PILOT

Carolynn O'Hara smoothed out her skirt as she climbed the steps to her sister's apartment. She was so excited to see Juliet. Carolynn wrapped her knuckles on the door, a familiar blonde opened it and grinned.

"LYNN!" Juliet exclaimed, tackling Carolynn in a monster hug. Lynn hugged back, giggling and squealing in sync with her sister. "Julie!!"

"I'm so glad you're here, you're staying, and we're roommates again! " Juliet said loudly in Carolynn's ear. Carolynn just smiled and nodded. She'd always been the quieter twin.

"Me too, Julie." She said quietly as Juliet pulled back, a grin still on her face. "I have to get to work," Juliet told her, holstering her gun. Carolynn's eyes widened. "I forgot you're packing now that you're a cop and stuff." She replied, eying the spot where Juliet put her weapon.

"Detective," Jules replied, grinning. "Right, " said Carolynn. "I'm sorry I can't help you unpack. But I'm sending some help up to you," Juliet told her, looking unsure about whatever help she was sending.

"Ooookay?" Replied Carolynn, arching a brow. "They can be a bit much. They help out down at the station." Carolynn's eyes widened. "You shouldn't pull cops from work just to help me unpack."

Juliet laughed. "Oh, no. They're not cops. They're....well...I don't know what they are." Carolynn must have had a look because Jules shook her head. "Don't worry though, Lynn. They'll be able to help you unpack."

"Okay. See you later, Julie." Replied Carolynn as Juliet went out the door.

A knock on the door interrupted Carolynn's unpacking of her books. When she answered it, two men stood at the door. One, a medium-height black man with a shaved head and business casual attire, smiled politely. The other, a white male of about the same height, with brown hair and a partially unbuttoned flannel and jeans, smiled, but it seemed goofy.

The brunette spoke. "Hi there, My name is Shawn Spencer, this is my partner, Black Santa." The black man glared at Shawn.

Carolynn blinked a few times. That couldn't possibly be his name. The black man spoke up. "My name is actually Burton Guster, but you can call me Gus." Gus held out a hand and Carolynn shook it. "I'm Carolynn O'Hara. Juliet's twin." The two men exchanged a smirk. "Jules didn't say she had a sister." Shawn remarked, grinning devilishly. Gus elbowed his ribs and Shawn coughed. "I mean, hi."

Carolynn ignored that. "I assume y'all are the ones that Julie sent to help?" She asked, leaning on the door frame. Shawn nodded. "Jules said you needed help of the unpacking sort. Plus, she promised us smoothies."

Carolynn fought a snort. This man was absurd.

She opened the door further, allowing them in. "Just start unpacking boxes. I already brought them up." She told them as they shuffled in.

Gus, seeming to be the more responsible one, grabbed a box of books and began to alphabetically shelve them. Carolynn smiled. That was just the way to do it.

Shawn however, grabbed a handful of books and shoved them onto the shelf carelessly. Which made Lynn frown.

Gus noticed Shawn's method and the two began bickering until shawn flicked his ear. Gus returned the gesture. That went back and forth until they started shrieking girlishly.

Carolynn walked over and cleared her throat, which made both men freeze. "Everything...okay?" she asked, wanting at least Shawn out of the place.

Shawn smiled boyishly. "Couldn't be better, Carol." Shawn shook his head at the nickname he used. "Nah, nah. That's not right."

Carolyn arched a brow/ "Most people call me Lynn." Shawn shook his head. "Still not right." Carolynn crossed her arms. "Its my name?" Shawn shook his head and looked at Gus, who gave him a don't start kind of look.

Shawn looked around at all the boxes, seeing most of them filled with books. "Bookworm. That's it." He said and looked at her.

Carolynn scoffed, shaking her head.  Gus glared at Shawn before speaking up. "I apologize for my partner, he doesn't understand how a lady should be treated." Gus attempted an odd smolder and wiped the tip of his nose with his thumb. Shawn stared at Gus, shaking his head.

"Just....keep going, please?" Carolynn wanted out of...whatever this was.

An hour later, things were unpacked and good. Shawn and Gus had decided to go help themselves to the kitchen. Carolynn was about to tell them to leave, but she paused as she heard them bickering.

"Stop pretending you're a player, Gus." Shawn told Gus with a look. "Then stop coming up with flirty nicknames, like always." Gus retorted. Shawn clicked his tongue. "Suck it." He told Gus. "You suck it." Gus replied.

They both paused a moment and then, in two part harmony, sang the words,"Suck it".

These men, if you could even call them that, needed to get out.

Carolynn approached and Gus straightened while Shawn grinned a boyish grin. "Hey there, bookworm." Shawn smirked at Gus as he glared Murderously.

"I think I'm all unpacked, you guys are free to leave." She told them in feigned politeness. Gus nodded and grabbed Shawn's arm. Shawn continued to flirt. "Shawn, don't. She said leave so we leave." Gus struggled to pull Shawn. "See ya later, bookworm." Shawn mockingly saluted as Gus dragged him out the door.

Carolynn sighed and plopped on the couch. What strange men.
