Chapter 4: The Forest of Hope
(Don't mind the image, it's just something that I hope y'all will laugh at-)
Yesterday before Olimar and I were about to go to sleep in the ship, we found a place nearby that had a ton of our ship parts nearby. He called it, 'The Forest of Hope.' The reason why is because he has hope that we'll be able to make it back to Hocotate in time. I believe we can too, but as long as we don't waste time with pointless things, then we can make it! We decided to go there first thing in the morning.
(Ah yes, some of the dreaded choices That could lead you to the best ending, Not really too good but good ending [There will be two because Oh how I have an idea for these endings :>], or the worst ending-)
As we landed onto the ground of the Forest of Hope, I noticed something far back into the forest. It was Yellow, and it looked kinda like the Pikmin's Onion. As the ships landed, Olimar was able to get out of his ship normally. Though, I was tossed out of my ship abruptly. We had to plan out our day, before we could do anything else, so we did just that.
Stick together and scout the area, and gather ship parts that you see, but ignore the yellow thing until noon. (+1 Cooperation, +2 Strategy, +1 Maiko Parts, +2 Dolphin Ship parts.)
Split up, scout the area, and see what the yellow thing is. (+1 Strategy, +1 Maiko Ship part, +2 Dolphin Ship part)
Stick together, scout the area, defeat the Bulborbs, gather Ship parts, and at noon look for the yellow thing. (+1 Cooperation, +4 toughness, +1 Maiko, +1 Dolphin)
Split up, scout the area, defeat the Bulborbs, collect ship parts, and look for the yellow thing. (+5 Toughness, +1 Maiko, +2 Dolphin)
(Be wise with the decisions!! There are 12 parts for the Maiko and 30 parts for the Dolphin. You've collected 2 parts for the Dolphin so far, and two parts for the Maiko, adding with the number of parts you have collected, you should have 3 Maiko Parts and 3 or 4 Dolphin Parts. In order to get the Best end, you'll need all the ship parts of both ships!)
*If you both stuck together*
We decided that splitting up would be a bad option if one of us were to get badly injured, and that we should stay together just in case. We had at least 50 Pikmin out of the Onion, and if we were to be attacked, then we would be okay. We defeated the Bulborb pups, and the mother Bulborb. As we did that though, I noticed that he saw something that made him ecstatic. It was the Fuel Eternal Dynamo, he seemed so excited for the ship part, that he sent almost every single Pikmin we had after it. I laughed a little, as the Pikmin transported the Dynamo. I also noticed a Ship part of the Maiko was nearby. It was the Eject-o-gone!! It wasn't entirely heavy, only 10 Pikmin were needed to carry it to the Maiko.
Let me explain why I was glad to have that part back. The Eject-o-gone was exactly what it's name meant! It'd usually keep you from ejecting out of the ship everytime you landed, and when you wanted to get out of the ship, you'd be able to get out of the ship normally, instead of being shot out like a missile or a bullet. Hence the reason why I was abruptly tossed out of the Maiko.
After we sent the Pikmin to transport the parts back to the ship, we went to see what the yellow thing was. I walked up to it, and lightly pet its surface. The Onion then flew high into the sky and then landed gently. A sprout popped out of the flower on its top, and buried itself into the ground. I waited a second for the sprout to bloom, and when it sprouted to a leaf, I plucked it from the ground.
It was smaller than a Red Pikmin, but it was still a Pikmin. It was yellow, and instead of a pointed nose, it had ears. It was lightweight, and could be tossed into the air, higher than the other Pikmin. Clarity also seemed curious around it.
Olimar then took notes of the little yellow Pikmin.
"The color is different, but it seems to be a Pikmin nonetheless. First glance suggests this one has what, in some circles, could be considered very large ears. It looks like it may weigh less than the others... In what other ways might it be different from the red Pikmin? No matter. They are obviously quite similar, so I shall call this one a Pikmin as well."
I kinda wanted to start writing notes as well, but I couldn't because then we'd be wasting time. We gathered up about 50 of the Yellow Pikmin, and when the Pikmin took the last Bulborb to the Onion....
"Huh? The Onion stopped putting sprouts out...?" I asked with concern. Olimar then stepped under the Onion, and viewed the Amount of Pikmin in the Onion. "Fascinating... The numbers are still increasing incredibly well!" He was too excited about the Pikmin, but I was too so I couldn't say anything.
We looked around and saw little rocks and were about to ignore them until...
One of the Yellow Pikmin picked it up and it started glowing. I was about to panic, and Olimar, somehow not even flinching wrote down some notes.
"The yellow Pikmin have picked up some peculiar stones. Why did they decide to grab them? This action seems to be instinctive to the yellow Pikmin. But just what are these strange glowing stones? Brightly glowing cracks cover them. Perhaps these cracks indicate that there's tremendous power locked away within. This merits further research."
... HOW IS HE NOT FLINCHING ABOUT THIS... The Pikmin is holding a weird rock, that could also be a possible BOMB... Ehh, never mind, it could come in handy.
I picked up the Pikmin holding the bomb, and tossed it at a nearby wall of stone. 'Maybe the rocks can break that wall down...' I thought. The Pikmin flew high up, and landed at the top of the gate. It put the rock down and ran back towards us. The wall was damaged, and we looked to the Yellow Pikmin as the were all grabbing more of the bombs. There were three bombs. I tossed two more of the bombers at the wall and when they ran back to the group, the bombs exploded. We then saw another one of the Dolphin's ship parts.
(Ignore this if you had the option with one of each ship part)
The Pikmin carried the part to the Dolphin, while Olimar and I had a happy smile on our faces.
Sundown was coming down like a snowstorm. We had only a few minutes before the sun sets completely. We put the Pikmin in the Onion, and I picked up Clarity. We got to our ships, and looked around for any leftover Pikmin. Olimar blew his whistle, and I blew mine as well. No Pikmin were out still. We gathered in our ship getting ready for tomorrow's round across the area with our newly found Yellow Pikmin.
*If you decided to split up*
We decided to split up, Olimar and I split up the Pikmin in a group of 25. We attacked a ton of Bulborbs and we gathered two ship parts. I was guessing Olimar had found a ship part because he was getting 20 more Pikmin from the Onion, and then leading them to a ship part. I looked around where he found his ship part, and noticed that on top of a large cliff, under a bush, my Eject-o-gone was hidden there!!
I feel like I should explain it, but I feel like you may already know that it just keeps me from being ejected from my ship like a bullet.
It started to become noon, and I decided to look for the Yellow thing. It took a while but I finally found it! I then communicated with Olimar and told him to come to where I was.
(Basically the same thing happens after that. I hope y'all enjoyed this 1392 worded chapter! And see you in the next oneeee!!!)
