Maggie's Log:
Day 4 on the island of Saint Martin.

It has been several months since our last big adventure to the Fountain of Youth, since then Daddy and I have acquired a new crew, including old acquaintances such as the ever trusted Mr. Gibbs, Marty and Scrum. The situation of the Black Pearl hasn't changed, she still sits in her glass bottled prison, I can tell Daddy misses his vessel, even if he won't say so. I miss her too... mostly because all my stuff is still there from when Barbossa stole it, years ago. Speaking of Barbossa, well he made off with the Queen Anne's Revenge and is now doing quite well for himself. He has a small but prosperous fleet of ships at his disposal and he's become quite rich in plunder. However -considering he's the one who lost the Pearl and put us in this position- if I ever see him again I'm kicking him... right in the cannonball's!

Daddy has been able to acquire us a new ship in the meantime, the Dying Gull it's called... and it certainly smells like something died on it. The vessel is also small and isn't very seaworthy from the looks of it, that's why we have it beached near an abandoned shipyard off the coast of Saint Martin...

Maggie Sparrow sat in the tiny cabin she shared with her father aboard the Dying Gull. She sat at her father's desk updating her log, but turned her head as the door of the cabin creaked open. It was her father Captain Jack Sparrow, he walked in with his red bandana pulled over his eyes.

"The father figure/Captain of the ship is now entering the cabin" he announced clearly. "Is the tiny female of said cabin descent?"

"Heh?" Maggie asked.

"Are you in your night gown yet?" He simplified his question

"Oh... yeah, I'm all dressed!" Maggie said, giggling as Captain Jack straightened his bandana back into place.

"I'm just kidding" he grinned. "Besides it's nothing I haven't seen. I changed your diapers enough times... now then, come on into bed with ye!"

"I would, but I can't" Maggie shook her head.

Captain Jack raised a brow. "And just why not?"

"Cause I don't want to!" Maggie smirked.

Jack squinted at her sternly and Maggie froze for a moment before pouncing off her chair and making a mad dash for the door. However Captain Jack scooped her up before she had the chance and carried her under his arm before dropping her onto her little cot bed beside his.

"If you can be sassy, you can go to sleep! Now sleep!" Jack told her.

"But I'm not even sleepy!" Maggie told him, while rubbing her eyes.

Jack gave her a wry look.

Maggie realized what she was doing and pulled her hand away from her face. "I had something in my eye!" She shrugged nonchalantly.

"Yeah, you do have something in your eye..." Jack nodded. "Sleepiness! Now lie down. I'm going to tuck you in so tight, you'll never squirm your way out!"

"That's what you think!" Maggie smirked.

"Right, first we tuck in the feet, so I don't have to smell them..." Jack said, tucking in the covers near her feet.

"There not half as bad as yours..." Maggie quipped.

"Oy!" Jack gave her sides a playful pinch, causing her to giggle. "And then we tuck in the legs and belly, so monsters don't come out from under the bed to eat them. And finally we tuck in the neck, so vampires don't try to suck your blood."

"But we never cover that pretty face..." he kissed her nose "...because it's too precious to cover."

Maggie smiled sweetly as he stroked her bangs back out of her face.

"Now normally I would give you a kiss goodnight" Captain Jack told her. "But unfortunately... I've forgotten how!"

"No, you haven't!" Maggie rolled her eyes.

"Yes, I have!" Jack told her "I haven't  the slightest idea how to... Wait! Is this how you do a goodnight kiss?" He puffed out his cheeks and touches his mouth to her forehead.

Maggie giggled "No!"

"Oh... well, what about like this?" He blew a raspberry into her neck.

"Ahh-ha-ha-ha!" Maggie shrieked with laughter. "No! Not like that!"

"Like this?" He made fish lips and leaned in, Maggie shoved his face away.

"Ew! No! No fishy kisses!" She laughed.

"Well, how does it work then?" Jack asked.

"Like this..." Maggie demonstrated a proper kiss onto his cheek.

"Oh! That's it?" Jack asked, looking confused.

"Mm-hmm" Maggie nodded.

"Alright then" he kissed her forehead. "G'night, Luvvy."

"Night, Daddy" Maggie said.

Captain Jack walked towards the door, when Maggie's voice called him back like a siren song.

"Daddy?" She asked "Are you gonna leave me alone in the dark?"

"Oh... Uh, no! No, of course not!" Jack shook his head. "I would never leave you all alone on your first night on a new ship. I'll just..." he climbed onto his bed beside Maggie's. "I'll just lie here beside you until you fall asleep."

Maggie crawled out from under her covers and into the bigger bed with her father and curled up beside him.

"Love you, Daddy" Maggie whispered.

"Daddy loves you too, pet" Jack responded, running his fingers through her hair. "Don't worry we won't be here long, we'll find a way to get the Pearl back, we'll come into some finances and we'll be back at sea in no time. It'll probably be no more than a few weeks..."

