Chapter 1: Piper
Chapter 1
Piper
I have existed for slightly more than 100 years, probably about 115 or so. Yet these past 100 years, I still have no clue what I am meant to do. I wander the streets, night and day, yet nobody can see me. Moony doesn't let the other spirits see me either, he says it's not time, but the last I heard from Moony was 100 years ago, the only time he ever talked to me. My only companions are the animals and my flute. Nobody else notices.
On the roof, I spot Frost. From my observations, nobody can see him too. However, he often likes to prank Bunny and Bunny still has yet to actually catch him. Sometimes I help out in the prank or play one myself, but Frost gets all the credit. They probably don't know I exist.
A stream of gold light up the sky, Sandy. Right on time too. I touch the sand and dolphins form to spin around me. I pull out my flute, some music will help speed it up. Blowing softly, a tune flows out and the sand shoots faster through the sky. Some of the sand formed music notes which makes me giggle. That should do.
Then the gold starts to change, turning black and disintegrating. My heart freezes. However, the sand turns back immediately to its original form and color. In the corner I spot a black shape moving, behind it the white haired boy. Intrigued, I raced towards them, chasing.
They turned into an alley. I crouched behind the brick wall, watching and waiting. The shadow had disappeared, but Frost, being an idiot, had been dumped into a bag. That bag was held by a humongous yeti and beside was Bunny.
Bunny was complaining, but at the same time happy that he had finally caught Frost. He muttered something on the lines of revenge and payback. Motioning towards the yeti, he proclaimed that he would see him back at the North Pole.
Suddenly, a small hummingbird like creature bumped into me. A tooth fairy! What was it doing here? She rubbed her head and started chattering at me, when she looked to see who I am, she seemed surprised and excited. Immediately, she inspected my teeth before grinning at me. She could see me?
The tooth fairy or as I had nicknamed her Flick, realized that before us, the yeti had opened a portal and was lumbering through. She flitteredafter him, forgetting about my presence. They were all long gone by now, but the portal still stayed open, as if waiting for something. One step, two, I broke into a run and raced into the portal. What did I have to lose?
