So it's the first Raw of the New Era + instead of waiting till the show ends --

I'll be typing as the matches go.

Of course you guys won't get the update till the end of the show,
but I just thought I'd let you know ...

Anyways, moving on to my thoughts about the intro of this Raw's kick off:

1) THEME SONG

Ever since they ditched Papa Roach's, "To Be Loved" I've been waiting for RAW to switch over to a more alternative song & they've finally done it!

2) INTRO CREDITS

As a massive Saige shipper, I'm a tad bit upset that Paige + Seth aren't next to each other in the opening credit split images -- but oh well :P

The new intro is pretty sweet, but the intro's to either show have never really been an issue.

3) INTRODUCTION OF RAW ROSTER

I'm still tripping out over this Stephanie McMahon + Mick Foley collaboration solely because Mick's a cupcake and Steph's a saltine cracker, but okaaaay. I loved that Foley brought out everyone from the Roster + as much as I feel for Roman Reigns & the insane amount of hate he's receiving from the live crowds, I ENJOYED the hell out of Stephanie McMahon dragging Reigns.

"You're not a good guy,
you're not a bad guy,
you're A LOSER."

GODDAMN STEPHANIE IS SAVAGE AS FUCK.

I found that little segment to be pretty good since Roman was smugly staring at Stephanie like, "Seth was there too, but whatevs."

Tonight's intro was to the point + I'm all on board with Mick's announcement of not one, but TWO fatal four ways to determine who'll face Seth for the new RAW Belt, --

The WWE Universal Championship.

Let that sink in guys.

What are your opinions on it? I'm still iffy on the name, but I like the idea of whoever holds it pretty much be considered, "Mr.Universe" lel.

Also, can we talk about Finn's introduction + the amazing crowd reaction to it.

Not to forget the look Seth gave Finn.
He so checked him out.

Finn basically walked in like a total stud, the bad boy everyone falls for in high school and I don't blame them one bit.

Those baby blues, those abs, those thighs,

I was honestly just happy to see Finn, but when I heard him be announced as a member of one of the Fatal 4 Ways, I was like:

4) FIRST OF THE TWO 4 FATAL WAYS

Between Owens, Finn, and Cesaroz, I couldn't make my mind up as to who to choose for, so -- I was genuinely rooting for ALL three men.

↠ Cesaro's been MORE amazing than ever as of lately. I love how much more he's been interacting with the crowd, soaking in the moments where they all cherish him.

↠ Kevin + Rusev's short lived alliance was entertaining + KO taking leadership as the ring leader ; telling Rusev what to do was interesting to see. 

↠ Rusev was also damn impressive in tonight's match + I'll never get over how devastating his kicks are. The man is so much more agile + strong than they give him credit for. 

↠ Finn was ON FIRE tonight. It might be that it's his birthday (which sidenote: happy birthday to that handsome lego loving geek) & that it's his first match in RAW -- but man was he ON tonight.
↠His kicks were brutal asf
↠ His drop kick was a thing of beauty

↠He landed every move with extreme precision and strength, esp. when he kicked KO's face after that roll up to avoid the pop up power-bomb, DAYUM!

Even though I adore Finn, I do have to agree with Grave's statement that Finn winning was an "upset." I'm happy that he won, but at the same time, I really don't think he should be pushed over KO + Cesaro.

Admittedly KO's already had his moments, but Cesaro has not and to see another new commer trail past him is upsetting. 

I low-key wish that KO would have won solely to see Sami win the other Fatal 4 Way and for them to ONCE again clash.

5) 2nd Fatal Four Way

Sheamus, Zayn.
Two gingers vs Roman Reigns vs Jericho.

Stray observations:

- Is it just me or is Sheamus's entrance a tad bit more cinematic/ dramatic? I'm fucking living for it.

- Sami watching these three fight is precious.

The outcome of this match had me screaming. Roman Reigns is NOT the terrible wrestler everyone (including myself at one point) claims him to be. This man is getting MORE hate than ANYONE in the history of the WWE.

It's true that The Rock was once highly hated and used to get, "Die Rocky Die" chants, but at the rate they're going with RR, this will eventually happen. Roman in the title picture after Steph dragged him out makes NO fucking sense.

Sami should have won that match, validate his status furthermore as a worthy competitor for a title shot, ESPECIALLY after stealing the show with KO last night.

6) THE NEW DAY

That video montage was EVERYTHING!

By now, ya'll all KNOW just how much I love the New Day. I just can't stop gushing about how PROUD I am of these three beautiful chocolate men. I was low-key anxious, thinking that Xavier would backstab his bretherns during their celebration, but thankfully that never happened.

Man, I don't EVER want the New Day to split up.

I want them to keep twerking, singing, make dirty jokes, pull more modern internet references, and spread the message of positivity FOREVAAAAAA.

Someone sent me a message last night asking what my "obsession" is with mentioning that they're black is, and here's my response --

WE NEED MORE BLACK SUPERSTARS.
WE NEED DIVERSITY.
WE NEED BLACK CHAMPIONS.
WHY?

Not because they're "black" but because the WWE has RARELY had an "African-American" champ. Little girls and boys, grown men and women who are a "minority" NEED to see that EVERY race can compete for Gold. It shouldn't just be about ONE race/ ethnicity. 

Unfortunately the WWE's treatment towards blacks, asians, and mexicans has always been rather stereotypical and very upsetting.

THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE AND IT CAN START WITH THE NEW DAY THAT CONTINUES TO BREAK MOLDS!

I hope they fucking hold that title belt for another 300+ days cause ugh, they're simply the best.

Their celebration was GOLD + while I'm upset that Karl & Doc crashed it, at least they're still together.

Shout out to Sunny Boy, you're officially more over than Roman Reigns but wth man, you HAD ONE JOB AND THAT WAS TO KEEP THE NEW DAY SAFE.
I WOULD DRAG MYSELF THROUGH GLASS, RUN THROUGH FIRE, KISS VINCE K MCMAHON'S ASS TO KEEP MY BOYS SAFE!

7) NEVILLE!

Ayo @gravity, THANK YOU FOR BRINGING NEVILLE BACK!

Our majestic flying elf is back + I'm so happy to see that he looks brand spanking new / that the injury hasn't put his high-flying tactics to a halt.

I wish Neville had been in the Fatal 4 Way pit instead of Y2J, but I'me exited to see what'll come on Neville with the Cruiserweight Division coming to Raw.

// I feel horrible for saying this, but am I the only one that can't seem to cheer / care for Curtis Axl? I couldn't even like him when him + Punk / Heyman were in an angle. He seems like a nice guy, but I just find him incredibly dull.

I'll split this into two parts because Sasha Banks just won + that needs a whole chapter of it's own xD
