Prologue (Part 2)
"Up now, the Barden Bellas!" Shouted the announcer, welcoming the Bellas onto the stage. The crowd cheered as the girls made their way from behind the curtain.
"Well, the Bellas tonight are making history. The first ever all female group to make it to the ICCA final," Joe Keery stated, rather unenthusiastically.
"That's right, Joe, " Natalia agreed. "Now why do you think it's taken so long for an all lady group to brake through that A Capella glass ceiling?"
"Well, Natalia, women typically cannot hit the low notes," stated Joe. "Which really round out on their range but thrill the judges and can really hurt them in competition. Women are about as good at a Capella as they are at being doctors." (Well screw you too.)
Onstage, the girls stood in their places, smiling at the audience. A few shifted nervously in their shiny black heels. But overall they were confident.
What could go wrong?
Maddie calmly blew into her pitch pipe to give the girls their starting notes.
"1, 2, 3, 4," she whispered, loud enough for the girls to here her.
They all then began moving their hips in sync while making music with their mouths.
"I," the group sang as they pointed their toes to the right.
"I gotta new life! You would hardly recognize me I'm so fine!" Maddie sang calmly.
"I"
"How could a person, like me care for you!" Maddie stepped forward, placing a hand on her chest gesturing to herself. She then slid the hand down her body, shaping her practically perfect figure.
"Why would I bother, if you're not the one for me?" She pointed to Millie, who was standing next to her. Millie smiled as she linked arms with the other girl.
"Oooooh," the girls sang as Maddie handed the microphone off to Millie for her solo. Millie gulped nervously as the cold microphone was placed into her hand. She quickly made eye contact with Sadie, who was in the row behind her. Sadie gave her a reassuring smile. Millie nodded subtly as she got ready for her solo.
"Is enough enough-" the Bellas sang before Millie's solo cut them off.
"I saw the sign!" Millie cheerfully sang as she pranced forward. "And it opened up my eyes!"
While the performance was enjoyable, it wasn't as thrilling as the trebles, leaving the people to have negative commentary.
"Ugh, is it me or did we just take a left turn into snooze ville?" Natalia said to Joe over the singing.
"Yeah, and we parked in a lot where they do not validate," Joe replied jokingly.
"I've left you all alone!" The Bellas performed a series of hand motions while they harmonized with Millie.
"I saw the sign!" Millie skipped her way to center stage, beaming from ear to ear.
"And it opened up my eyes, I saw the-" Out of no where, an orange-ish substance came spraying out of Millie's mouth, interrupting her solo and making everyone in the room shriek.
She continued to throw up in the direction of the audience. The crowd screamed (not with delight) and gagged while the Bellas froze in place and looked at her is shock. The commentators gasped in the in the stands
"Holy-" Joe started, but was cut off by Natalia.
"Well this is a surprise! Now this is how you bring the excitement!" The two laughed and shouted out random comments over each other.
Sadie tried to overcome her surprise and looked at Millie sympathetically. Millie hunched over, gasping for air.
The judges all looked at each other, not knowing what to say.
"That's like a week's worth of lunch she lost right there!" Joe said, trying to restrain his laughter.
"Well she didn't lose it I mean we know exactly where it is, it's all over the third row!" Natalia added, gesturing to the frantic audience.
Millie looked up and let out a whimper, trying to hold back the tears.
A/N: rip Millie am I right? I feel bad cause Joe and Natalia are kind of assholes in this, but I mean, it's funny. Stay tuned for the next chapter when we meet
y/n and possibly Finn!
