The dark puppet

A night passed by as Jack and Pitch stood in the nightmare palace. Jack stared at the cages filled with baby tooth fairies. But his mind was to numb to their desperate yelping.

    "Frost, come here." Pitch says.

Jack turned, walking towards Pitch. Pitch seemed to be bathing in his triumph, but at the same time he seemed oddly concerned of what might happen next. Just as Jack stood in front of Pitch, a sharp ringing flushed into his head, making Jack double over with his hands covering the internal screech.

    "Ugh!" Jack shouted. "No!"

Pitch chuckled. "Didn't think you would succumb so easily, Frost." Pitch said with a tone of pure wickedness. Jack struggled.

"What? Why? Why am I doing this?" Jack asked, his eyes slowly fading to violet. His blue eyes were still nowhere in sight. Jack felt his heart become heavy as he saw he was in Pitch's lair.

"I see you figured out where you are?" Pitch asked. "Poor Winter Spirit." Pitch punched Jack in the face, chuckling with delight.

Pitch gripped Jack's hair, pulling his head up to face him. "Oh, the sad sight of a struggling spirit. It warms my heart. Didn't you forget? The guardians casted you out." He said softly.

Jack felt the darkness slowly creeping back into his body. Jack was fighting it as hard as he could, but the light was being crushed by the dark. Jack's violet eyes were slowly becoming the dark red of the murderous doll. He stood up straight, blood coming out of the side of his mouth from the punch.

"Welcome back, Nightmare." Pitch said, taking his seat on his throne.

   Jack nodded. "Nightmare?" He asks.

Pitch made a face of realization and smiled. "Why of course. Nightmare should be the name. Jack Nightmare." Pitch says. "You like it?"

Jack shrugged. "If you like it, then that shall be my name, Master." He says.

  Jack!

He wrinkled his forehead, shooting his head to the ceiling. "Did you hear that?"

Pitch shrugged. "Probably the guardians looking for their precious Jack Frost." Pitch said with an unpleasant tone.

"Are we above the lake? My lake?" Jack asked.

Pitch nodded. "Well not above, but we are near."

"Can I go check it out, Master?" Jack asked.

Pitch shrugged. "I don't see why not. Just take dark lily with you." Jack followed Pitch's bony finger to see a Nightmare horse standing near the opening hole in the ceiling. Jack felt his smile widen as he ran towards the Nightmare. Jack rubbed the Nightmare who neighed in response.

"Oh and Jack." Pitch says. Jack looked at Pitch with a look so comforting to Pitch it made the area seem tense. "Try not to get captured. I would hate to loose my favorite Puppet." He said.

Jack nodded, getting onto the Nightmare before exiting the dark lair.
