Jungro-Pyeong Clan - one of Xuijae Empire's ruling clans
Fai-Dongseol Clan - one of Xuijae Empire's ruling clans
Gong Saica Clan - one of Xuijae Empire's ruling clans
Izeryeo - one of Xuijae Empire's provinces; known for housing the army fortress
Moontree - a tree characterized by its light violet leaves and dark trunk and branches
Xianzhu Clan - a ruling clan known for its extravagance and weath
Yomaura Clan - a clan known for producing good soldiers that serve the royal family; after being of great service to monarchs, they are considered a ruling clan as an honorary thing
Piper - a colloquial term in referring to storytellers who hop from city to city every day, just entertaining people with their stories
Xuijae Empire - the only human empire in the continent of Shinjien
Akoshize Dynasty - the set of years starting from the ascendance of the current Emperor to Prince Kai-Se's birth
Minzareong Dynasty - the set of years starting from the birth of the Princess until the present
Dansarun Empire - pertains to both the empire of the gods and the eastern-most part of the continent
Dangrao - one of the provinces in Xuijae; the seat of Imperial power for humans
Urkaze - a city west of Dansarun; the seat of Imperial power for the gods
Shencai Empire - the empire of creatures of lore and those who do not fit within humans and gods; they are taken over by Dansarun
Winter and Fall Annals - one of the well-known books used by scholars; contains the history of the monarchs of past dynasties
Jade Peak Doctrines - one of the well-known books used by scholars; details the principles of the major religion in Xuijae
Fenhai - a type of traditional dress worn only on special festivals and whenever deemed necessary
Doctrine of Ethics - one of the well-known books used by scholars; contains the basic ethics of a public servant
Book of Proverbs and Poems - one of the well-known books used by scholars; a collection of literature in the past eras
Hankuure - one of the provinces in Xuijae
Chaebeon - one of the provinces in Xuijae
Shaoryeong - the spirit realm; a distinct realm from the mortal realm where ancestral spirits reside
Torake - one of the provinces in Xuijae
Stormcloud flowers - a species of flowers konwn for their purple, cottony petals
Mutsu - one of the Western Provinces of Shencai
Khone - one of the Western Provinces of Shencai
Shincheok - one of the Western Provinces of Shencai
Laohai - one of the Central Provinces of Shencai
Damaya - one of the Northern Provinces of Shencai
Blue Jasmine - a known narcotic produced only in Shencai
Aiwang - one of the Southern Provinces of Shencai
Shinjien - the name of the continent this story is taking place on
Zhunxi - a tea ceremony performed for guests in promise of cooperation and friendly relations
Cui-San - a well-known poetess who lived four hundred years before the story started
Cheongreong - a neighboring continent south of Shinjien
Poh - a type of nuts characterized by their hard shells and soft insides
Qin Damyung - one of the Northern Provinces of Dansarun
Dan-Tiong -a species of bird known for its colorful plumage
Gui-ppom - a type of ink popular in Dansarun
Fox tears - a type of pearl mined from the ground and not obtained from the waters
Tanzhai - the in-world equivelent of chess
Dokpio - plants with broad, green leaves and fleshy, white stalks;great garnish for meat stews
