(Port Royal 1728).

As The Huntress Made port at the docks of Port Royal she was the port was packed with people both civilian and the navy.

"I know I told Governor Swann we were coming but I didn't think he would roll out the welcome mat with this many people."

"Mam has it occurred to you that you are a renowned Pirate hunter and your reputation of preferring rehabilitation over execution and need I even list the number of things your family has done in general for the people of the empire both charity and otherwise." Mila says with an eyeroll as she gestures for the marines to lower the Gangplank.

Walking down Avona is greeted BY the Vice Admiral of Port royal and the commander of the Caribbean fleet.

"Welcome Commodore nelson its an honor to meet you." The Admiral says kissing her hand. 

"Likewise Admiral Arthur." Avona replies uncomfortable with the attention she was being showered in. 

"Please follow me." he says gesturing for her to take his arm.

However Avona catches sight of something else that makes her smile widen. " I will in a moment Admiral." Avona says running off into the crowd as the admiral follows her line of sight and shakes his head before following the excited officer.

Politely weaving through the crowd Avona makes her way over to where her friend is. 

"Elizabeth." Avona says with warmth in her voice, The governors daughter seeing her best friend smiles before running over over and embracing her.

"Avona It's been too long." Elizabeth says tears in her eyes

"Elizabeth is that really proper of you." Governor swann chastens approaching them flanked by Norrington and the Admiral.

"Governor you need to Loosen up." Avona sasses keeping Elizabeth in a side hug.

"Now commodore." Arthur says approaching her before swann raises a hand. "No Admiral it's quite alright The good commodore and I are old friends and She's right I need to loosen up and this is a special occasion." He says with a smile. 

After getting Introduced to Captain Norrington the party makes their way to the fort where Avona is lead into her office by the Admiral.

"Very nice." Avona says glancing at the ornate furniture and her desk along with the balcony view of the port.

"Indeed now commodore tomorrow is captain Norrington's promotion ceremony I do hope you will join us." He says winking at her causing Avona to scoff.

"Admiral firstly let me be clear. I am not an object or a toy that is yours to play with I am a commodore of the royal navy And if you know anything of my reputation you'll know I have turned down dozens of suitors and I have no interests in love since my only love is to the sea and our country. But I will come." Avona says before leaving her office and making her way to her temporary villa.

(The next day).

As the morning light blanketed port royal Avona woke up bright and early smiling as she threw on her uniform

"Mam are you well its almost time for the ceremony." Her Mila says knocking on her door.

"Indeed I am Commander." Avona says opening her door joining Mila as they enter their Carriage.

Arriving at the fort Avona And Mila Join Elizabeth and Avona takes one look at her dress and frowns. "Let me Guess your father made you wear this right." Avona whispers.

Elizabeth Just nods Causing Avona to sigh.

finally after what seemed like forever the ceremony ended as Norrington was given a new sword and Avona couldn't help but Admire the craftsmanship and decided to pay a visit to the town's blacksmith after the ceremony. 

As the party broke away into mingling Avona was cornered by the admiral who attempted to propose again but this Time after catching sight of Avona gripping her sword it was Governor Swann who made it Clear she wasn't interested.

As she and Mila chatted they heard a splash and Norrington yell Elizabeth's name. Turning to where Norrington was Avona ran up the steps and looked down seeing ripples in the water.

"DOWN TO THE DOCKS MOVE." She yelled frantically as she sprinted to the stairs followed by the marines and Norrington and Governor swann.

Exiting the fort Avona ran through the streets leaping over barrels and swerving so as to not body check anyone.

Finding the dock she bolted to where two marines were and after seeing her they snapped to attention.

Ignoring them she glances around frantically until finally she saw a strange man lift Elizabeth onto the port, Racing over to them Avona grabbed Elizabeth's arms and pulled her up as the man and Marines join her. 

"She's not breathing."

"Move now." Avona snapped grabbing her knife as she cut the corset off Elizabeth who began to cough water out of her lungs.

"Never would've thought of that." 

"Clearly you've never been to Singapore." The weird man says as he kneels down and grabs a medallion on Elizabeth.

"Where did you get that." He mutters as Avona helps Elizabeth up As Norrington shows up.

"ON your feet."  he snaps leveling his sword at the man.

After Swan ordered the man Shoot Elizabeth protested and Norrington stood down and offered his hand out only to pull the man forward and lift his sleeve.

"Had a brush in the the east India Trading company Pirate." Norrington questions as Avona pulls Elizabeth closer to her as she pulls out her pistol.

Eventually Norrington Identified the man as Jack Sparrow A pirate Avona knew.

However as Jack was being cuffed Elizabeth protested and while Norrington and the Admiral wanted him hanged like all pirates Avona stepped forward.

"I have studied Jack Sparrows crimes and Commodore Norrington I can assure you none are worthy of the death sentence and as the port's resident Pirate Hunter I suggest we offer him my usual."

Norrington considered it but then Jack pushed Avona into the water Knocking her pistol out of her hand as Mila runs up and grabs it aiming at Jack.

However Before Mila can pull the trigger Jack wraps his cuffs around Elizabeth.

Seeing This Elizabeth Growls But Jack puts his gun to her head and forces her to put his effects back on or else he pulls the trigger.

However he was also frantic he knew who that woman was and didn't want to be on the receiving end of her wrath.

Surfacing Avona's men pull her up as jack Backs away with his effects and hat on and Avona growls Knowing how he likely got them on.

"Gentle man ladies You will always remember this as the day you almost Caught Captain Jack Sparrow." He says Shoving Elisabeth forward as he makes his escape on a pulley.

"Now will you shoot him." Swann questions.

"OPEN FIRE." Avona and James yell.

Seeing the marines miss Avona gestures for her pistol which Mila hands over, then  Aiming up at the rope Avona fires splitting the rope as jack barely manages to swing away.

Growling as Marines race past her. "Search the town leave no stone unturned." Avona orders following her men.

After 10 minutes Avona attempts to open the Blacksmith shop but finds it locked.

'Gotcha." She whispers before turning to Mila gesturing to the door.

 Nodding Mila turns to their men. "Break this door down." Mila orders to the men who grab a thick plank and ram it into the door as Norrington Catches up.

After another minute The door breaks down and Avona, Norrington's men rush in as they surround jack a drunk man and a young boy.

"Congratulations mister Brown you've assisted in the capture of a dangerous Fugitive."

However as the man is about to reply Avona cuts him off. "Commodore Norrington I Don't think he was the one who battled him to a stand still I think it was this man." She says walking up to will who smiles at the praise.

"You certain." James questions.

"Yes I am I mean could he honestly hold a sword in his state let alone use one." She says gesturing to Brown.

Looking at the man James nods his head in agreement. "No he couldn't well our thanks Master Turner." James says before looking down at jack.

"I Guess this'll be the day that Jack sparrow almost Escaped." Avona quips causing James to chuckle.

"Indeed take him away." James says to the marines as they walk out.
