A Stranger Sails into Port Royal

💀6 year old Aggie in picture💀

Time passed and Aggie grew from a mischievous little toddler to a troublesome six year old girl. Even though she was raised in the Port Royal orphanage under the glaring eyes of Miss Thiskle, the orphanage's strict director, she still managed to cause trouble. At one point Aggie snuck into Miss Thiskle's private supply closet and ate most of her chocolate bon-bon's. She thought she would be forgiven if she left a single bon-bon for the furious woman. Another time a young orphan girl named Jessica had pushed Aggie into the mud and told her she will never get adopted. Aggie retaliated by writing the word JERK on Jessica's forehead in black ink while she slept and it took a good week and a half to get all the ink off Jessica's face.

No doubt about it, little Aggie was a rebel and she loved it. Another thing about Aggie is that she always acted up when it came to getting adopted. It was very rare that a new couple wanted to adopt in Port Royal, but when it did happen Aggie would make sure she was the least desirable child. As soon as she saw a couple pass through the gate she would roll in the nearest mud puddle or make up a horrendous lie about herself.

At one point a young couple was taking an interest in her, they even told her she was a very cute little girl. Aggie nodded and replied with "I have a rash on my belly." The couple quickly moved on and decided to adopt a young boy named Daniel instead.

The reason Aggie didn't want to be adopted was because she believed she had parents out there looking for her. And no matter how many times Miss Thiskle harshly reminded her that her parent's could very well be dead, Aggie never gave up hope. Someone out there was looking for her, she felt it in her bones.

One day after climbing the fence of the orphanage, Aggie ran to the governor's mansion and knocked on the door, since she was much too short to use the door knocker.

The doorman answered the door and stared down at Aggie.

"How are ya, Jeeves?" Aggie greeted him, walking in.

"The name is Jameston, Miss Agatha" the doorman said in a posh English accent.

"And my name is Aggie, Jeeves" she corrected mockingly "Is Liz here?"

"Miss Swann is in her bedroom, shall I announce that you have arrived?" Jameston asked.

"Don't trouble yourself" I said "I know which room is hers!"

Aggie bounded up the stairs and ran down the hallway to Elizabeth Swann's room, running smack into Governor Swann as she did.

"Ello, Governor!" She said.

"Agatha" the Governor nodded "I thought I told you could only to come to us if there was an emergency?"

"How do you this isn't an emergency?" asked Aggie.

"Because it never is" the Governor said.

Aggie smirked "You know me so well!"

"I'm afraid this will have to be a short visit" the Governor stated "Elizabeth and I are getting ready to go to the captain Norrington's promotion ceremony."

"Oh yes! Tell Jamesy congrats on becoming a Comma-nana-dore...?" Aggie said unable to pronounce Norrington's new navy title.

Governor Swann forced the tiniest of smiles and continued down the hallway. The Govenor never approved of Aggie visiting Elizabeth, but the two had formed a close bond over the years, in a way they were like the sister the other never had. Governor Swann would much prefer Elizabeth to be socialising with elite girls of her own age, but then again the Governor always preferred something else for his daughter.

"Hey Lizzie! How's it hanging?" Aggie said, coming into her bedroom.

"Aggie, you know I'm always happy to see you" Elizabeth said from her vanity "but can you please knock next time?"

"Look on the bright side, at least you weren't naked" Aggie grinned.

"That is a perfectly good reason why you should knock" said Elizabeth, applying some blush to her cheeks.

"Why do you use make-up?" Aggie asked "You're already pretty!"

"Father told me I had to look my best for Commodore Norrington" she said.

"Is he still trying to get a ring on your finger?" Aggie asked, playing with her lipstick.

Elizabeth sighed deeply. "I'm afraid so" she said, taking the lipstick away.

"But he's so old!" Aggie said "and his hair looks like ice cream!"

"That is a wig, Aggie" Elizabeth chuckled.

"It looks like vanilla soft serve!" Aggie said.

Elizabeth laughed. "I better get going" she said.

The two walked down the stairs and found William Turner, the town blacksmith, showing a new sword to the Governor.

"Ah! Elizabeth, you look absolutely stunning!" Governor Swann said.