Maggie's Log:
Day 186 on Saint Martin.

It's been six months since we arrived in Saint Martin and we haven't been out to sea since. Daddy's usual unwavering luck doesn't seem to be working nowadays and it effects all of our criminal escapades. While I continue to be supportive of Daddy and believe in him as always, I'm still worried. Our finances are dwindling and the crew is getting more aggressive with their complaints. If Dad's luck doesn't return soon, we could be in over our heads... if we're not already. However Daddy says he has another plan to help our financial situation... but then again, this is the fourth plan he's had in the last six months...

"I don't like the looks of this plan, Daddy" Maggie shook her head staring at her father's planning charts. "I mean... robbing a bank is too predictable, the redcoats will see it coming a mile away!"

"It's not exactly like robbing a bank" Jack shrugged off her concerns. "It's more like... intercepting money transfers!"

"And these money transfers are at the bank and we go in and take them even though they're not ours?" Maggie asked.

Jack nodded "Exactly!"

"That's still robbing a bank!" Maggie exclaimed. "It's too risky!"

"Oh and I suppose a pint-sized pipsqueak like yourself has a better idea?" Jack asked, humoring her.

"Yes, I do!" Maggie nodded. "What we should do is send one of us into he bank with fake dynamite strapped to their chest so that they can pretend they're a victim! Y'know you go into the bank and start bawling like 'Oh God! Please empty the safe or they'll splatter me all over the walls! Please I have a family!' And all that. Then you hand over the money to another crew member, while the redcoats are busy trying to defuse the fake bomb. Then you give them a bogus description of the robbers, so they don't know who they're looking for and then we meet up back at the Pearl with the loot! Easy-peasy!"

Jack nodded, trying not to seem impressed by his daughter's vast criminal knowledge.

"...Y'know when your mother was pregnant I thought to meself, finally I can bestow my criminal intelligence onto a child. But you already know everything I can teach you!" Jack told her.

"So I'm a disappointment to you because I'm smart?" Maggie quirked a brow.

"No, No Darling! You're not a disappointment to me!" Jack chuckled placing a hand on your shoulder. "You just suck cause you're good at everything!

"Hmm..." Maggie thought about it. "I can live with that!" She shrugged.

"Anyway!" Jack rolled his eyes. "My plan is full proof! No one will even suspect that we're robbing the bank, if we use the element of surprise to our advantage!"

"Dad, the bank of Saint Martin is in the middle of the town square, the place is constantly crowded" Maggie told him. "How on earth do you expect us to pull off a bank robbery in a crowded place in broad daylight? The redcoats will be on us like barnacles on the Dying Gull's haul!"

"Not if we find a way to get the money out of the bank quickly and easily!" Jack grinned.

"And you have a way of doing that?" Maggie asked.

"Of course I do!" Jack nodded.

"How?" Maggie asked.

"Let me answer that question with another question" Jack booped her nose. "Haven't you always wanted your very own pony?"

Maggie stared at him "...No."

Jack chuckled "Of course, you do!"

The next thing Maggie knew she was standing on the beach next to the Dying Gull with her father, staring a gift horse in the mouth... no, seriously! Her father had a team of horses lined up beside the ship!

"Why...?" Was all Maggie could manage.

"We're going to use the horses to pull the safe out of the bank!" Jack told her.

"Why can't you just rob a bank like a normal criminal?" Maggie asked, exasperated. "Instead of overcomplicating things! Just go into the bank brandishing your pistol like a normal bank robber!" Maggie glanced at the horses and wrinkled her nose. "Besides these things smell like your boots!"

"Maggie, my Luv" Jack put a hand on her shoulder. "When you're as deep into the life of piracy as I am, the people who know your name will come to expect certain... attributes in your criminal escapades."

"In other words, you're gonna put on a circus as you rob the people of Saint Martin blind?" Maggie questioned.

"Exactly. If we're gonna do crimes, we might as well do it in style!" Jack nodded. "We'll give them a show. Something to write home about. A nice bedtime story for the kiddies. Speaking of which, you should get to bed. We're doing this heist tomorrow and I need you well-rested if you're going to be any help."

"Where are you going?" Maggie asked, as he started walking in the opposite direction.

"I have a date" Jack told her.

"UGH!" Maggie gagged loudly.

"A date with someone who can get us into the bank..." Captain Jack winked.

"Oh!" Maggie nodded. "So it's strictly business and not pleasure?"

"Eh... maybe a little of both? We'll see!" Jack shrugged.

"Gross" Maggie sighed climbing back up onto the Dying Gull.

"It's not that gross!" Jack called to her.

"Yeah, yeah! Just spare me all the nauseating details when you get back!" Maggie told him.

Captain Jack rolled his eyes "Good night, Maggie!"

"Keep your tongue in your own mouth, Romeo!" Maggie called back.
