(Y/N) POV

Qrow and Summer board the Eagle as I start the engines. It's weird to say that least, I'm so used to hearing the growl of the engine...to have it not there..is unsettling

"Wow that's so much better," Qrow says as he leaps into the Copilot seat

"Yea, but we are down by about 50% power," I say as I ready for lift-off. The vertical thrusters start to lift us off the ground, once we are high enough, I diverge the power to the main thrusters.

"Yea...much better," Qrow says as he closes his eyes

"Supposed to be looking for grim," I say as he wakes up

"Right," He says rolling his eyes

I fly us at a moderate pace, slow enough for us to get a clear look at the surroundings.

"So, you're from Atlas right?" Qrow says. I may have been here for a while but me and Qrow never really got the know each other

"That's right," I answer

"Hmm, must be tough here...after all you don't have near as much technology," Qrow says smugly

"It's not too bad, I find I like Beacon better then Atlas," I say

"Yea," He says looking out the window

"What's that?" He says pointing. I look where he points and I see a metallic reflection.

" I'm not sure," I say as I maneuver us so we can get closer. It suddenly shoots up in the sky. Without the cover of the trees, I recognized that it was a plane...more especially...I recognized it was the one that shot me down

I quickly smash the throttle to full to start a chase. However, I'm down 50% on power because of the silencer. All I could do is watch it get further and further away

I need to go faster!

"Faster you ask?" I hear a voice. I perk up and look around the cockpit to see just me and Qrow

"Faster?" The voice asks again

"Yes," I say in my mind

"Faster we go," The voice says...somehow, I feel a smirk

The Eagle suddenly gets a speed boost as we speed to catch it

When I get into firing range, I start pelting the plane with bullets. It quickly evades all of my attacks. Then, it suddenly pitches and rolls 90 degrees and then disappears. Both Qrow and I look around in the air hoping to find it

I couldn't even see it with my gauges and instruments

"Damn it," I say out loud

"Any reason why we chased it?" Qrow asks

"Yea, it shot me down," I told him

"So revenge," Qrow asks

"Kinda," I admit

"Ok then, other then that plane thing, I don't think I saw any grim," Qrow says

"No, I don't think so," I say

"I second that!" Summer yells from the Cargo Bay

I start laughing a bit as Qrow looks at me weird

"I forgot she was here," I say as Qrow just grunts. We return to the village to see Tai and Raven waiting for us

"All clear?" Raven asks

"Yep! All clear!" Summer says excitedly

"Ok, so we can head back now, right? My flask is almost empty," Qrow says waving his flask around

"Fill up in the well then, plenty of water here," I tell him

"that's not water that's in my flask," Qrow says, I just ignored him

"Ok, I think we can head back then," I tell them

"Yay!" Summer raises her arms

We pile back into the Eagle and head back to beacon.

After we arrived, it was just turning morning

"You guys go on ahead, I'll catch up later, I need to do something," I tell the others as they head back to the dorm.

I look around the aircraft until I say hello

I'm captured aside by a response

"Hello (Y/N)" a voice says

"Who are you?" I ask looking around

"It's hard to explain, I just awoke after a long slumber," the voice continues

"Yea?" I say waiting for an explanation

"I think I'm the mighty Lizart, a proud giant bird. But I'm stuck in this shell....no...not stuck....more like possessing this metal thing," The voice says

"Ok, next question, why can I only hear, you spoke earlier but Summer or Qrow didn't notice," I ask

"Um not sure myself, however, I do remember you from before...I don't know where though," the voice says

"Alright," I say

"Go on to your friends, I need some time to think," The voice says

"Ok," I say as I walk out and put the Eagle in my special mental place

Since we arrived before classes start, we all had to attend classes.....Summer ended up sleeping and Qrow woke himself up every time he slammed his head on the table. Raven and Tai somehow managed to stay awake for the whole thing.

Let's say that when we actually returned to our dorm, we all passed out instantly.

"Can you hear me?" I hear a voice late at night

"Yes," I say out loud

"Don't talk just think, I know what your thinking," the voice says

"Um ok, are you Lizart?" I ask

"Yes, since you stored the metal thing in your mind, I can speak freely," It says

"that metal thing is a plane, and its name is the Eagle," I correct them

"Ok, weird name, I'd call it fylin," Lizart says

"It's a good name compared to that one," I say

"Difference of Opinion," It says

"Alright, how did you end up here?" I ask it

"I still don't know, based on what I see, you guys don't seem to be able to use magic," Lizart says

"Magic?" I ask

"Nevermind that, I remember how I got placed in here," It says

"Oh, yea? How?" I ask curiously

"Yes, it seems I was fatally wounded by a human called Salem, from there I remember waking up in a metal body. I couldn't control myself and I was looking at the Man responsible...Ironwood," Lizart says

"That's my Dad," I say

" I know, I remember people trying to tame my power by force, they put electronics in the metal body to try and control me...let's say none of them made it back," It says

"...but then. I met women. She didn't try and tame me, not for her sake at least. She begged me to spare her young son, Ironwood was forcing him to pilot me. I remember he barely could reach the pedals. I listened to her, I lent my great power to that young boy. But this shell couldn't take the force, we barely made it back," He says

"That young boy....it was me right?" I ask

"Yes, it was you indeed," Lizart says

"Hmm," I say thinking. So that's why, but that doesn't explain why I didn't notice earlier

"I can hear your thoughts," Lizart says

"Oh right," I respond

"Ironwood tried to cut my ties with my metal body...they tried to contain me In something called a computer, it seemed to work. My mind seemed to just shut down. But then I was reconnected, I forget who did it though," It says

"Must have been Carole," I say under my breath.

"Anyway, in my shut down state, I gave the body...or the plane you called it. My power to assist in flight. Granted..it wasn't everything I had. But it was enough," He says

"I see," I say

"Anyway, I'm going back hibernating," It says

"Ok," I say as I don't feel his presence anymore.

This may explain why only I can pilot the Eagle......and why there is only one...or so I thought...

There still is that one plane that shot me down...he says he was a great bird at a time where there was magic....maybe there was more?

So many questions.....and so many I won't get the answer too
