I've saved the best for last --

VS KEVIN OWENS:
THE FINAL CHAPTER.

The fact that this match was even hyped as a "final chapter" should be a good enough indicator to let you know just how much ground Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have covered in a few months.

I doubt this will be their final encounter,

and I don't want it to be,
but if it is the last fight they have for a while-

what a way to end it.

Holy fucking shit peeps, there's so much I want to say and I don't even know where to start because this match pulled on all my heart strings. It gave me anxiety, it brought tears out of me, it made me scream and smile and laugh ALL at once.

I need you guys to understand the background story of where I work first:

I work at a small coffee shop in San Diego. We're an independent company and our motto is all about peace & tranquility. This is a zen fucking yoga coffee shop place, and today when we played Battleground (which mind you, we normally have really  hippie dippie shit playing) I saw 


grown ass men,

grown ass women,

CRYING throughout this match.

There was a few people who knew about the WWE + kept up with it + enjoyed watching it and knew what the rivalry was all about.

However, there was also complete strangers to the product getting fully invested and understanding that what was happening was the result of a friendship gone sour because that's how magnificent the story telling in this match was.

Specifically during this part, I had a sweet old lady ask me if they had been friends and I nearly gushed EVERYTHING about the background on these two:

The first time my heart stopped was during Sami's potential botch:

I'm still trying to figure out if it was a genuine mistake. I'm more inclined to believe that it was in fact a mistake on Sami's part because the look on Kevin's face tells you everything.

Owens takes a hit to the head while also trying to hold onto his friend 
+ they never replayed the clip which they norm. don't when it's a botch
+ I was just terrified thinking Sami could get hurt again. 

Thankfully he wasn't.

This was brutal.

I cringed, I felt bad for Owens, but I was also cheering for Sami Sunshine.

Which brings me to my next point,

Sami Zayn is a fucking savage.

Another point I'd like to bring forth is that THIS was Sami Zayn's defining moment.

Kevin's already had more than enough defining moments, and while Zayn touched on glory when he first faced off against Cena in his first "debut" it was short lived by his injury.

With that said, this match will go down as a CLASSIC + FAVORITE of MINE + MY PICK AS BEST MATCH OF THE YEAR + A DEFINING MATCH IN ZAYN'S CAREER.

THIS WAS HIS MOMENT AND HE CAPITALIZED ON IT HARD CORE.

THE PHYSICALITY,
THE STORY TELLING,
THE EMOTIONS.

IT WAS ALL THE BEST.

Can we also talk about this sequence towards the end?

NOT ONE,
BUT TWO SUPLEXES AND SAMI TOOK NO TIME TO REST.
THE FLUIDITY WAS INSANE AND OH MY GOD I'M IN TEARS.

Fuck Brock Lesnar.
There's a new Suplex whiz in town and his name is Sami fucking Zayn.

Asides from the top notch wrestling, the emotion behind this match was fucking insane.

The only thing I can compare it to is Shawn Michaels vs Ric Flair and that doesn't even come close to how much THIS match made me bawl.

This part right fucking here.
Look at Sami's face.
He looks hella conflicted and then there's Kevin who looks like he's tired of always fighting his once best friend AND THEN,
just when I thought that Sami Sunshine would pull off an, "I'm sorry, I love you"

HE DOES THIS.

He props Kevin up and even though it takes everything out of him,  it's as if he switches off his humanity TO COLD HEARTEDLY GLARE HIS FORMER BROTHER IN THE EYES JUST BEFORE MURDERING HIM WITH A HELLUVA KICK.

I AM CRYING RIGHT NOW!

Sami picked up the win and as if that wasn't sweet enough,

the crowd made the entire match that much more memorable and special.

Two badass Canadians.
Kevin Owens,
and Sami Zayn gave it their all.
They put their spirit, their bodies, their mind, their soul's and hearts into this and in return, the crowd gave them a standing ovation and I was fucking too along with other people in the coffee shop who even said, "Oh Captain my Captain" in honor of these two men stealing the show.

The thought that this could the final chapter is beyond overwhelming.

I want Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to fight forever.
Whether it's against each other,
or them teaming up against others,
I NEED THEM TO FIGHT FOREVER,
OKAY?

I need some sort of Triple H - Shawn Michaels shit where they love each other, hate each other, then love each other then meet up years later and hate each other all over again.

Sami + Kev in 2050:

I don't care what anyone says,
this was hands down, the best fucking match in the event.

As a matter of fact, it's the first time I gave my UNDIVIDED attention to a match in a long time. It's the first time I didn't think about Cm Punk or other wrestlers I miss, (Edge, DB). 

These two men put on the best story + best match and it's not even hyped as the main event. They didn't need all the fancy embellishment, they just gave it their all and I can't stop raving and crying about this match.

The urge to drop all my other books + just publish stories on these two is REAL. I'm so incredibly proud of both men + I can only hope this really puts them on the map for championship material.

I'll not get over the fact that they got a standing fucking ovation.
THESE TWO MEN,
BEST FRIENDS OFF SCREEN,
MEN WHO YOU KNOW VINCE ISN'T KEEN OFF,
STOLE THE THUNDER AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN NEED MUCH OF THE WWE'S HELP BECAUSE THE CREATIVE TEAM COULDN'T FUCK THIS UP.

All the history was there, it was just a matter of repeating things on a larger scale but oh my god the outcome of this in the wwe territory is just mind blowing.

I'm gonna go wash my face now that I'm done with this rant.
