(London 1720).

With her father dead Avona developed an even greater hatred of pirates than ever before.

Her mother worried about her daughter's mental health decided to take action at dinner.

As she and Avona and Avona's grandfather sat at dinner her mother began the discussion.

"Sweetie I know it's hard and I know that you miss your father dearly I do too. But we can't let our grief over come us and change us into someone we aren't." She says gently.

Avona stopped eating and shot her mother a small glare. "Oh I miss father alright and I'll feel a lot getter when those cursed pirates sit on the bottom of the seas." She says coldly.

Avona's grandfather shook his head at her and put his utensils down before turning to his young granddaughter.

"Avona dear I know that you're angry but revenge won't bring him back and killing without reason won't make you feel better." He says while beginning to walk around the table.

"My dear as a man of honor I understand the value of keeping those we love safe and I've lost many friends and now both my sons.

But if I allow grief and anger to cloud my judgement I'll become no better than they who took my son's life.

If you are to one day sail the seas than you must remember to never lose who you are.

You are Avona Nelson and never forget that never forget to show mercy to show kindness and most importantly never forget where your loyalties lie." He says placing a hand on her shoulder.

Avona had tears in her eyes but began to smile. Standing up she embraced her mother and apologized for being so cold towards her for these last few months.

Over the next few years Avona began to study the seas legends along with known pirate gangs and ships

She also began to train vigorously with a blade and all manner of weapons including riffles bayonets and cannons.

She was determined to know everything before setting sail and her grandfather even took her aboard his personal ship 'The Supremacy ' to understand how a ship functions and how to lead a crew.

Finally after 6 years of training and learning Avona's 17th birthday rolled around.

In preparation she dawned her new naval uniform for the occasion as this party was to be held on 'The Supremacy'.

As she strapped on her sword belt her mother walked in holding two items a new Tricorn hat with silver lining similar to her old one that was now too small.

And a small chest.

"Mother what's this." Avona Asks Approaching the small box.

Her mother than began to cry as she placed the box down and embraced her daughter.

"I'm so proud of you Avona you've grown up into a great woman and now you are about to continue the legacy of our family and I know you'll do amazing."

She says while reaching down and grabbing the box. "This my dear is something that has protected many a sailor in our family and now it shall protect you."

Opening the lid Avona gasps at the emerald Gem inside.

"The jewel of the seas our families heirloom said to have once been used by Poseidon himself." Avona said awed as she placed it around her neck.

"Indeed use it well sweetie." Her mother replied.

(The supremacy).

Naval officers were gathered ranging from admirals to captains to commodores as they awaited Lord Admiral Nelson's arrival.

After a few more hours of waiting her arrived and out of his carriage stepped his beautiful daughter in law and his granddaughter now dressed in her new naval uniform.

Once they boarded the ship the captain gave orders to set sail and the party began.

Several officers tried to flirt with the widowed Ms Nelson and her daughter but these offenders quickly received a black eye in exchange for their actions.

Avona was so caught up in the party she didn't realize that they were sailing to a different port until she heard a cheering crowd.

Walking to the railing she saw a large crowd gathered and realized they were in Bristol.

Her Grandfather then made his way to the stairs as Avona spotted a beautiful black and white ship.

Her grandfather than began to address the crowd.

"My friends and trusted comrades today is a momentous occasion today my granddaughter now joins our family legacy as a member of the glorious Royal Navy." He announces as applause echo around Him.

"Today my granddaughter I give you a gift the legendary ship The Huntress a pride of the Nelson family and sister ship to the Supremacy itself." He announces as they dock.

Awed Avona climbs the steps to her new ship as her new crew greeted her.

"Greetings  mam." A young woman dressed in a naval Lt Commander's uniform greeted surprising Avona as her grandfather began to laugh at her expression.

"Avona that's Lt Commander Mila Wolfe she was a nurse but Had a longing for the sea and I decided to recruit her for your crew.

Avona smiled at this. "Thank you Grandpa."

Avona noticed 1/3rd of her crew was female the rest were make either family to the girls aboard her ship or hand picked by her grandpa personally.

After a few hours of exchanging greetings Avona saluted her grandfather as they set sail after she was officially promoted to Captain.

(Time skip to 1728).

Avona grinned taking in that fresh Jamaican Air as she and The Huntress Neared their destination.

(Flashback).

Over the last 2 years she had defeated pirate gang after pirate gang and taken many of them prisoner.

Most pirates were stunned no matter how hard they tried the huntress always seemed to catch them.

And due to its firepower no ship could challenge it one on one and Avona always managed to prevent pirate fleets from converging.

She was given a nickname by the various pirates 'The Shadow of The seas." Or known simply as 'The Shadow'.

However as she continued taking out pirates she realized they were barely scratching the pirate threat on the 7 seas and so came up with a new strategy.

Any time they identified a pirate threat they killed only the most blood thirsty on board and took the rest prisoner and Avona gave them a choice.

Accept joining the royal navy or face life in jail.

Most choose the first option and after a year it worked well and the king ordered that she be promoted to Commodore where her Grandfather appeared and even wept along with her mother.

The king then announced she was being given another ship and a new Position.

(End of Flash Back).

"Mam we are nearing Port Royal I can see the interceptor." Commander Mila announced.

"Excellent." Avona replied before turning to the rest of the Crew. "ALL HANDS PREPARE TO MAKE PORT." She ordered before whispering to herself as the Huntress made port.

"It's time to see an old Friend."
