The Witch of Bach Hall
After the little show in the hallway, Courtney and Bridgette returned to their room. Bridgette chuckled as she closed their door
"That basically sums up Bach Hall for you," she said, looking at Courtney as she reached down and grabbed one of her suitcases off of the ground and set it on her bed, opening it up.
"Is it always this crazy?" Courtney asked, as Bridge came over and started helping her unpack.
"Most of the time, no. But Izzy can be a little.. Strange. One second she's as calm as could be, the next, she's jumping off of the clock tower with a parachute." Bridge said, shaking her head.
"What about the others?" Courtney asked, walking over and opening her wardrobe to hang up some of her blouses. Bridge bit her lip as she thought about the others.
"Zoey was the girl with the really bright red hair, she's quiet. Very shy, but super nice. Izzy is as you know.. Crazy. Gwen is pretty cool, a little strange but we all are. Lindsey is just stupid, but I personally think she's secretly smart. Heather is... Heather.. She can be hard to handle sometimes. But you'll get used to her eventually. Skye is super nice. She normally never leaves her room unless Duncan convinces her to. Duncan is... How do I say this? He has two sides. One side is that he's a super awesome guy who is cool to hang out with, and the other is.. Trouble. He can be a trouble maker. And then there's Geoff,"
Courtney watched as Bridgette's cheeks turned red slightly, and she smiled "Geoff is great. He's the first freshmen I met here. He showed me around campus. He's our party boy," Bridge said. Courtney nodded a little
"You all seem to be friends," she said. Bridge shrugged
"I wouldn't go as far as to say all of us are friends. But most of us are. We're all so dedicated towards our talents that it kinda ties us all together. We're all here for something. So that's pretty cool," Bridge explained. Courtney nodded
"Oh yeah, I totally get it. I see you like to dance," she said.
Bridge's face lit up "It's my second love. Next to surfing of course. I come from Malibu so naturally surfing is in my blood. I love the ocean. Until one day my Mom convinced me to join this dance class just to see what it would be like. And I loved it. It reminded me of being on my surf board, how you get to move freely like when you're in the water. And I guess I'm pretty good at it, seems how I got accepted here," Bridge said. "But being here really makes me miss home. It's a lot different than the West Cost. It's cold and there isn't an ocean around for miles,"
Courtney could tell that the subject was getting Bridgette down, so she changed the topic
"So what talents does everyone have?" she asked.
"Heather is a dancer like me. Lindsey is a singer, Duncan is an actor, Skye plays the cello, Gwen is an artist and so is Zoey. Izzy is an actress, and Geoff plays the guitar," Bridge said. Courtney smiled a little
"Duncan acts?" she asked, Bridge nodded
"He's great at it too," she said. Courtney continued to smile to herself, as a knock came at the door.
The door opened and Geoff and Duncan themselves walked in.
"Hey Malibu, we're all about to head to the Hamilton for dinner. You dudes wanna join?" Geoff asked, as Duncan casually leaned against the doorframe.
"Sure!" Bridge said excitedly. She then blushed and cleared her throat "Uh, I mean sure. Wanna come with us, Court?" she asked, Courtney blinked and looked around her messy side of the room
"I mean I still have so much to unpack-"
"Your suitcases aren't gonna go anywhere, sweetheart," Duncan said, with a smirk.
Courtney felt herself flush and she rolled her eyes "Okay, fine," she sighed.
Bridge and Geoff high-fived and the four all went into the hall where Gwen, Skye, Zoey and Izzy were all waiting.
"Awesome! We have a new member of the group!" Zoey cheered, Skye crossed her arms over her chest and chuckled at her roommate.
"Trent and Mike are gonna meet us at the Hamilton," Geoff said, earing a squeal out of Zoey and a blush out of Gwen.
"Who?" Courtney whispered to Bridgette as the group all walked towards the glass elevator.
"Trent and Mike are also freshmen who live downstairs. Trent is cool, he plays the guitar with Geoff. And Mike is an actor. He does this hilarious bit where he calls himself 'Chester' and acts like he's an old guy,"
Courtney giggled.
The door to 201 swung open as the group passed it, and the gorgeous girl from earlier walked out. Courtney remembered her as Heather.
"Where are you losers going?" she snipped. Gwen rolled her eyes
"To eat, because we're humans. We need to consume food to live," Gwen said, sarcasm dripping from her words. Heather rolled her eyes and flicked a piece of long black hair over her shoulder. Her eyes slowly settled on Courtney.
"So, you're the Taint girl I've heard so much about," Heather said.
Heather was a tall girl. It was no tell why she was a dancer. She had the slim body for the art. With long eyelashes and a dark set of eyes she was easily one of the prettiest girls Courtney had ever seen.
"Her name is Courtney," Skye snapped. Courtney shot her a thankful look.
"So.. Courtney. Has Bridgette showed you her crazy side yet?" Heather asked, her eyes narrowing on Bridgette. Heather reminded Courtney of a snake.
"Uh.. No?" Courtney mumbled, confused. Bridgette sighed, and looked away. Clearly upset about the topic.
"Bridgette, why don't you explain why you're last roommate left in the middle of the night?" Heather said, venom dripping from her words. Bridgette fidgeted uncomfortably
"She left, because she claimed I made her uncomfortable..." Bridgette mumbled. Courtney raised a brow.
"Maybe people don't like it when you take pictures of them when they're sleeping," Heather laughed. Bridgette's cheeks turned red with anger.
"Anyways. Welcome to the Academy Courtney! It's going to be a pleasure having you here," Heather hissed, turning on her heel and slamming the door in their faces.
Courtney swallowed hard and cleared her throat a little. Bridgette sighed and shook her head
"I hate her so much!" Bridgette cried, as they continued to walk.
"Hey Bridge, don't let her get to you," Geoff said, gently hugging her with one arm.
"What was Heather talking about? Pictures?" Courtney asked.
Duncan looked at her, clearly pissed that Heather would mess with his friend "Heather snuck into Bridgette's room and took pictures of her old roommate when she slept, then sent them to her claiming that Bridgette had taken them. Bridgette's old roommate took one look at the pictures and moved out the next night," he explained. Courtney gasped
"That's awful," she said, shaking her head. She touched Bridgette's shoulder
"Heather's little lie spread across campus so fast I could barely blink before the entire freshmen class was calling me Freak," Bridge said, tearing up. Geoff hugged her closer.
Courtney gently touched her shoulder "Don't worry Bridge, I don't think you're a freak,"
"Heathers just a massive bitch," Gwen said, crossing her pale arms.
"She's the definition of a bitch," Skye continued "Don't trust her, ever,"
"She is the witch of Bach Hall," Zoey mumbled
Courtney took their warnings to heart.
"Can we please keep walking to dinner. I'm so hungry I could eat a hoarse," Izzy whined.
Gwen laughed "I bet you could, Iz,"