"Will!" Elizabeth said, noticing the young blacksmith "so good to see you-"

She was cut off when Aggie zoomed past her, sliding down the stair banister and landing on her butt on the floor.

"-again" Elizabeth said, cringing slightly at Aggie's fall.

"Ow!" Aggie cried "It was worth it!"

Will helped the young rebellion up.

"I had a dream about you last night!" Elizabeth told Will.

"About me, Miss Swann?" Will asked.

Aggie grinned, she always wanted to see Will and Elizabeth get together! She had tried on many occasions to set them up, asking Elizabeth if she liked Will and talking to Will about Elizabeth, things like that.

"About the day we met, do you remember?" Asked Elizabeth.

"How could I forget, Miss Swann?" Will said.

"Will, how many times must I ask you to call me Elizabeth?"

"At least once more Miss Swann, as always" Will answered.

"We must be going" said Governor Swann, leading Elizabeth to the carriage outside.

"Good day, Mr. Turner" Elizabeth said her goodbyes. "Have a nice day, Aggie" she said, looking at the young girl.

Will followed them out. "Good day... Elizabeth." He said as the carriage rolled away.

"Smooth!" Aggie said, adding in her two cents.

Will shot her a small glare.

"I meant this railing, very smooth!" Aggie lied, running her hands along the porch railing.

"I knew what you meant" Will sighed "Do you really think I have a chance with her?"

"Well, Crazier things have happened!" Aggie said.

"That wasn't really a reassuring answer" Will shook his head.

"That wasn't really a predictable question" Aggie shook her head.

"I still have some deliveries to make" Will said "Care to tag along?"

"Not really" Aggie said "I'm gonna go down to the docks and annoy Mullroy and Murtogg until the Miss Thiskle tracks me down!"

"Have fun!" Will called to her.

"Nothing fun ever happens around here!" Aggie called back as she headed down the laneway.

                         ☠💀☠

Aggie made it down to the docks where Murtogg and Mullroy where stationed to guard the interceptor, a small and sleek navy vessel. When she came around the corner she noticed they weren't doing a very good job.

For starters, they stood there arguing about a Black Pearl, whatever that was. Also a suspicious and downright weird looking guy was at the helm of the interceptor.

Aggie passed by the dimwitted guards and hopped aboard the interceptor as well.

"I don't think you're supposed to be here" Aggie said, standing beside the stranger, nearly making him jump out of his skin as she spoke.

The man looked down at her, inquisitively. "Are you suppose to be up here?" He questioned.

"No" Aggie answered.

"Then I won't tell if you don't tell?" He offered.

"I see the irony in that" Aggie nodded, not wanting to get into trouble.

"Good" said the stranger.

"What's your name?" Aggie asked him.

"Capta-" he stopped short "Smith."

"Captain Smith?" Aggie asked.

"Sure" Smith said.

"I'm Aggie" she said.

"Aggie?" He raised an eyebrow.

"It's short for Agatha and long for gee!" She grinned.

"Uh-huh" he said.

"You!" Yelled Mullroy "get away from there!"

"You don't have permission to be aboard there, mate!" Murtogg said as they pointed there weapons at Smith.

"I'm sorry it's just, it's such a pretty boat... ship!" He said.

"What's your name?" Asked Mullroy.

"Smith or Smithy, if you like?" The man said.

"What's your purpose in Port Royal, Mr. Smith?" Asked Murtogg.

"Yeah and no lies!" Mullroy demanded.

"Alright then, I confess" Smith said "it is my intention to commandeer one of these ships, pick up a crew in Tortuga, raid, pillage, plunder and otherwise pillfer my weasley black guts out!"

"I said no lies!" Mullroy said.

"I think he's telling the truth" Murtogg said.

"If he were telling the truth, he wouldn't have told us!" Mullroy answered.

"Well, not unless he knew you wouldn't believe the truth even if he told it to you" Aggie spoke up.

The three grown men looked down at the little girl, shocked that she could come up with such a clever scenario.

Aggie looked up at them. "What?" She asked.

Suddenly there was a splash in the water beside them, all four of them ran to the rail of the ship to look over. Aggie's face paled and her blood ran cold.

For sinking into the Caribbean waters below was Elizabeth Swann...
