You made It!

---Cross's POV----

The storm ended three hours later.

The Captain had peeked out of the cabin door when we hadn't been jolted for a while and the natural rocking of the ship had calmed down to a gentle bobbing. Just like in those cartoons of ships or boats.

Now we had just slipped out on deck, looking round for any other crew mates.

"They'll be down under deck." The Captain muttered, his cold eye scanning across the deck.

I nodded, remembering seeing Nightmare toss the Pirate that had been with me earlier down the hatch that led to below deck. He was the on that was there when I had been chained against the wall on my first arrival...the one with the bloodied axe.

The Captain stepped forwards. There was still a small layer of water covering the top deck, making his footsteps splash as he walked forwards.

I hurried on behind him, the massive ripped hole in my shoe from where the knife had stabbed me was letting in water, making the fabric of my shoe rub uncomfortably against my already sore bones.

I didn't mention it though. No one would care. I know that.

I stoped, watching as the Captain walked over to the hatch, wrapping a tentacle round the handle.

He stamped his foot on the wood a few times, almost like he was knocking, before pulling the hatch right open, letting sunlight pour down to the lower deck.

He stood there, staring down. I slightly limped over to him, also peering down to lower deck.

I could see the one with black tear stains sat down on a cannon by the stairs. He had shielded his face as the sudden sunlight had poured in, a grin breaking out on his face once he saw that it us. Well...I think he was happier about seeing the Captain. He probably couldn't care less about me.

"You made it!" He called, standing up on the cannon.

The Captain laughed. "Of course I did."

The tear marked skeleton jumped down, landing in the water with a small splash, the water going up to his ankles.

"Horror! The Captain made it!"

Immediately the sound of someone stumbling through the water was heard and the skeleton with the chunk ripped out of his head came into view.

It was the one I had seen Nightmare save from falling overboard and chucked across the ship to the hatch.

"Captain?" He asked in disbelief.

The Captain smirked, staring to go down the steep ladder-like steps. "The one and only, Horror."

I blinked, staying up-top. So I knew that the one with the hole in his head was called Horror...and that's it. I don't even know the Captains name yet!

I sighed. I wasn't about to go down in that water with my messed up foot and shoe. I know it would just make it worse.

---Nightmare's POV----

Cross didn't follow as I walked down. He stayed up at the hatch, looking down curiously.

I cringed at the sight of how much water there was, a shiver running up my spine.

"You good Captain?" Killer asked, losing out a hand for me.

"Yeah yeah don't worry." I said, brushing his hand away as I jumped from the stairs to a cannon.

As soon as I came into sight for the rest of the crew, they all cheered loudly, clapping.

"He made it!" Dust called, laughing from his seat, being sat on a tied down cannon next to another crew mate.

I nodded smirking. "You bet I did."

Dust jumped from cannon to cannon, pretending to be ballerina or some shit.

"Horror said you saved him."

I shrugged, looking around the lower deck. "If that's what you want to call it."

Horror snorted. "Suddenly shy of praise Captain?"

I chuckled. "Sure. Something like that."

I caught sight of Error over by the cargo and immediately started making my way over, stepping from cannon to cannon smoothly.

Error, like most of the others, was sat on a cannon. I smirked upon seeing the medic curled up next to him, his head resting in Errors lap.

He looked up, noticing me immediately. "So you made it huh? Last I heard from someone was that you were running for your life across the deck, a massive wave baring down on you."

I smirked. "That did happen, and I must say, it was rather intense."

Error laughed. "And just how did you escape that one?"

I shrugged. "Booked it and ran for my cabin."

Error nodded, petting the top of the medics head as he shifted.

I smirked, taking in the small smiles on both of their faces.

"Falling for our little medic huh~?" I purred, making Error yelp and blush softly.

"Firstly, he actually has a name believe it or not. Secondly. You can't say shit."

"Mmm really?"

"Yes. His name is Ink. Not 'the medic' or 'the healer'. That's his title. Not his actual name."

I held my hands up. "Woah. Sorry."

Error rolled his eyes.

"And why can't I say shit?"

Error blinked before looking right at me, smirking. "You like that one we kidnapped~ The one that's supposedly from the prophecy don't you~?"

I looked away, growling softly as I felt my face heat up a bit. "No..."

Error grinned. "Don't bullshit me, Nightmare. We can all see it."

I looked at him. "What?"

"We were discussing it earlier, you know, as the storm was going on. The way you look at him, the way you treat him, the way you smile at him. Oh, and Ink also told me about your little..." He leant forwards, whispering. "Hand holding session~"

I hissed, pushing him away. "If you've told anyone abo–"

"Relax. I haven't told anyone. Only us four know. You, me, Ink and him."

"His name is Cross." I growled. "And don't go near him."

Error smirked. "Oooh someone's protective~"

"You may be my first mate. But that doesn't mean shit when I decide to toss you or 'Ink' overboard."

Error tensed visibly before frowning. "You wouldn't do that to either of us. I'm your first mate. And Ink is the only one that can heal on this ship!"

I grinned. "I wouldn't be too sure about that Error. You know Killers been after your position for years now. And as for your little healer, you never know. Maybe Cross can heal~"

Error hissed, gripping onto Ink tighter. "You wouldn't."

"Wouldn't I~?"

Error went silent and I laughed. "Anyways. The reason I came over. How's the cargo?"

Error winced. "I was afraid you'd ask that...half of it is fine...but...the other half is unsaveable..."

I winced. "What can be saved?"

"Anything that was in bottles, containers packaging or cans survived, a few things failed to keep the water out, but otherwise a third of our food is completely fine and safe."

"So we've lost two thirds of our food?!" I hissed, glancing around at the rest of the crew. That might not be enough to last us our normal time we spend out at sea. We might have to call in and raid an island early or something.

That would be a pain.

I groaned, turning around and walking back, stepping from cannon-to-cannon again until I reached the stairs.

"All of you can come back on deck now. We need to get everything back in order." I called, making sure everyone had heard me before I walked up, wincing at the sunlight.

As soon as I was up top, I looked around for Cross. Trying to spot the small ball of fluff.

I almost panicked for about thirty seconds, the fragile skeleton seeming to be nowhere in sight.

"Cross?!" I called, walking round the ship.

"Yes Captain?"

I whipped round, nearly sighing in relief as I saw Cross' head poke out the door to my cabin, a curious look on his face.

I walked over quickly. "What are you doing in there?"

He flinched. "I-I don't like the rest of the crew...I-I didn't exactly get the best first impression for any of you really..."

I chuckled. "Is that so?"

"Well my first experience for you was being grabbed by those monstrous tentacles and then being kidnapped. My first experience with those three skeletons you left me with as I gained consciousness was having an axe to my throat, being stabbed in the foot and having my spine practically shattered.

As for the rest of the crew? They watched and laughed as I screamed for help at the end of the plank. None of them giving a shit about how desperate I was. So sorry if I have trust issues!"

I blinked a smirk forming on my face. "What about me now~?"

Cross took a cautious step back as I walked into my cabin, half shutting the door behind me. "W-Well...I-I guess you are the person I trust the most...B-But I don't even know your name!"

I smirked, leaning forwards and tilting his face up to mine, our faces inches apart.

"Nightmare. The names Nightmare~"
