: "We've got one shot."

They rush up to the boss at blistering speeds after their fusion, several bombs forming along their limbs.

Ulrich/ Yukiko: "And we'll make it count!"

They slug the boss in the face with a series of explosions following behind it, completely taking the boss' attention.

Mira: "They're fast!"

They keep barraging it with explosive kick after explosive punch.

Ulrich/ Yukiko: "You aren't going to beat us!"

They cover their arm in even more explosives.

Ulrich/ Yukiko: "It's over!"

They shove their arm down it's throat before making it explode before Bio-Link ends.

Yukiko: "Wh-Whoa..."

Ulrich and Mira bounce up to Lv27.

Mira: "Nice one guys!"

Mira sends a message to the others.

Ulrich: "(blushing) Th-Thanks..."

They notice the time as they see that the others have logged out.

Mira: "We'd better get going!"

Ulrich: "Oh shit! See ya tomorrow guys!"

They frantically log out...
