I have never judged a contest before in my life, but it seemed like fun, so here it is!

Here are the rules for my first contest:

The max amount of words is 5000, but if you need to be a smidge over that's OK.

The word 'ukulele' must be somewhere in your story

The line "Why is it always trees?" Must be somewhere in your story

Please nothing inappropriate and no swearing

Any genre is fine

You must comment on this chapter that you are writing a story for this contest, and once finished writing, you must comment the name of it.

Your entree must be in by August 31 2017, but please comment if you need more time

And that's about it!  If you have any questions please feel free to comment them, and I will answer them to the best of my abilities.
