True Love Shines Through

Pikachu's POV:

Nothing.

Silence.

That was Pikachu's world right then and there.

Blackness.

A void.

A voice in the distance . . . .

"Pikachu?"

"Hrrrmmmmghllllllllllllllllll," was all Pikachu could muster to say.

"Pikachu, wake up! Wake up!! Please . . . "

In fact, Pikachu just wanted to stay in that void. But he could already feel his eyelids separating, the light pouring into the void. So all he could do was just flutter them open.

There was Eevee.

As glamorous as ever.

Pikachu could already feel the blush creeping to his cheeks as Eevee shrieked, "YOU'RE BACK!!! YOU'RE BACK!!!! YOU'RE BAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!"

She immediately threw her arms around him, immediately amplifying his blush, but he returned the hug. He could already feel her gentle breath against his right cheek, and her tail was wagging, so she was obviously happy.

As soon as she pulled away, Pikachu asked, "What happened??? I can't really remember anything . . . "

Eevee's face turned dark. "I was hoping you'd save that question for later. But since that topic is up for question . . . . "

Eevee's POV:

After she explained everything, Pikachu's expression darkened. "So what you're saying is that I was here, a useless waste of a Pokemon, while you saved the day?"

She could hardly breathe. Was he mad at her?? "Y-yeah, that's what happened . . . basically."

Silence. Then...

"I KNEW YOU COULD WIN!!"

Caught in the embrace of her~boyfriend maybe?~, Eevee could hardly believe that this was happening. Praise for something she could never have done without a sacrifice.

"You're the most perfect, amazing, wonderful girl in the world! You've defeated your own father! You've taken everything and turned it to your favor! You're-

"You're a hero!"

Wait.

What?

Tell her something she didn't know, and it was the opinion that she could be a hero.

"Sorry, but you've got the wrong person," Eevee responded, backing up. Instantly, a shyness she never knew existed came back and bit her. "I can't be a hero. I disobeyed my own father, you shouldn't treat your parents like trash. He was the only one who cared for me for so long, he never told me where my mother went though..."

"That's okay! That's the first attribute to being a hero, in my personal viewpoint," Pikachu reassured, "Basically, acknowledging that you've done something wrong, but knowing that it was all for the greater good. You've saved hundreds, maybe thousands, of innocent lives! That's all it takes, in my opinion."

And with the sweetest kiss, Eevee could finally believe him.

She wasn't that horrible a person.

She could do something valuable.

She...

She's a hero!
