Maggie walked deeper into the cave following the light that illuminated off the treasure. She finally made it to the treasure trove in the center of the cave, where Will and Jack were both-surprisingly- still alive. Maggie could only guess that Jack's quick thinking and even quicker mouth had a part in their survival.

Barbossa watched Jack as he picked through the treasure.

"I must admit, Jack, I thought I had ye figured!" Barbossa told him "turns out your a hard man to predict!"

"Me? I'm dishonest!" Jack told him "And a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest! Honestly! It's the honest ones you want to watch out for! Because you can never tell when they're going to do something... incredibly... stupid!"

In one swift move Captain Jack, grabbed a sword off a nearby pirate and tossed him into a pool water. He tossed the sword to Will who broke free of his bonds and began to fight the pirates nearest him.

Jack fought skillfully and fiercely against Barbossa, even managing to cut the feather off his Barbossa's over-sized hat.

"Ha!" Jack said.

Maggie took this opportunity to run into the fight and help Jack.

Barbossa and Jack's swords crossed. "You're off the edge of the map, mate!" Barbossa told him "Here there be monsters!"

"Let him go or else!" Maggie said, beating her fists against his leg.

"Or else what?" Barbossa sneered at her. "You're a child!"

"I'm not just any child!" Maggie told him "I'm Captain Jack Sparrow's child!"

A look of pure surprise and recognition came to Jack's face. His mouth gaped open and his eyes widened as he looked at that little orphan girl and saw his baby Maggie again.

"Maggie?" He asked.

"Hi Daddy" Maggie said, smiling at him.

Jack grinned, but it soon turned to a look of horror as Barbossa ran his sword through Maggie's back.

"NO!" Jack yelled, his voice more sad than angry. Jack was ready to run Barbossa through himself, until both men noticed Maggie backing up into a shaft of moonlight.

Maggie stared down at her hands, they had turned fully skeletal in the moonlight, as did the rest of her.

"Wow! I really gotta stay out of the moonlight" Maggie quipped "it's bad for my skin!"

She grinned holding up the medallion she had swiped off Barbossa's belt when he was fighting Jack.

"Who knew a child could be such a good pick-pocket, huh?" She smirked at Barbossa.

Barbossa roared angrily and swiped at Maggie, who ducked out of the way just in time to hear the sword whistle past her ear.

Jack attacked Barbossa swiping at him as they continued to parry around the cave.

Barbossa fell against a rock in a shaft of moonlight. "So what now, Jack Sparrow?" He asked "we be two men locked in an epic battle until judgement day and trumpets sound, hmm?"

"Or you could surrender?" Jack suggested, shrugging.

Maggie giggled as Barbossa got up and continued fighting.

Elizabeth made it back to the cave, but for some reason she was alone? Where was Jack's crew?  She and Will were now working together to fight off the remaining member's of Barbossa's crew. They were doing pretty good too, they blew up them up by putting a bomb in one pirates chest!

While Barbossa was distracted by the blast. Maggie threw Jack the medallion and Jack tossed it to Will.

Barbossa pointed his pistol straight at Elizabeth. A loud gun shot rang out, echoing in the cave, all was deadly silent...

Barbossa looked over at Jack, who held his smoking pistol. He had done it, he had shot Captain Barbossa.

But Barbossa simply grinned "Ten year ye carry that pistol and now ye waste your shot!"

"He didn't waste it!" Will told him.

Everyone looked up to see, Will dropping the bloody medallion into the stone chest of Cortés.

Barbossa grinned fell. He tore open his coat to see blood soaking through the freshly made bullet hole in his chest, right where his heart should have been.

He looked at Jack and Maggie helplessly. "I feel... cold..." he fell onto the mountain of treasure, an uneaten apple falling from his grasp.

All was very still and silent in the cave... then Maggie walked up to Barbossa's corpse.

"What are you doing?" Elizabeth asked her.

"Just making sure" Maggie told her. She then kicked Barbossa in the groin.

"Ooooh!" Jack hissed as he and Will winced.

"Yep, he's dead alright!" Maggie grinned when Barbossa didn't move.

Jack walked up to Maggie, picked her up and hugged her tightly.

"I'm sorry, Luv!" He told her, sincerely  "I promise I'm never leaving you again! I love you so much!" He showered her with kisses.

"I love you too, Daddy..." Maggie told him as he hugged her. "But can you loosen your grip... I'm turning blue!"

Jack gave her forehead a final kiss and put her down.

"I call first pick of the treasure!" She said running to one end of the cave.

"No! No! I'm your father and the captain, so I get first pick!" Jack told her, following Maggie.

Maggie giggled and started picking through the treasure.

Elizabeth smiled as Will watched them confused.

"Jack is Aggie's father?" He asked Elizabeth.

"Afraid so..." Elizabeth chuckled "and her name is actually Maggie."

"Maggie Sparrow... well, at least she was close" Will shrugged.

They stared at each other admiringly for a moment. Until Maggie threw a gold nugget at the back of Will's head.
Will turned and looked at Maggie as she pointed to him and then at Elizabeth and made kissy faces.

Will rolled his eyes, humoring her and then turned back to face Elizabeth.

"We should return to the Dauntless" she told him.

"You're fiancé will be wanting to know you're safe..." Will said.

Elizabeth gave him an apologentic look and turned around, walking away.

Jack and Maggie walked up behind him decked out in treasure. Maggie had her pockets full of treasure and a gold tiara on her head.

"If you were waiting for the opportune moment... that was it..." Jack told him.

"Yeah, way to go Romeo!" Maggie said.

"Now if you'd be so kind we'd be much obliged if you'd drop us off at our ship!" Jack called to Elizabeth.

But when the four rowed out of the cave, they came to realize that the Black Pearl was gone. Elizabeth explained that Mr. Gibbs and Jack's crew had left with it during the battle.

"I'm sorry, Jack..." Elizabeth said, sadly.

"They've done what's right by them" Jack said disappointed "can't expect more than that."

"What's gonna happen now?" Maggie asked.

Jack, Will and Elizabeth looked at each other sadly. At this point it looked as if Jack would be hanged and  Maggie wouldn't have a father after all.

"Maggie, My Luv... I..." Jack told her, looking at her sadly.

Maggie could tell what was going to happen next by the look he gave her.

"No..." she shook her head, tears welling in her eyes.

"Maggie..." Elizabeth said.

"No!" Maggie shouted, hugging Jack. "They can't do this! They can't separate us again! We can save you! We can talk Norrigton out of it!"

"Maggie-" Jack said.

"If they hang you, they'll just have to hang me with you!" Maggie said.

"No!" Jack told her "Maggie, look at me! Don't you ever say that again! Maggie, there's no way you can save me. Norrington and his men have their minds made up, it's a lost cause. I'm sorry..."

"But what about me?" She asked "I want to stay with you."

"Maggie, when we get back to the Dauntless, I want you to promise me that you won't tell anybody that you're my daughter" Jack said "if they find out you'll be a goner too and I could never live with myself if you were killed because of my doings. Promise me you won't tell anyone..."

Tears ran down Maggie's cheeks as she said the sour words "I promise..."

"Good girl" Jack said, kissing her forehead. "I love you."

Sure enough, when they got to the Dauntless, Jack was taken as a prisoner to the brig of the ship.

Maggie watched him as they took him below. He gave her a small smile.

Maggie did her best to return it...
